Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of the search, solve, create, and share (SSCS) learning model on critical thinking ability and student learning outcomes in science subjects. The sampling technique is purposive sample population through the experimental method, this research population is the students of class V SDN 12 Palu. Based on the result of data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) there was the influence of learning model search, solve, create and share (SSCS) to student critical thinking ability on science subjects with human and animal organ material; 2) there was the influence of learning model of search, solve, create and share to student learning outcomes on science subjects with human and animal organ material: 3) the average gain after the posttest in the experimental class was 82.97; 4) the results of observation of teacher activity and observation of student activities can be said to be good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem posing tipe pre-solution posing berbasis Eksperimen terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa SMP Negeri 14 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen kuasi dengan desain the non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 14 Palu, dengan sampel sebanyak 33 siswa untuk kelas kontrol dan 32 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen. Instrumen hasil belajar fisika berupa tes pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi melalui validitas konstruksi. Berdasarkan tes hasil belajar fisika pada materi kalor yang diperoleh, menunjukan bahwa nilai rata – rata untuk kelas eksperimen yaitu 16,97 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 2,97 dan nilai rata – rata hasil belajar siswa untuk kelas kontrol yaitu 13,85 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 3,28. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat signifikan pembelajaran model problem posing tipe pre-solution posing terhadap hasil belajar fisika pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 14 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of ASSURE learning model on student learning outcomes in temperature and heat material of class XI SMA. The method used is quasi-experimental with equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all students of class XI SMA . Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling with the sample of the study being class XI Mipa 2 as the experimental class and class X1 Mipa 5 as the control class. The research instrument in the form of learning outcomes tests and observation sheets that have been validated by the validator and field tested. Data analysis used inferential statistics is normality, homogeneity, hypothesis testing (2-party t test). Based on the results of research and analysis of research data, obtained the value of student learning outcomes at posttest average value of the experimental class is 14.90 with a standard deviation of 3.23 and for the control class of 11.57 with a standard deviation of 2.99. The test results of the t test statistic of 2 parties from hypothesis testing obtained the price thitung(4,11)>ttabel(1,67) or thitung(-4,11)>ttabel(-1,67) so that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This result states that there are differences in student learning outcomes in physics subjects between classes taught with the ASSURE learning model and Direct Intruction learning models. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the ASSURE learning model on student learning outcomes in temperature and heat material in class XI of SMA. Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to analyze the difficulties of students of SMA Negeri 3 Palu. The subjects of this study were 26 students of SMA Negeri 3 Palu grade 11th IPA in the 2018/2019 academic year, 26 students who were divided into three categories: high, medium and low level based on the results of Respondent Selection Test (TSR). 2 respondens in each category were given a thinking-aloud test (TA). The instrument used in this study was a TSR consisting of 25 reasoned multiple choice questions and an essay test conducted in TA consisting of 6 essay questions. The results shoewd that difficulty of concepts understanding experienced by students divided into 4 types, namely: (1) difficulty of facts understanding, (2) difficulty of concepts understanding, (3) difficulties of operating and calculation processes, and (4) difficulty of principle understanding. Based on the results of the overall percentage of types shows that in general the difficulty of students' understanding concepts is in the high category with a percentage of difficulty of 67.5% and the factors that cause difficulties in understanding students' physics concepts consist of two factors namely external factors and internal factors.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' physics learning outcomes of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Torue by using learning cycle 5E model assisted with computer simulation. Design of this action research methods follows the model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart and it was done in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages of planning, implementation of action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study are students of class VIIE SMP Negeri 1 Torue which amounted to 24 students. They consist of 13 male and 11 female students. The research material for cycle I is “form of substance” and cycle II materil is “expansion”. In this study, data were collected through observation and student activity, test of action result and interviews. On the evaluation of cycle I, we obtained classical completeness about 65.21% and classical absorption was about 68.26%. Student activity is in “enough category” with percentage about 78,25%. Teacher activity is in “good category” with 85% percentage. In the second cycle, we obtained learning classical completeness about 86.96% and classical absorption about 81.96%. Student activity and teacher activity are in “very good categories” with percentages of 90% and 96.67%, respectively. It was concluded that the implementation of 5E learning cycle learning model assisted computer simulation can improve student learning result of VIIE grade SMP Negeri 1 Torue.

Abstract

Bencana longsor merupakan salah satu peristiwa alam yang paling umum terjadi di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya penambahan wawasan masyarakat tentang mitigasi bencana alam melalui kegiatan sosialisasi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk menambah wawasan pengetahuan fisika, teknik peringatan dini, dan mengenalkan faktor-faktor pendorong dan penghambat terjadinya bencana alam pada masyarakat Kecamatan Palolo. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 50 orang.  Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi bencana alam tanah longsor. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya wawasan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap konsep fisika terpadu terhadap kondisi topografi Kecamatan Palolo, teknik peringatan dini dalam mitigasi terhadap ancaman bencana alam tanah longsor, dan menemukan faktor pendorong berupa sifat gotong royong dalam menangani bencana alam tanah secara tradisional yang sudah tumbuh dalam masyarakat sebagai suatu kearifan lokal dan menjadi perhatian dalam sosialisasi. Berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pentingnya konsep fisika yang sederhana pada masyarakat dalam menangani bencana tanah longsor, diperlukannya peringatan dini yang bersifat mitigasi dari tanda-tanda alam, dan tetap melestarikan kearifan lokal gotong royong untuk menyelesaikan masalah masyarakat desa, serta pentingnya perangkat desa memotivasi masyarakat pada setiap kali kegiatan sosialisasi atau pertemuan desa secara melembaga.  Landslides are one of the most common natural events in Indonesia. Therefore it is necessary to increase public knowledge about natural disaster mitigation through socialization activity. This community service aimed to broaden the knowledge of physics, early warning techniques and recognize the driving and inhibiting factors of natural disasters in the people of Palolo Subdistrict. Fifty people attended this community service. The method used was the socialization of landslide natural disasters. The results of this community service were increasing community understanding of integrated physics concept of the topographic conditions of Palolo District, early warning techniques in mitigating the threat of landslides, and finding driving factors in the form of cooperation in dealing with traditional land disasters that have grown in society as local wisdom and concern in socialization. Based on the community service that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the importance of simple physics concepts for the community in dealing with landslide disasters, the need for early warning that is mitigating natural signs, and still preserving the local wisdom of cooperation which has been in solving problems of the village community, as well as the importance of village officials motivating the community at every socialization activity or institutionalized village meeting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe connected materi konsep cahaya, serta mendeskripsikan kelayakannya yang ditinjau dari: 1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran materi konsep cahaya; 2) respons siswa terhadap perangkat; dan 3) hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D model Kemp serta analisis fenomenologis. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa: 1) kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa Buku Bacaan Siswa, Lembar Kerja Siswa, dan Tes hasil Belajar adalah berkategori baik; 2) respon siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran terpadu  tipe connected baik; 3) produk hasil pengembangan perangkat yang dikembangkan berdampak signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Poso. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe connected materi konsep cahaya layak untuk digunakan. Produk pengembangan ini dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi salah satu alternatif pada pembelajaran materi konsep cahaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) berbantuan komik edukatif terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi yang menggunakan desain penelitian the equivalent pretest-postest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel pada kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan sampel pada masing-masing kelas berjumlah 32 dan 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pemahaman konsep berbentuk tes pilihan ganda beralasan berjumlah 20 soal. Berdasarkan tes pemahaman konsep yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa nilai posttest lebih tinggi daripada nilai pretest. Adapun skor tertinggi posttest yaitu 37 dan skor tertinggi pretest yaitu 31. Uji peningkatan hasil tes diperoleh nilai rata-rata N-gain yaitu 55,28% dengan kriteria sedang. Hasil perhitungan dari uji hipotesis (uji-t) diperoleh thitung sebesar 4,04 dan ttabel pada taraf nyata α = 0,05  dan dk = 60 yaitu 1,67. Hal ini berarti bahwa nilai thitung berada diluar daerah penerimaan H0 . Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe SFAE berbantuan komik edukatif terhadap pemahaman konsep fisika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Palu.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out whether or not the influence of science process skills with the Project Based Learning model on the results of physics learning in grade XI IPA students of SMA Labschool UNTAD Palu. The problem in this study is whether there is an influence of science process skills with project based learning model on the results of students studying physics in grade XI IPA SMA Labschool UNTAD Palu. The benefit of research is to increase students' knowledge of the concepts of physics. To see the success of this study, an initial test was conducted to determine the ability of students in experimental classes and control classes. After that in the experimental class was treated using science process skills with the Project Based Learning model and the control class only used the Project Based Learning model on Business and Energy materials. After the learning is complete, both classes are again given a final test to test the results. Based on the results of both classes, the average scores from the experimental class and control classes were 6,125 and 5.70 for the initial test, while for the final test the average was 13.01, and 12.00. From the analysis of the final test data obtained ttable value of 2.01 while thitung value of 2.48. This shows that thitung value is outside the ho admission area, thus Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted in other words the learning outcomes of the group of students who get the treatment of science process skills with the Project Based Learning model against the results of physics learning in grade XI ipa sma labschool UNTAD Palu at a real level significantly different from the group of students who only use project based learning mode, then it can be concluded that there is an influence of Science Process skills with Project Based Learning Model on Student Physics Learning Results in Grade XI IPA SMA Labschool UNTAD Palu.

Abstract

Faktor utama dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran sains yaitu dituntut untuk memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan profesional dalam memilih dan menggunakan metode serta model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa dalam menyampaikan materi dengan baik, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran saintifik berbasis metode eksperimen untuk meningkatkan kualitas belajar sains pada materi energy bunyi di kelas IV SD Inpres Perumnas. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Inpres Perumnas, dari bulan Januari sampai Maret 2019. Subjek penelitian yaitu 25 siswa, yang terdiri dari 10 siswa laki-laki dan 15 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan tes. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menganalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa. Aktivitas siswa pada siklus pertama yaitu 70,45% atau cukup, dan meningkat pada siklus kedua menjadi 89,77% atau sangat baik. Aktivitas guru pada siklus pertama yaitu 70,83% atau baik, dan meningkat menjadi 91,67% atau sangat baik. Daya Serap Klasikal (DSK) siklus I yaitu 57,5% dan pada siklus kedua menjadi 77,5%. Ketuntasan Belajar Klasikal (KBK) dari siklus pertama sebesar 66% meningkat pada siklus kedua menjadi 86%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan ilmiah berdasarkan metode eksperimen dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sains di kelas IV SD Inpres Perumnas.
