Abstract

This research is aimed at improving the students’ reading comprehension at grade seven of SMP Negri 4 Praya in the academic year of 2022/2023. The teaching reading skill of seven grade students of SMP Negri 4 Praya was through language games. To achieve the objective, collaborative work involving the researcher, the English teacher, the principal, and the students of grade seven was conducted. This study was action research study consisting of two cycles. The steps of the research were: planning, action observation, and reflection. The data were obtained by observing the teaching and learning process during the implementation of the actions, interviewing the English teacher and the students of seven grade students, and holding discussions with the English teacher. The instruments for gathering the data were a recorder, a camera, and interview guidelines. The data analyses were in the forms of field notes, recordings, interview transcripts, and photographs. The result showed that in Cycle 1 the implementation of language games was successful in improving the students’ reading comprehension and their interest in reading during the teaching and learning process. However, the language games which was implemented through group work was not successful because there were some students who were not actively engaged in the group work. Therefore, the researcher improved that action by applying pair work and giving reward. Meanwhile, it was shown in Cycle II that the implementations of language games were successful in improving the students’ reading comprehension and interest in reading during the teaching learning process. From the two cycles, the implementations of language games were effective to improve students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the Wattpad application in honing the ability to write short stories for second grade students of SMAN 3 Praya. This type of research uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. The subjects of this research were students of class XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 3 Praya in the academic year 2022/2023, consisting of 13 boys and 18 girls. The researcher uses observation sheets, interview, and documentation to collect the data. The results of this research show that the Wattpad application makes it easy to train readers' imaginations and provide ideas that can be developed more broadly, Wattpad trains them to empathize, so they can pour various emotions into their stories and teach students how to write good and correct stories, so that there is a desire to be able to write for students after reading several stories contained in the Wattpad application. The conclusion from the research was the Wattpad application can help students to improve students' writing short stories because in the Wattpad application they learn to make good stories, use the right words and build emotions in a story.

Abstract

This study evaluates English for Medical Purposes (EMP) materials used in language training institutions through a needs-based approach. Using a mixed-methods design, the research gathered data from medical students, instructors, and clinical supervisors to assess the relevance and effectiveness of EMP materials. Quantitative analysis revealed that while several units (e.g., “In and Around the Hospital,” “Admissions,” and “Monitoring the Patient”) effectively reflect authentic professional communication, others lacked contextual depth and interactive tasks. Qualitative insights highlighted strengths in authentic scenarios and practical dialogues, as well as gaps in empathetic and interprofessional communication training. The findings underscore the importance of aligning EMP materials with real-world clinical needs by integrating communicative competence, cultural appropriateness, and professional authenticity. This study provides recommendations for enhancing EMP curricula to support healthcare professionals in developing the language skills essential for patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Abstract

This study aimed to estimate genetic and phenotypic variability, as well as heritability values, in 41 Cayenne pepper cultivars based on vegetative traits.  The research was conducted from May to October 2024 at the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, situated in Beringin Raya village, Bengkulu City, at an elevation of 10 m above sea level.  A Randomised Complete Block Design (RCBD) was employed with a single factor consisting of 41 cultivars with three replications, each comprising 20 plants per replication.  The results revealed a wide range of genetic variability for traits such as plant height, first dichotomous height, number of leaves, leaf area, leaf greenness, number of dichotomous points, canopy area, stem diameter, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry weight.  High phenotypic variability was observed across all evaluated traits.  High heritability was found in the trait of first dichotomous height.  Moderate heritability was observed for plant height, number of leaves, leaf greenness, number of dichotomous points, canopy area, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry weight. Low heritability was detected in leaf area, stomatal density, and stem diameter.

Abstract

Since the Jatisari Agreement on Saturday, 15 February 1755, sectoral cultural legitimacy has occurred for the Kraton Surakarta Hadiningrat, including the holding of a Javanese wedding ceremony. The holding of the wedding ceremony is supported by the master of ceremony (MC/pewara) who is usually called pranatacara. This study focuses on the speech styles of the Javanese wedding ceremony attendants in the Surakarta style. Data sources were professional MC at the Surakarta style wedding ceremony (1) who came from Surakarta, totaling 3 people, and (2) who came from Surakarta but became MC in Yogyakarta, totaling 3 people. Data taken from youtube. Data validity with source triangulation and data saturation. Data were analyzed by stages of data selection, categorization, comparison, synthesis, and interpretation (McMillan & Schumacher, 2001). The results of the study show that the Surakarta style pewara has three speech styles, namely lamba songs, lamba rinengga songs, and candra songs. The style of speech is recorded in the form of audio and video. Patented research results that can be guided by the wardens. The results of the research were disseminated to PEPARI (Indonesian Pewara Association), PPY (Yogyakarta Pranatacara Association), and HARPI (Yogyakarta Association of Bridal Makeup Experts).

Abstract

Kesehatan balita merupakan isu kritis dalam pembangunan suatu negara. Penilaian status gizi balita adalah langkah awal untuk mengidentifikasi risiko malnutrisi dan memberikan intervensi yang tepat. Dalam penelitian ini, kami mengusulkan sebuah pendekatan inovatif menggunakan teknik Machine Learning, khususnya algoritma Random Forest, untuk klasifikasi status gizi balita berdasarkan karakteristik demografis dan pola makan. Dataset yang digunakan terdiri dari informasi demografis seperti usia, jenis kelamin, berat badan, tinggi badan, dan data gizi pada setiap balita. Algoritma Random Forest dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam mengatasi overfitting, mengelola data yang tidak seimbang, dan memberikan hasil klasifikasi yang akurat. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat ditarik kesimpulan Tingkat akurasi yang dihasilkan dari algoritma random forest sebesar 83% dari 168 sampel menunjukkan bahwa model klasifikasi yang digunakan memberikan prediksi yang sempurna atau benar untuk seluruh data uji yang digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau konsep prulalis dan multikulturalisme dalam konteks pendidikan agama Islam. pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur (library research) untuk meninjau konsep pluralisme dan multikulturalisme dalam pendidikan agama Islam. Studi literatur ini melibatkan pengumpulan dan analisis data dari berbagai sumber tertulis yang relevan, termasuk buku, artikel ilmiah, jurnal, dan dokumen lain yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian. Hasil dari literatur review menghasilkan temuan terkait konsep pluralis dan multikultural dalam Pendidikan Islam meliputi guru,materi, metode, strategi, media dan evaluasi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI).

Abstract

Children's character education in the modern era faces increasingly complex challenges, especially with the development of technology and changes in social values. Many current approaches to character education tend to be secular and lack attention to the spiritual values that are essential in shaping a child's personality. The monotheistic paradigm, which emphasizes the oneness of Allah as the foundation of life, has the potential to fill this void by offering a holistic approach to building a strong character and integrity. Although many studies have discussed character education, there is still a lack of research that specifically integrates the monotheistic paradigm into children's character education curriculum, especially in modern contexts influenced by technology and rapid social change. This problem is the focus of research to identify how monotheistic values can be applied practically in character education. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with educators, parents, and students, as well as field observations at educational institutions that integrate Islamic values in learning. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify the most effective elements of monotheism in shaping children's personalities. This study found that the development of a monotheism-based child's personality can increase integrity, empathy, honesty, and a sense of responsibility. This paradigmatic personality balances the aspects of faith and social responsibility so that individuals who prioritize justice, trust, and devotion to Allah, become rahmatan lil 'alamin with the role of caliph and servant of Allah. The development of a monotheism-based personality is implemented through 1) habituation of moral character, 2) understanding of human nature as 'Abd Allah, 3) strengthening the attitude of tawakal and effort and 4) implementation of the values of justice and equality in educating children. The challenges of the implementation of Tawhid in the Modern Era include the influence of technology and social media, which have the potential to distance children from the values of monotheism and the influence of the social environment, especially in an environment that does not support religious values

Abstract

Pada perkembangan teknologi dan informasi di era 4.0 saat ini semakin pesat. Kemajuan teknologi ini juga berlaku untuk banyak industri, perusahaan, sekolah, kantor, supermarket, dll. Salah satu perkembangan teknologi dan informasi ini adalah internet of things. Karyawan melakukan absensi masih dengan cara tanda tangan pada buku absensi dan admin merekap gaji karyawan masih menggunakan buku. Pada skripsi ini peneliti membuat sistem absensi yang langsung memotong gaji karyawan bila telat datang yang terhubung dengan sistem internet of things, serta melihat data absen dan gaji agar terciptanya kemudahan admin dalam merekap laporan akhir bulan. Menggunakan kemampuan mikrokontroler arduino Wemos D1 R2 sebagai otak pemprosesan program dan Fingerprint untuk membaca data kehadiran selain itu juga pada penelitian ini memanfaatkan interface website untuk memberikan informasi kehadiran pada karyawan untuk pemotongan gaji karyawan disaat telat datang. Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam sistem akademik menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi, dan kemampuan untuk memperbaharui informasi di berbagai tingkatan pendidikan. Sistem informasi akademik membantu lembaga pendidikan dalam mengelola informasi terbaru dan data terbaru tentang sekolah, baik untuk guru maupun siswa. Namun, masih ada sekolah, seperti Sekolah Dasar Negeri Neglasari 2, yang belum menggunakan teknologi tersebut secara maksimal. Sekolah ini hanya memiliki web nilai dan masih mengandalkan pengolahan data absensi, daftar guru, daftar siswa, dan jadwal menggunakan media kertas atau aplikasi Microsoft Word/Excel, yang menyulitkan proses akses dan pengelolaan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi akademik berbasis web menggunakan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Neglasari 2, Tangerang. Sistem ini memfasilitasi pengelolaan data siswa, guru, absensi, nilai, jadwal, dan laporan dengan lebih efisien dan cepat. Diharapkan implementasi sistem ini akan meningkatkan kualitas dan efektivitas belajar mengajar serta memberikan pelayanan yang fleksibel bagi pengguna. Pengujian sistem yang di lakukan terdiri dari black box, automatic testing menggunakan katalon studio, dan System Usability Scale. Penelitian menghasilkan aplikasi yang layak dan efisien, karena dengan uji kriteria tampilan yang di dapat yaitu 2820, dan nilai rata-ratanya adalah 70,5. Jika mengacu pada skala sus, maka nilai      tersebut masuk ke dalam kriteria (Bagus) dengan grade (B).  Dan kriteria fungsional yang di dapat yaitu 2885, dan nilai rata-ratanya adalah 72,125. Jika mengacu pada skala sus, maka nilai     tersebut masuk ke dalam kriteria (Bagus) dengan grade (B).
