Abstract

Abstract

As digital technology based on the Internet of Things (IOT) develops, it should be able to increase banking access (inclusivity) for customers and attract the interest of potential customers. Banking digitalization is currently much more developed than just transaction features but also includes a savings account opening system. Bank Muamalat Indonesia is one of the sharia banks that participates in the development of digital technology by presenting a mobile banking application called MDIN or Muamalat Digital Islamic Network. Digitalization of sharia banking should provide convenience and attract the interest of potential customers, considering that the market share of sharia financial institutions in Indonesia is still low. This research aims to determine customer preferences for opening a savings account via MDIN. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The objects of research include customer preferences in using MDIN digital banking. The subjects of this research are customers who open savings accounts through MDIN. The research results show that customer preferences in using MDIN as an option for opening a savings account are based on several factors such as social factors, ease of service, benefits and personal factors. Social and personal factors are the most dominant factors in customer’ decision making to open a savings account through MDIN digital banking.

Abstract

Religious fatwas related to sharia economics and finance have great urgency and benefits for sharia economic and financial actors. The Qur'an and Hadith require detailed and analytical interpretation to explain the problems that arise, especially regarding zanni propositions. Fatwas issued by Islamic religious experts play an important role in responding to contemporary problems in accordance with social, scientific and technological developments. This research uses a normative legal approach with library research methods. This approach includes a study of the DSN-MUI Manhaj al-Ifta procedures and Manhaj al-Ifta which are the basis for determining fatwas related to sharia economic and financial issues. The DSN-MUI fatwa must comply with correct procedures and methodology (Al-Manhaj), avoid excessive (Ifrathi) and reckless (Tafrithi), and follow two main approaches: gradual (Tadriji) and voluntary (Tathawwu'i), and use a fiqh that provides solutions (Makharij Al-Fiqhiyyah). The principles of Manhaj Al-Ifta DSN-MUI include Taysir Al-Manhaj, Tafriq Al-Halal 'an Al-Haram, I'adat Al-Nazhar, and Tahqiq Al-Manath. Taysir Al-Manhaj emphasizes ease within the limits of legal rules, while Tafriq Al-Halal 'an Al-Haram separates the halal from the haram. I'adat Al-Nazhar revises the views of previous scholars which are no longer relevant, and Tahqiq Al-Manath emphasizes the analysis of the causes ('Illah) of law in a changing context. The DSN-MUI fatwa was made through Ijtihad Jama'i which involved various ulama and experts from various fields to ensure the honesty and truth of the fatwa. In this way, the DSN-MUI fatwa can meet the needs of sharia economic actors, provide solutions, and remain based on strong sharia.

Abstract

Humans, as khalifah (stewards) on Earth, have a great responsibility to lead and manage all aspects of life, whether in the family, society, or state, which will be accountable in the hereafter. This study examines the meaning of "leader" in QS. Al-Baqarah verse 30 through a comparative tafsir study between Al-Manar (Syekh Rasyid Ridha) and Al-Jawahir (Syekh Tantawi Jauhari), using Max Weber’s charismatic leadership theory. The research method employed is qualitative with a hermeneutic approach, utilizing primary data from the Qur'an and tafsir, and secondary data from books, articles, and journals. The findings show that leaders in Islam have a trust (amanah) to preserve the Earth and manage natural resources wisely. A just, trustworthy, and wise leader will safeguard the welfare of the community and the Earth. This study concludes that a leader should lead with integrity, be accountable for their actions, and prioritize the common good and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) in collecting infaq and alms at the Darussalam Grand Mosque in Palangkaraya. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The adoption of QRIS began during the COVID-19 pandemic as an effort to adapt to technological developments and to facilitate non-cash donations. The initiative was supported by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), allowing congregants to give alms more practically and securely. From an Islamic legal perspective, the use of QRIS is permissible based on the principle of al-ashlu fi al-mu’amalat al-ibahah and is reinforced by a fatwa from the National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI) concerning sharia electronic money. The digital system enhances transparency and accountability in managing alms funds. This study concludes that QRIS improves donation convenience, increases the efficiency of fund collection, and demonstrates the integration of technology in worship practices.

Abstract

Islamic da'wah plays an important role in guiding humanity towards achieving salvation in both this world and the hereafter. Since the early spread of Islam, women have been involved in da'wah through the gatherings held by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Although there has been debate over the role of women in da'wah, women are increasingly active in spreading Islamic teachings, both in public spaces and through digital media. This research analyzes hadiths related to the role of women in da'wah, using a qualitative approach based on library research. The focus of this study is to identify key themes in hadiths that support or limit the role of women, as well as how classical and contemporary scholars interpret these hadiths. Additionally, this study examines the role of women in da'wah in the contemporary era, both through social media and academic spaces, as well as the challenges faced by female preachers and analyze in terms of gender equality. In conclusion, despite differing views among scholars, women have an important role in Islamic da'wah, which remains relevant in the modern era, supported by inclusive da'wah strategies based on maqashid sharia.

Abstract

Materialistic business is an act of buying and selling. As long as it is based on applicable rules or regulations, everyone is given unlimited liberty to engage in activities which are beneficial to themselves, others and their environment. It is the goal of this research to comment on the importance of e-commerce, musmslsh and human rights within QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 275 and QS. An-Nisa [4]: 29 of Islam. This research is library research with qualitative type of study. The data is analyzed with descriptive analysis method. The results show that the use of e-commerce in transactions is acceptable in accordance with QS. An-Nisa [4]: 29 which explains that transactions are acceptable if mutually agreed between buyers and sellers. This is also in line with Adam Smith's free market theory that says that everybody has the right to freedom in selling and buying and trading.

Abstract

This research explores the historical development of slavery in Indonesia through Karl Marx’s Political Economy theory. It traces the evolution of slavery from the pre-colonial to post-colonial periods and its impact on Indonesia’s social, economic, and political structures. Using Marx’s perspective, the study reveals how slavery was shaped by capitalist economic systems that enabled exploitation, particularly during the colonial era. It emphasizes the connection between slavery and class conflict, where capital owners benefited from the labor of oppressed slaves. The study also highlights various forms of resistance against this exploitative system. By examining these historical dynamics, the research offers a deeper understanding of the roots of social and economic inequality in Indonesia. It contributes to broader discussions on social justice by showing how political-economic systems influenced oppression. Additionally, this research serves as a foundation for developing effective policies to combat modern slavery and promote social welfare. Ultimately, it stresses the importance of addressing structural inequalities to achieve justice and equality in contemporary Indonesian society.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Good Amil Governance (GAG) in zakat management at LAZ Nurul Fikri, Palangka Raya. This study focuses on six main principles: transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, fairness, and Sharia compliance. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through semi-structured interviews with key informants, direct observation, and documentation review. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that LAZ Nurul Fikri has significantly implemented GAG principles, especially in transparency and accountability, as reflected in using a digital system for financial reports, routine internal and external audits, and information disclosure to stakeholders. However, responsibility and independence remain due to limited human resources and low public awareness of zakat. Supporting factors include an efficient reporting system and high muzaki participation, while inhibiting factors are a weak collaboration network and poor zakat literacy. This research offers practical implications for zakat institutions, policymakers, and academics, emphasizing the importance of digitalization, human resource development, and strategic collaboration. Future research should conduct cross-regional comparisons and use a mixed-methods approach to strengthen the results.
