Abstract

Introduction: Environmental protection is no longer negotiable, in Indonesia and internationally the destruction of the environment due to mining and deforestation has reached an alarming threshold and threatens the lives of future generations. The actions that have been taken and the existence of institutions / organizations in the field of environment are not able to make a maximum contribution to environmental protection.Purposes of the Research: The purpose of this research is to find a concept of strengthening environmental protection that is more effective and efficient and can be applied in preventing massive environmental damage both on a national and international scale and efforts to rehabilitate environmental damage that can be carried out by local communities with government support in the future, especially in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.Methods of the Research: This research is a qualitative research that examines legal policies (normative legal research) related to the environment. The data used is secondary data in the form of literature from the opinions of experts as well as the results of previous studies relevant to the topic of the problem. The collected data is grouped according to the stages and systematics of research and the flow of discussion then analyzed by providing explanations that are strengthened by theories from legal experts, especially in the environmental field. Results of the Research: Strengthening environmental protection and management in the industrial era 4.0 can be done in two ways, namely: (1) strengthening the role of the community initiated and fully supported by the government by making the community a partner in environmental management (2) Institutional strengthening in environmental protection and management, namely by making customary / community institutions as one of the main elements in policies related to the environment.

Abstract

Introduction: "Anforce the law, or the world will be destroyed" is an appropriate expression for environmental law enforcement. Many treaties have regulated the environment, mainly deforestation, and many countries have ratified these treaties. However, implementing these regulations did not necessarily stop countries from deforesting.Purposes of the Research: Furthermore, in this research, steps that could be implemented to tackle deforestation internationally were given. Methods of the Research: This research was normative juridical research that examined an international law regulation, using qualitative analysis, and using secondary data. Results of the Research: Based on international data, many countries still carried out desertification, which amounts to thousands of hectares per year. One of the reasons for the weak implementation of treaties relating to environmental protection was the absence of coercive power from international conventions over the State's sovereign authority in forest management.Weak international environmental enforcement is caused by inadequate supervision and control as well as strong authority based on state sovereignty over forest management and utilization which depends on government policies, and the system of settlement and imposition of fines that still originate from a lawsuit

Abstract

In proceedings at a religious court, someone who is litigating will experience difficulties in the proceedings. This is because the proceedings and legal rules in religious courts are complicated, so a person needs a lawyer to ask for legal assistance in proceedings at a religious court. However, the reason why a person brings an attorney in a religious court needs to be studied further to find out the reasons why litigants bring attorneys in a religious court and their role in accompanying their clients in religious courts. This research is a field research conducted at the Jember Religious Court using a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the reason someone brings attorneys to Jember Religious Court is a lack of knowledge of law, the complexity of the proceedings at the Religious court, someone who is in a case wants to get a satisfactory result, and someone who is having a case is busy with his livings and work. The role of attorneys in accompanying clients at the Jember Religious Court is to represent clients, to cause the ligitants to be present, to provide legal advice to clients, to assist with case administration, to provide legal services to clients, and to defend client interests. Keywords: attorney, religious court, litigation reason

Abstract

The 93.55-hectare Mataram Muhammadiyah University Educational Forest has been enriched with eucalyptus and gaharu plants since 2019. In 2024, further enrichment will be carried out with Durian, Avocado, Jackfruit, and Longan plants. The results of previous studies showed that the development plan for Durian plants has a marginal suitability class or S3. This study aims to determine the suitability class and area of land units for Avocado plants as an alternative choice, limiting factors and economic feasibility analysis. Land surveys using the free grid method on 9 land units and land evaluations by matching 14 parameters of land availability and land requirements for Avocado plants, namely soil conditions, climate, and land. The results of the study showed that land suitability for avocado plants was quite suitable (S2) on 3 land units covering an area of 34.15 Ha with limiting factors being texture, soil depth, Total N, Available K and Slope. The land suitability class was marginally suitable (S3) on 6 land units covering an area of 59.4 Ha with limiting factors being slope and soil depth. The investment cost for enrichment of MPTS avocado plants of 100 trees per hectare is Rp. 6,000,000 per hectare and the estimated return on capital is in the 6th year after planting

Abstract

In recent years, formation evaluation and well logging analysis have been evolving from its measurements, accuracy and applicability to determine tough downhole environments. Thin bed Reservoir is one of the most challenging well logging analysis due to the complexity of the high content of clay minerals in the shaly-sand lamination layer (thin bed) which inherently affects the log data response in the form of high gamma ray values and low resistivity. This causes the thin lamination zone is identified as a non-reservoir zone. Meanwhile, worldwide 30 to 40% of the oil in-place resources are confined within thin beds. Seeing the problem in the prediction of thin bed reservoirs, this research is focusing on Enhancing and developing thin bed potential by reevaluating petrophysical analysis, applying Laminated Shally Sand Analysis and Monte Carlo Uncertainty Probabilistic for calculating petrophysical parameter distribution and validating the parameter with Log Image. Laminated Shally Sand Analysis implements Thomas Steiber Plot in order to give laminated shale distribution and porosity, whereas the water saturation is calculated using Waxman Smith’s Equation. From this research, well SSK has thin bed potential at 2521.45 - 2543.45 ft. Laminated Shally Sand Analysis also capable to improve thickness of netpay with the range of 40.35% based on probabilistic delivered from Monte Carlo.
