Abstract

This study analyzes the performance index of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road Package 3 construction project using the Earned Value Method (EVM) to evaluate time and cost performance. Infrastructure projects, particularly toll roads, play a vital role in enhancing regional connectivity and economic growth. However, large-scale construction projects frequently face challenges such as cost overruns and delays. The Earned Value Method provides a comprehensive framework for measuring project performance by comparing planned costs, actual expenditures, and completed work. This research employs key performance indicators, including Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS), Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP), and Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP), to determine the Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI). The findings reveal that the project experienced schedule delays, with an SPI of 0.93, indicating that work progress was behind the planned schedule. However, the project maintained cost efficiency, as shown by a CPI of 1.06, reflecting lower actual costs than budgeted. The study highlights the importance of continuous performance monitoring using EVM to identify potential risks, optimize resource allocation, and support timely decision-making. The results provide valuable insights for project managers to improve efficiency and ensure project success in large-scale infrastructure developments.

Abstract

Transportation is an important part that cannot be separated from human life, as it plays a crucial role in various aspects, including socio-cultural, economic, engineering, political, defense, and legal sectors. Roads are one of the primary means of transportation that significantly impact the development and progress of a region by facilitating the movement of goods, services, and people. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of the Maliana - Bobonaro road transportation section, which serves as a vital route connecting key areas and supporting local economic growth. This study utilizes the Calculation Capacity Road method based on the PKJI 2023 (Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines) to assess road performance and travel time. The results of the study indicate that the Maliana – Bobonaro road section demonstrates good performance, with a capacity (C) of 2735.85 smp/hour, a degree of saturation of 0.235 and 0.195, and a level of service categorized as A and B. These results suggest that the road operates efficiently with minimal congestion, ensuring smooth traffic flow and reducing travel time. However, continuous monitoring and periodic evaluations are essential to maintain this performance level, especially with potential future increases in traffic volume due to regional development. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers and transportation planners in improving road infrastructure and ensuring sustainable transportation systems.

Abstract

The cost analysis between the wholesale wage system and work efficiency has special significance in housing projects, such as in Central Park Juanda Housing by PT. The Scarlet Witch is a saint. Through a quantitative approach, this study also contributes to the construction management literature related to workforce management in the field. This study used a sample of 45 respondents consisting of construction workers in the Central Park Juanda housing project, including foremen, handymen, and other field workers. Respondent profiles included gender distribution (82% male), age (dominant 31-41 years), education (47% high school/vocational school), competency certification (58% have certificates), and work experience (dominant 11-15 years). The questionnaire data was tested for validity using the Pearson method with a significance level of 5% and all items were declared valid (rh ? 0.3). Reliability was tested with Cronbach's alpha, and all variables (X1 to Y) were declared reliable (? ? 0.6). The results showed that all independent variables (X1: Labor, X2: Wages, X3: Materials, and X4: Projects) had a negative influence on project efficiency (Y). However, only the variable X4 (Project State) had a significant effect with a significance value of 0.002 (< 0.05), while the other variables (X1, X2, and X3) were insignificant., then the data shown by the probability of significance of the ANOVA analysis was with a significance value of 0.021 < 0.05 thus Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that simultaneously there was a significant influence. This shows that the state of the project plays an important role in influencing work efficiency, while labor, wholesale wages, and materials do not have a significant impact in the context of this study.

Abstract

Improvement of train services will always develop along with the development of passenger demand. Likewise in the case of Arjonegoro Train as one of the mainstay urban trains in East Java. The development of local trains, especially Arjonegoro Train, triggers the public's desire to get optimal service. The increasing expectations of passengers can be the basis for planning to improve train services. However, every improvement plan also requires a mature budget and cost design so that the plan can be implemented properly. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. 199 respondents were successfully obtained as primary data. This study uses descriptive analysis methods and literature studies in determining the service improvements needed and the cost of improving these services will be estimated. This study will examine the level of passenger satisfaction with 6 service variables to determine what services need to be improved from Arjonegoro Train. The results of the study showed that the service with the highest negative sentiment was in the availability of seats, availability of travel schedules, availability of platforms and availability of canopies. This can be mitigated by improving services in the form of adding 1 Trainset and improving the platform and canopy at the station with an estimated cost requirement for improving the Arjonegoro train service of Rp. 110,373,211,939.

Abstract

The infrastructure problem in Ponorogo Regency is characterised by flooding in urban areas, which is attributable to deficiencies in the drainage system. The regions of Ponorogo City that are most susceptible to flooding include Jl. Pramuka, Jl. Jaksa Agung Suprapto, Jl. Bhayangkara, and Jl. Kbp Duriyat. The findings of the distribution suitability calculations for Ponorogo Rainfall Station over a period of 20 years demonstrate the validity of the calculations performed using the Log Pearson Type III method. Subsequently, the Normality Test was conducted in accordance with the Smirnov-Kolmogorov And Chi-Squared criteria. The Log Pearson Type III Method value was deemed to be acceptable. Consequently, the Log Pearson Type III Method was selected as the rainfall design based on a 10-year return period of 111,6819 mm. The results of the 10-year flood discharge analysis, with rational calculations for Jl. Pramuka Kanan at 0,879 m³/s, Jl. Pramuka Kiri at 0,949 m³/s, Jl. Jaksa Agung Suprapto Kanan at 0,662 m³/s, Jl. Suprapto Kiri at 0,722 m³/s, Jalan Bhayangkara Kanan at 0,520 m³/s, Jalan Bhayangkara Kiri at 0,654 m³/s, Jalan Kbp Duriyat Kanan at 0,574 m³/s, and Jalan Kbp Duriyat Kiri at 0,652 m³/s were observed. The calculation results indicate that the 10-year return period calculation discharge in the existing drainage channel exceeds the capacity, necessitating repairs. The repair was executed using U-Ditch 100 cm×100 cm for Jl. Pramuka Kanan, Jl. Pramuka Kiri, Jl. Jaksa Agung Suprapto Kanan, and Jl. Jaksa Agung Suprapto Kiri. In addition to the enhancements that have been made by utilising U-Ditch 80 cm×80 cm for Jl. Bhayangkara Kanan, Jl. Bhayangkara Kiri, Jl. KBP Duriyat Kanan and Jl. KBP Duriyat Kiri, further developments are anticipated.

Abstract

Indonesia is in an active seismic area prone to earthquakes, including the city of Surabaya, which is crossed by the Kendeng Fault. Many modest homes in the area were built without considering earthquake resistance standards, thus posing a high risk of damage and casualties. This research aims to evaluate the reliability level of simple house buildings against earthquakes in the Tandes, Asemrowo, and Sukomanunggal Districts, West Surabaya, which are crossed by the Kendeng Fault. The methods used are Rapid Visual Screening (RVS) based on FEMA P-154 guidelines and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) as a deductive approach to map the causes of structural vulnerability. The results showed that none of the 30 housing units met the safety criteria; 76.7% of buildings require follow-up evaluation, and 23.3% are classified as unsafe. The dominant factors affecting vulnerability include non-standard foundation conditions, the absence of structural fastening elements, the use of wall materials without reinforcement, and the irregularity of building geometry. These findings indicate the need for technical intervention through structural retrofit, public education about earthquake-resistant buildings, and the formulation of regulations for the construction of residential houses in earthquake-prone zones. The combination of RVS and FTA methods has proven effective in providing a comprehensive overview of the structural condition of existing buildings and can be used as the basis for seismic risk mitigation strategies in urban areas.

Abstract

The feasibility of developing inpatient services at Ketrowonojoyo Public Health Center (Puskesmas) must comply with the requirements set in Minister of Health Regulation No. 43 of 2019 and No. 19 of 2024, which mandate adequate office space and service rooms to support the upgrade into an inpatient facility. The main problem lies in the limited facilities that do not yet meet regulatory standards, thus hindering service expansion. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of establishing inpatient services through a SWOT analysis approach, focusing on infrastructure, human resources, and environmental management. The analysis shows that the Puskesmas requires the addition of seven service rooms to fulfill inpatient criteria, improved access and parking facilities, and upgraded medical waste management systems. Furthermore, the provision of essential human resources is needed, including one physician, six nurses, four midwives, two cleaning staff, four cooks, and two laundry staff, alongside continuous training to enhance medical and non-medical personnel competencies. The findings imply that with the planned additions, Ketrowonojoyo Puskesmas can provide inpatient services comparable in quality to hospitals in Pacitan, thereby improving accessibility and community trust in local health services.
