Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of interactive multimedia based on video media on physics learning outcomes for students of SMP Negeri 1 Lemboraya. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method that seeks to reveal a causal relationship by involving the control group and the experimental group, taking into account the difficulty of controlling all the variables that have the variables studied. The test results on this hypothesis test obtained data analysis results show  tcount> ttable or 5,81> 1,68. This means, the value of tcount is outside the reception area H0 . Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on these data it can be concluded that there is an effect of learning outcomes between the experimental class using interactive multimedia based on video media on student learning outcomes of physics, with the control class using conventional learning models. The data from the results of this study can be concluded that student learning outcomes in the experimental class are better than the control class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' learning difficulties in solving physics problems in Newton's Law of Motion. This research used a qualitative descriptive method which was conducted on the students of class X IPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Sigi. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The data in this study were collected through observation, written essay tests and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the ability to solve physics problems on Newton's Law of Motion was classified as moderate category. Factors that affect the ability to solve problems or learning difficulties in physics, were: internal factors include students 'lack of interest in physics lessons, fatigue and students' lack of knowledge of Newton's Law of Motion material, students do not understand the questions well so they do not understand what the questions are asking , the use of formulas that are not precise and they do not check the completion and answer process. Meanwhile, external factors include family atmosphere, how to educate parents, parents' attention, social media, the applied curriculum and facilities to support the teaching and learning process in schools.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to be able to make questions that measure students' higher order thinking skills (HOTS). However, it is undeniable that there are still teachers who make questions that are not appropriate and generally do not show HOTS type questions. Therefore, how are physics questions made by teachers at private high schools in Palu City. This study aims to analyze the types of HOTS questions made by physics teachers at 1) Bloom's Taxonomy Level of questions, 2) Stimulus to questions and 3) Draw conclusions in questions. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a phenomenological type of research. The results showed that the percentage of questions made by the teacher at the bloom taxonomy level was C4 17%, C5 4% and C6 4%, the stimulus was 17% and to draw conclusions was 8%. It can be concluded that 1) at the Bloom's taxonomy level, the questions are in the very poor category, because the teacher is still adjusting to the students' abilities in making questions. 2) the stimulus indicator on the question is in the very poor category, because the teacher still has difficulty in making the stimulus contextual and novel and 3) the indicator drawing conclusions in the question is in the very poor category, the teacher assumes that the questions are difficult and require a lot of time in completing it has been included in the HOTS questions.
