Abstract

This study was conducted at the Al Irsyad Islamic Education Foundation in Banten, an educational institution that seeks to enhance employee performance in order to remain competitive with other foundations, both at the provincial level of Banten and specifically within Serang Regency. The research focuses on analyzing the influence of compensation, competence, and the work environment on employee performance. The objective of the study is to examine, describe, and provide empirical insights regarding the effects of these three variables. A quantitative research design was applied, employing various statistical procedures, including validity and reliability tests, normality testing, multicollinearity testing, heteroscedasticity testing, multiple linear regression analysis, the coefficient of determination (R²), as well as partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) hypothesis testing. The research population comprised all employees of the Al Irsyad Islamic Education Foundation in Banten, with a total of 62 respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and supported by interviews to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of employee perceptions and working conditions. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. The findings reveal that compensation, competence, and the work environment each have a positive and statistically significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, the simultaneous test results indicate that these three variables collectively contribute significantly to improving employee performance. Based on these findings, the study recommends that the foundation consistently enhance compensation systems, employee competencies, and the quality of the work environment to achieve superior performance and more effectively attain organizational objectives.

Abstract

Background: Rendahnya pemahaman terhadap pengelolaan keuangan usaha, khususnya dalam penentuan Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP) pada produk olahan sampah menyebabkan kesulitan dalam menentukan harga jual yang tepat dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi finansial pelaku usaha olahan sampah melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan edukasi finansial berbasis partisipatif. Metode: Kegiatan edukasi ini berupa pelatihan dengan metode ceramah dan latihan yang diberikan kepada 84 responden. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 22 Juli 2025 di Aula Kelurahan Melong, Kecamatan Cimahi Selatan, Kota Cimahi. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep HPP dan nilai ekonomi sampah. Sebanyak 94% peserta memahami bahwa sampah memiliki nilai jual, 85% peserta memahami konsep HPP dan cara menghitungnya, serta 85% mampu menentukan tiga komponen utama dalam perhitungan HPP. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran finansial dan kemampuan pengelolaan biaya produksi masyarakat, sehingga usaha olahan sampah dapat dikelola secara lebih efisien, profesional, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study discusses prospective students' participation in the 2024 State Islamic Higher Education Entrance Examination (UM-PTKIN), focusing on the geographical distribution of participants from various provinces in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive statistical analysis to identify patterns and disparities in prospective student participation between regions. The results show that provinces on the island of Java, such as East Java, Central Java, and West Java, dominate the number of participants, contributing to almost half of the total UM-PTKIN 2024 participants. Outside of Java, provinces such as South Sulawesi and North Sumatra also recorded fairly high participation rates, indicating a significant contribution from regions with relatively good access to education. Conversely, participation in eastern Indonesia, such as Papua and Papua Pegunungan, remains very low, influenced by limited educational infrastructure and access to technology. To increase participation in disadvantaged regions, this study recommends improving access to educational infrastructure, developing adequate facilities, and providing academic guidance programs and special scholarships for students from areas with low participation. In addition, improving access to information and socialization regarding UM-PTKIN registration procedures is also considered important to reach prospective participants in remote areas. Challenges related to data availability were also identified, and it was recommended that participation data for the past 3-5 years be collected to enable analysis of developments and predictions of future participation. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers to improve equitable access to religious higher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Students with disabilities are a group that requires special attention in the admission process at universities, especially at State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN). Although inclusive policies have been implemented, challenges in implementation in the field are still quite significant, especially in terms of equal access and the readiness of educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of accepting students with disabilities at PTKIN through a machine learning approach to predict the factors that influence selection graduation. The research data consists of 80 prospective students with disabilities who participated in the PTKIN selection, covering variables such as gender, province of origin, previous education, school accreditation, and type of disability. The research process included data cleaning, feature engineering (including categorical encoding and recategorization of disability variables), and data balancing using the SMOTE method. Next, model training was carried out using three main algorithms, namely Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest, and XGBoost, as well as model combination (ensemble voting classifier) for performance comparison. The results show that the SVM (RBF kernel) model provides the best performance with an accuracy of 80% and an F1-score of 0.88 for the “Pass” class. This model outperforms Random Forest and XGBoost, which have an accuracy of 65% each. The most influential factors for graduation are the province of origin, disability category, and previous form of education. These findings indicate that the acceptance of students with disabilities at PTKIN is still influenced by geographical factors and educational background, so affirmative policies need to be directed at expanding access for people with disabilities from certain regions and backgrounds. The machine learning approach has proven to be effective as a tool for analyzing inclusive education policies in the PTKIN environment.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency is one of the affected districts, in terms of the economy experiencing a decline due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (Covid-19). The decline in economic growth in Banyuwangi Regency in 2020 is -0.03%. One of the sectors that can be used as a focus for improvement is UMKM. Teman Usaha Rakyat will provide assistance to the perpetrators UMKM overall. Such as improving product quality, marketing innovation, encouraging UMKM go-digital order, permit processing, certificates, good narrative writing, simple design and more. The purpose of the study is to find out whether the strategy of the Teman Usaha Rakyat program already able to raise the class UMKM in Banyuwangi and provide recommendations for program improvement by Amplification Plan Monitoring and Evaluation of mentoring activities for perpetrators UMKM upgrading in Banyuwangi. This research uses the method Research and Development (RnD). The results of the statistical test of the mean difference before and after treatment in the experimental group (perpetrators UMKM) with the help of the program SPSS 19 the mean value of the pre-assistance questionnaire was obtained = 65.66 and post-mentoring questionnaires = 82.00. This means that there is a positive and significant influence on the implementation of the Teman Usaha Rakyat program.
