Abstract

Teacher career development programmes are an important strategy for improving teaching competence and education quality. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of teacher career development programmes in improving teaching competence through a literature review of various relevant studies. Data were obtained from scientific articles discussing the impact of teacher training, Teacher Working Group (KKG) activities, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) policies, and various other teacher professional development strategies. The results of the study show that teacher career development programmes contribute positively to improving professional and pedagogical competence, teacher motivation, and the quality of the learning process in the classroom. However, a number of studies also reveal obstacles in their implementation, including suboptimal needs analysis, the incompatibility of training materials with learning practice needs, and limited continuous evaluation of the programme's impact. These findings emphasise that the success of teacher career development is largely determined by comprehensive programme planning, institutional support from schools, and the continuity of mentoring after training.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of peer group interaction and economic literacy on the hedonistic lifestyle of students at Universitas Negeri Makassar. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. The population consisted of all students at Universitas Negeri Makassar, with a sample of 83 students selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that peer group interaction has a positive and significant effect on students’ hedonistic lifestyle, while economic literacy has a negative and significant effect. Simultaneously, peer group interaction and economic literacy significantly influence the hedonistic lifestyle of students. These findings suggest that peer influence plays a role as an external driving factor, whereas economic literacy functions as an internal controlling factor in shaping students’ consumption behavior. Therefore, strengthening economic literacy is essential to reduce the tendency toward hedonistic lifestyles among university students.

Abstract

The penetration of digital technology over the past two decades has transformed patterns of public consumption, including in Biak Numfor Regency. This study aims to critically examine how exposure to fast fashion advertising on digital platforms reproduces the mechanisms of the culture industry and instrumental rationality as conceptualized by Max Horkheimer, and how these processes shape public consciousness, preferences, and consumption practices. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants and observations of social media usage patterns. The findings indicate that Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and TikTok Shop serve as the primary channels for the dissemination of fast fashion advertisements. The high frequency of advertisement exposure, particularly following search or purchase activities, demonstrates the operation of algorithmic personalization as a manifestation of instrumental rationality within digital capitalism. From a Critical Theory perspective, this condition represents the transformation of the culture industry into the digital sphere, where platforms not only market products but also construct false needs and normalize rapid consumption as part of a modern lifestyle. The study further reveals that exposure to fast fashion advertising contributes to the commodification of identity and the reproduction of consumerist values, gradually shifting the community’s collective orientation toward individualistic and symbolic logic. Clothing is no longer understood merely as a functional necessity but as a means of social legitimation mediated by platform capitalism. These findings affirm the subtle operation of ideological domination through digital media and underscore the importance of strengthening critical literacy in responding to the expansion of global consumer culture.

Abstract

Dalam konteks masyarakat Desa Adat Legian, pengetahuan adat tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai warisan budaya, tetapi juga sebagai dasar dalam menentukan nilai, norma, dan kebenaran sosial yang mengatur kehidupan kolektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengetahuan adat berfungsi sebagai sistem epistemologis dalam membentuk orientasi pendidikan generasi muda di Desa Adat Legian. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan dominan dalam studi Sosiologi Pendidikan yang menempatkan pendidikan formal sebagai pusat produksi pengetahuan, sementara sistem pengetahuan lokal sering diposisikan sebagai pelengkap. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain etnografi untuk memahami secara mendalam praktik sosial, nilai budaya, serta proses internalisasi pengetahuan adat dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan adat tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai warisan budaya, tetapi sebagai epistemologi kebenaran sosial yang menentukan legitimasi nilai dan norma dalam masyarakat. Struktur kelembagaan adat memiliki otoritas simbolik dalam memproduksi dan mereproduksi pengetahuan melalui mekanisme sosial yang dilegitimasi secara kolektif. Selain itu, proses internalisasi nilai budaya melalui praktik sosial yang berulang membentuk habitus generasi muda, yang memengaruhi cara mereka memaknai pendidikan formal. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa orientasi pendidikan generasi muda tidak hanya ditentukan oleh sistem pendidikan formal, tetapi juga oleh interaksi antara struktur adat dan disposisi habitus yang terbentuk secara kultural. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperluas kajian pendidikan dengan menempatkan pengetahuan adat sebagai epistemologi budaya yang berperan signifikan dalam membentuk orientasi pendidikan dalam masyarakat adat.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS hingga saat ini masih menjadi persoalan kesehatan global yang kompleks dan multidimensional, termasuk HIV di kawasan wisata merupakan fenomena sosial kompleks yang melibatkan interaksi antara individu, ruang sosial, struktur kebijakan, dan budaya.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model integrasi taksonomi sosial HIV dengan struktur tata kelola kesehatan di kawasan wisata, dengan fokus pada Bali sebagai destinasi pariwisata internasional. Perubahan pola penularan HIV menunjukkan adanya pergeseran signifikan dari lokalisasi menuju ruang privat seperti hotel dan vila, yang diperkuat oleh perkembangan teknologi digital melalui aplikasi kencan dan media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus untuk memahami dinamika sosial yang kompleks dalam konteks pariwisata. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap pekerja hotel, tenaga kesehatan, dan pemangku kebijakan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penularan HIV di kawasan wisata tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh perilaku individu, tetapi juga oleh struktur ruang sosial, mobilitas wisatawan, serta lemahnya tata kelola kesehatan di sektor pariwisata. Ruang privat seperti hotel berfungsi sebagai arena sosial yang memfasilitasi interaksi seksual berisiko, sementara digitalisasi memperluas jaringan sosial seksual secara transnasional. Selain itu, stigma dan diskriminasi terhadap Orang dengan HIV (ODHIV) masih tinggi akibat konstruksi sosial dan kekhawatiran terhadap citra pariwisata. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model integratif yang menggabungkan dimensi individu, ruang sosial, struktur, dan budaya dalam memahami dinamika HIV. Model ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan multisektor dan berbasis konteks dalam pengendalian HIV di kawasan wisata.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges and opportunities in managing inclusive education in the digital era within inclusive primary schools in Makassar City, focusing on three key dimensions: policy, human resources, and educational infrastructure. Inclusive education, as a strategic effort to ensure equitable learning opportunities for all children—including those with special needs—faces a range of implementation barriers such as the limited number of special education assistants, insufficient teacher training, and inadequate inclusive learning facilities. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, this research collected primary data through questionnaires administered to eight inclusive primary schools, with analysis conducted using descriptive statistical methods. The results indicate that while school policies have generally supported inclusive education implementation, substantial gaps remain in teacher preparedness and infrastructural accessibility. The policy dimension received the highest score, followed by human resources and facilities, showing that although institutional commitments are present, operational practices are not yet fully effective. These findings highlight that the success of inclusive education depends on the synergy between adaptive policy frameworks, professional capacity-building for teachers, and the integration of educational technology to promote accessibility and participation. The main contribution of this study lies in integrating educational management theory and inclusive education principles to propose a responsive and sustainable management model for primary schools in the digital era—offering both theoretical and practical implications for the development of inclusive education policies and practices in Indonesia.
