Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills towards Problem Based Learning learning with a bulletin-assisted Socio-Scientific Issue approach. Sampling using Purposive Sampling technique, namely class at VII A students as many as 20 students as experimental class and VII C as many as 18 students as control class which was carried out at MTs. Masyhudiyah, Gresik. The research method used is quasi experimental design in the form of nonequivalent control group design. The data analysis technique using the Mann Whitney test is 0.002 less than 0.05 which means there is a difference in students' critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class. Increasing students' critical thinking skills was carried out using the N-Gain test, which was 0.68 in the experimental class and 0.41 in the control class, which means that students' critical thinking skills using Problem Based Learning with a bulletin-assisted Socio-Scientific Issue approach in the experimental class were better than conventional learning in the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material. This research uses a descriptive quantitative research design. The research was carried out at SMP ARRAUDHAH Sebaneh Bangkalan with a population of all VIII grade students on environmental pollution. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that 1. Students' critical thinking skills are said to be in the high category (at least when compared to the other 2 categories, namely only 7 students out of 60 students or 11%. Most critical thinking abilities are in the medium category (34 equal or less than X less than 67), namely 40 students out of 60 students or 70%. Students who have a low critical thinking ability category (67 equal or less than X less than 100) are 13 students out of 60 students or 19%. critical students of 42 which are in the low category. While the results of the assessment of each indicator in this study, namely indicator 1 providing a simple explanation obtained as much as 40%, indicator 2 building basic skills obtained as much as 65%, indicator 3 concluding obtained as much as 60%, indicator 4 making further explanation as much as 45%, and indicator 5 formulates a strategy of 39%.

Abstract

This aims of  this research to know the effect of the STEAM approach POE learning model on students critical thinking skills. The material used in this research is the excreting system in humans. This research is a type of quantitative research using experimental methods. The POE learning model consist of 3 stages, namely predicting, observing and explaning. The approach taken in the learning uses STEAM which includes knowledge, technology, methods, art, and mathematics. The research population is class VIII MTs Al Karimi 1 Gresik for the academic year 2021/2022. The research population sample was class VIII A as the axperimental class and VIII B as the control class. The research instrument that was validated got a value of more than 0.75 with a very valid category. Student responses to the POE learning model with the STEAM approach obtained an average percentage of 91.84% which was categorized as very good. The result ahowed that the pre test score was 61.63 in the experimental class and 61.67 in the control class. Meanwhile, at the post test the experimental class scored 86.58 and the control class 7633. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using the STEAM approach to the POE learning model on student’s critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Lingkungan merupakan tempat penting yang dibutuhkan oleh setiap makhluk hidup, manusia sering melakukan berbagai aktivitas yang biasanya dapat memiliki dampak bagi lingkungan tempat manusia hidup. Hilangnya lahan hijau merupakan salah salah satu masalah dari kerusakan lingkungan. Kesadaran masyarakat akan kepedulian lingkungan semakin menurun, berdasarkan hasil observasi masyarakat Telang, Kamal didapatkan informasi bahwasannya terdapat tempat pembuangan sampah sementara yang masih tidak tertata dengan baik, dan sedikitnya lahan hijau terbuka pada akses jalan di daerah Telang. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui pemahaman masyarakat Telang, Kamal terhadap kesadaran akan kepedulian lingkungan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis secara deskriptif.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada pada Desa Telang, Kecamatan Kamal, Kabupaten Bangkalan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat yang tinggal di Desa Telang. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 49 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa angket. Pengambilan sampel untuk instrumen angket ini menggunakan teknik random sampling. Untuk instrument angket berisikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan tentang pemahaman masyarakat Telang, Kamal terhadap kesadaran akan kepedulian lingkungan dengan menggunakan skala Guttman dengan pilihan jawaban ya atau tidak. Selanjutnya data hasil angket akan diolah dengan menggunakan program SPSS 24 untuk dilakukan uji univariat untuk diketahui persentase tingkat pemahaman masyarakat akan kepeduliannya terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan komik IPA materi ekosistem. Model pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Kamal, Bangkalan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling sebanyak 30 siswa kelas VII. Komik diuji cobakan secara offline (luring). Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi. Dari hasil perolehan, perhitungan, dan analisis data, untuk validitas media mendapatkan skor rata-rata 92,36% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan pada validitas materi mendapat skor rata-rata sebesar 93,84% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Berdasarkan perolehan hasil tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa media IPA yang dikembangkan dikatakan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah

Abstract

Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development (RD). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk dan peningkatan literasi sains peserta didik terhadap media e-Magazine Eco Explorer dengan pendekatan kontekstual pada materi Ekologi dan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia di sub-bab "Bagaimana Pengaruh Manusia Terhadap Ekosistem". Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 1 Bangkalan pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Sampel yang digunakan adalah peserta didik kelas VII dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kelayakan produk berdasarkan aspek media dan materi. Bagian media dan materi masing-masing mendapatkan skor rata-rata 95% dan 86,53% yang masuk dalam kategori sangat sesuai. Pengembangan media e-Magazine Eco Explorer mampu memberikan peningkatan literasi ilmiah peserta didik dengan hasil N-Gain sebesar 0,56 dalam kategori Sedang. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media e-Majalah Eco Explorer dengan pendekatan kontekstual meningkatkan literasi ilmiah peserta didik pada materi Ekologi dan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia di sub-bab "Bagaimana Pengaruh Manusia Terhadap Ekosistem"

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of argumentation skills of the students of SMPN 24 Gresik in Dungus Village, Cerme District, Gresik Regency on environmental material. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population in this study were all students for the 2021/2022 academic year. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The research sample used was 32 students. Data was collected using a 10-point essay test, in which each number contained three assessment indicators, namely, evidence and scientific reasons. The results of the research are: 1) The argumentation ability of students on environmental material in class VII is overall good with an average percentage of 81.2%. 2) Identification of the ability to argue students in each aspect of the indicator can be seen that the ability of students to claim is quite good, namely with a value of 89%, in the aspect of the ability to give good answers, namely with a percentage of 78%, while in the aspect of the ability to make scientific reasons it is classified as good with a value percentage 76%

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis animasi simulasi molekul pada topik campuran dan pemisahan camuran, serta untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluate). Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Krian. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunkan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas VII A sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, validasi, angket respon siswa dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi berbasis animasi simulasi molekul sangat layak digunakan karena (1) validitas media yang dihasilkan sebesar 93,89% dan reliabilias sebesar 94%, (2) validitas materi sebesar 91,83% dan reliabilitas sebesar 98,47%, (3) validitas angket respon siswa yang dihasilkan sebesar 95,89% dan reliabilitas sebesar 97%, (4) dan respon siswa setelah menggunakan aplikasi berbasis animasi simulasi molekul sebesar 90,02% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yakni pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa aplikasi berbasis animasi simulasi molekul sangat layak digunakan dan mampu menarik perhatian siswa. Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, animasi simulasi molekul, kelayakan, respon siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the description of students' learning styles and the percentage of student errors in relation to learning styles at SMP Negeri 3 Bangkalan on the subject of Vibrations, Waves, and Sound. This research uses a quantitative method. The population of the study consists of all students in class VIII in the academic year 2022/2023. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling, specifically purposive sampling. The research sample consists of 22 students. Data is collected using a learning style questionnaire and problem-solving questions related to Vibrations, Waves, and Sound. The results of the research show that: 1) The students' learning styles are categorized as visual for 9 students, auditory for 7 students, and kinesthetic for 6 students. 2) Students with a visual learning style make the most errors in their final answer, accounting for 26.43% of the errors. Students with an auditory learning style make more errors in the process and final answer, accounting for 22.83% of the errors. Students with a kinesthetic learning style make more errors in the final answer, accounting for 21.47% of the errors

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil scientific writing skills dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan metode mind mapping. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Experiment. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Menegah Pertama Negeri di Jawa Timur dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sampel dipilih berdasarkan rekomendasi dari guru IPA dengan mempertimbangkan hasil ujian peserta didik. Scientific writing skills ditulis dalam bentuk essay yang terdiri dari 4 indikator. Hasil Scientific Writing Skills kelas VII E yakni 86,05 dengan kriteria sangat baik.
