The result of the calculation and the data analysis of the need of thenoonnursing man power is noted that the corelation between the dependence of patient and the need of the nursing man power is significant. Meanwhile, the correlation number is positive (0,474), means the more patients, the more the nursing man power needed. The result of the data research is that the night nursing man power, the corelation of the dependence of the patients and the need of the nursing man power is significant, while the corelation is positive (0,285), the more patients, the more nursing man power needed. The conclucion is that there is a corelation between the dependence of the patients and the need of the nursing man power. The strongest relation ship is the need of the shift of the nursing man power with the corelation number of 0,574.

Abstract

The increasing of prevalence of diabetes mellitus sickness in Indonesia reached five million in 1995 with the rate of increasing 230.000 annually so that in 2005 it was estimated that diabetes mellitus sickness would have reached 17 million people or 8.6% of the total of the world population (October 2005). The causes of this disease is the lack of understanding about diabetes mellitus disease. The increasing of life, diet, fatness, and the way modern of life. According to American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2003, diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic disease with hyperglycemia characteristic which takes place because of indifferent insulin sucrose, insulin work or both of them. Hyperglycemia chronic in diabetes deals with the damages for long time, malfunction, and failure of several organs of the body, especially eyes, kidney, nerves, heart, and blood vessel. Research methodology which is used here is Descriptive methodology with analysis data technique which use correlation analysis Spearman rank. From the data analysis it finds arithmetic R = 0,508 if it is consulted with R table Spearman RHO to significant degree 5% and N = 42 got table R 0,304 and significant degree 1% got from the result 0,393, so it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between knowledge of disease and the complication to diabetes mellitus patient which check their degree of glucose in the blood in Puskesmas I Gatak Sukoharjo.

Abstract

In Nursing, direct care assessment is one of the significant components of nurse performance appraisal and workload identification. The study's purpose is to compare time-motion and the need for direct nursing action between junior and senior nurses in the intensive care unit. This study was conducted for three months in an intensive care unit for 30 nurses. Six investigators observed each nursing direct care action applied by the 34 nurses. Data were collected using the daily log form, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistic was independent t test. 35 types of natural care nursing were observed from 30 nurses listed in a nursing daily log. The longest mean time is personal hygiene, with an average time of 14.33 minutes. The shortest average time is respiratory therapy using a nebulizer with a mean of 1.43 minutes. The minimum nursing hours per patient day is 365 minutes (6.08 hours), and the maximum time is 542 minutes (9.03 hours) per day. Direct care means the score is 495 minutes (7.82 hours per day). This study found no significant differences in spending times between senior and junior nurses with t = 0.038, p = 0.970. This study found that the direct nursing action in the intensive care unit is related to nurse workload; this requires the same time for each type of nursing action.

Abstract

Kegiatan pencegahan lain belum dilaksanakan seperti upaya pengendalian merokok, perubahan pola hidup sehat melalui pemenuhan zat gizi, aktivitas, manajemen stres.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV 2). The most common manifestations of COVID-19 include fever > 37.5˚C, cough, flu, anosmia, and respiratory distress—the virus cause Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), which quickly turns into respiratory failure. Therefore COVID-19 patients with ARDS require intensive care in a hospital with oxygen support. One type of oxygen therapy used to treat COVID-19 with ARDS is a High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) administration. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of HFNC therapy in COVID-19 patients with ARDS. This study used a literature review research design. Sources of literature were carried out on Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed, and Sage Journal, with the final results obtained from eight reviewed articles. The results of the eight articles stated that using HFNC positively impacted the decreased need for mechanical ventilation and increased gas exchange of COVID-19 patients with ARDS.
