Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the existing programs in the Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, and formulating a peer guidance program with a halaqah mentoring approach in helping students adjust themselves to the activities at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used was interview, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were students who had problems in adjusting to the activities at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, batch 2019/2020, totaling 6 people and Maha'd administrators. The data analysis technique used was data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study show that programs in Ma'had Al-Jami'ah are religious knowledge (taqrir mufradat, learning community worship, muhadassah, tahfizul Qur'an, taddabur Al-Qur'an, learning fahmul fiqh, reading the book Hidayatus Salikin, learning Arabic, muhadoroh, recitation of the Qur'an, majlis dzikir and calligraphy) and general science (scientific writing, learning English, sports, marawis and dance). The adjustment of mahasantri to the activities in Mahad is categorized as low in the aspect of not being able to control excessive emotions, being unable to overcome psychological mechanisms, not having rational self-judgment and direction, not having the ability to learn and not being objective and realistic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan “peran bimbingan keterampilan vokasional dalam menetapkan pilihan karir bagi siswa tunarungu di SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang”. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pembekalan keterampilan bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus, khususnya tunarungu, agar mampu hidup mandiri dan memiliki arah karir yang jelas sesuai dengan minat dan bakat mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi terhadap siswa, guru keterampilan, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan bimbingan keterampilan vokasional di SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang meliputi berbagai program seperti tata rias, tata boga, kriya kayu, menjahit, dan teknologi informasi. Bimbingan ini tidak hanya memberikan keterampilan praktis, tetapi juga membentuk sikap dan kesiapan siswa dalam menentukan pilihan karir. Faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan keterampilan ini adalah motivasi siswa, dukungan guru, serta fasilitas keterampilan yang memadai. Sementara itu, hambatan yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan komunikasi dan kurangnya informasi karir yang sesuai bagi siswa tunarungu. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa bimbingan keterampilan vokasional berperan penting dalam membantu siswa tunarungu mengenali potensi diri, menentukan pilihan karir yang sesuai, serta menumbuhkan kemandirian dalam menghadapi masa depan.

Abstract

This study is titled "The Influence of the Role-Playing Method on Improving Communication Skills of Deaf Children at SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang." The research is motivated by the critical role of communication as a fundamental skill for social interaction, whereas deaf children often face challenges in language acquisition due to hearing impairments. The objective of this study is to determine the impact of the role-playing method on enhancing the communication skills of deaf children at the specified school. This research employs a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample consists of 30 students, divided into 15 students for the experimental group and 15 students for the control group, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques included observation and communication skills tests, which were subsequently analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U non-parametric statistical test via SPSS version 26. The results indicate that the communication skills of the experimental group improved significantly, with the average score rising from 67.06 in the pretest to 87.53 in the posttest. In contrast, the control group only saw an increase from an average of 54.06 to 61.33. The Mann-Whitney U test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), leading to the conclusion that the role-playing method significantly influences the improvement of communication skills among deaf children at SLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran Career Development Center (CDC) dalam meningkatkan kesiapan kerja alumni Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi, serta manfaat programnya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, subjek meliputi Ketua dan staf CDC serta alumni. Data dikumpul melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen; dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan CDC berperan melalui informasi lowongan kerja, pelatihan soft skills, bimbingan karier, dan tracer study alumni. Namun, pelaksanaannya belum optimal akibat keterbatasan SDM, sosialisasi kurang efektif, dan partisipasi alumni rendah. Manfaat bagi alumni: pemahaman minat diri lebih baik, peluang karier meningkat, jaringan luas, dan partisipasi tinggi. Saran: tingkatkan sosialisasi, kuatkan SDM, dan sesuaikan program dengan kebutuhan kerja agar lebih efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the preaching communication strategy of Yayasan Al-Ishlahiyah and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered by Yayasan Al-Ishlahiyah in implementing the preaching communication strategy to address the problem of school dropouts. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method using interviews, observations, and documentation techniques involving parties from Yayasan Al-Ishlahiyah. The results of this study indicate that the preaching communication strategy implemented by Yayasan Al-Ishlahiyah is an approach designed in a structured, directed, and comprehensive manner to respond to the issue of school dropouts. The supporting and inhibiting factors of the preaching communication strategy applied by Yayasan Al-Ishlahiyah in Desa Gaung Asam are characterized by a systematic, persuasive, and contextual approach in addressing the problem of children dropping out of school.
