Abstract

This study aimed to analyze teacher professionalism comprising the following competences: pedagogic, personal, social, and professional. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study design. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Results of this study are as the following: (1) In terms of pedagogical competence, the teachers showed their understanding of: the learners, the design and implementation of learning, evaluation of learning outcomes, and the development of learners to actualize their different potentials. (2) The teachers showed their personal competence in the ways they behaved, (3) The teachers social competence was shown in the ability to adjust to the demands of work and environment. (4) The teachers professional competence was shown in their ability to master the learning materials, (5) In terms of resource management, the principal optimally attempted to empower all sources, particularly teachers and administration staff that exist in the school.Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tentang profesionalisme guru yang terdiri dari kompetensi: pedagogik, pribadi, sosial, dan profesional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Dalam hal kompetensi pedagogik, guru menunjukkan pemahaman mereka tentang: peserta didik, perancangan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, evaluasi hasil belajar, dan pengembangan peserta didik untuk mengaktualisasikan potensi yang berbeda. (2) Guru menunjukkan kompetensi pribadi mereka dengan cara mereka berperilaku, (3) kompetensi sosial guru ditunjukkan dalam kemampuan untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan pekerjaan dan lingkungan. (4) kompetensi profesional guru ditunjukkan dalam kemampuan mereka menguasai materi pembelajaran secara luas dan mendalam, (5) Dalam hal pengelolaan sumber daya, kepala sekolah secara optimal berusaha untuk memberdayakan semua sumber, terutama guru dan staf administrasi yang ada di sekolah.Kata kunci: guru professional, kompetensi guru, pengembangan keprofesionalan berkelanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to obtain decent controversial issues-based student worksheet or commonly known as LKPD and to understand the effectiveness ratio of student worksheet to improving of student’s social skills class IV in elementary school. The study method used is research and development in accordance with the theory of Borg & Gall. Collecting data utilizes social skill observation sheet. The subject to this research is students of class IV in elementary school. The results of the study show that the first, controversial issues-based student worksheet is appropriate to use. According to results of assessment, comment, and suggestion from the validation sheet which has been filled out by the validator, its category is "very good". The second, controversial issues-based student worksheet is effective to improve students’ social skill which is evidenced by the result of the Wilcoxon test output which obtained a significance value of 0.003 <0.05, and is supported by descriptive output refred that the average value of students’s social skill social skills before 22.41, and after given on controversial issues-based student worksheet is higher, 30.83.

Abstract

From the results of the answers to the test of mathematical communication skills and the deployment of the questionnaire obtained the problem, namely the low capacity of mathematical communication students, the difficulty of students to write the form of mathematical symbols, and the limitations of teaching materials used during learning in class V in elementary school. This study aimed to develop valid worksheets of students (LKPD) on building simple spaces in class V elementary school, knowing the practicality of LKPDs from users, educators and students, and knowing the effectiveness of LKPD on increasing mathematical communication skills. The method of development used in this study referred to the research design of Borg and Gall. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation, observation, questionnaires, and students' mathematical communication skills tests. The subjects of this study were 25 control class students and 25 experimental class students at SDN 1 Semuli. The study results stated that LKPD products based on the AIR learning model were valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical communication skills. It was proven by material experts, media experts, and language experts validating results with the "Very Valid" category. LKPD based on AIR learning models was practiced to be used by fulfilling the aspects of attractiveness, convenience, and usefulness with the "very practical" category. LKPD-based AIR learning models were effectively used to improve students' mathematical communication skills in the pretest and post-test scores, with the results of the calculation of the experimental class n-gain entry in the category was quite effective
