Abstract

Purpose: This study is to analyze the direct effect of the world oil price variable on the GDP variable, as well as the direct effect of world oil prices on the debt ratio, then the indirect relationship of world oil prices to GDP through the debt ratio. Methodology: The data analysis method used in the research is path analysis on the variables of world oil prices, GDP of ASEAN countries, and the ratio of foreign debt as an intervening variable. Results: The results found that the direct effect of the debt ratio on world oil prices had no effect, then the direct effect of the debt ratio on GDP had no effect, then the direct effect of WTI oil prices on GDP had no effect, and the results of the mediation dimension of WTI oil prices did not mediate the relationship between the debt ratio and GDP. Findings: The findings of the study show that macroeconomic factors, especially world oil prices and a country's debt ratio, do not affect a country's economic growth. Novelty: The gap in previous research makes novelty in the foreign debt ratio variable as a mediating dimension of the relationship between WTI oil prices and GDP.  Originality: This research discusses one of the fluctuating macroeconomic factors in its influence on the movement of a country's economy. Conclusion: Macroeconomic factors WTI world oil prices and a country's foreign debt ratio do not affect economic growth. Abstract

Koperasi Merah Putih merupakan inisiatif baru yang diharapkan dapat menjadi pilar penguatan ekonomi daerah, khususnya di Kecamatan Cibitung, Kabupaten Bekasi. Namun, sebagai koperasi yang masih tergolong baru, diperlukan penguatan tata kelola kelembagaan dan strategi percepatan agar koperasi dapat berfungsi secara optimal sesuai tujuan dan prinsipnya. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi dan pendampingan kepada perangkat pengelola Koperasi Merah Putih. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, serta simulasi pengelolaan kelembagaan koperasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman, keterampilan, dan kepercayaan diri pengelola dalam menerapkan prinsip tata kelola yang baik serta strategi percepatan pengembangan koperasi. Selain itu, peserta juga memperoleh wawasan mengenai pentingnya kelembagaan yang kuat sebagai fondasi keberlanjutan koperasi di tengah masyarakat.

Abstract

Era digitalisasi pengelolaan keuangan dan Fintech sangat perlu diaplikasikan oleh UMKM, kemudahan transaksi dan pengelolaan keuangan yang tepat dapat mempengaruhi kinerja usaha serta keuangan yang sehat. Kususnya UMKM yang menjadi salah at kontribusi besar bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam negeri. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman pentingnya mengelola keuangan usaha dengan baik dan benar, serta dapat memanfaatkan fungsi dari perkembangan fintech untuk kemudahan dalam transaksi usaha sehingga dalam traksaksi usaha kususnya menjadi efesiensi. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Aula Desa Sirnajaya, Kecamatan Serang Baru, Kabupaten Bekasi dengan peserta merupakan macam-macam UMKM local dengan metode pelaksanaan sosialosasi, praktek, dan pengarahan secara langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan sosialisasi menghasilkan kontribusi secara praktis bagi pelaku UMKM dari awalnya rata-rata tidak melakukan manajemen keuangan dalam proses keuangan dari hasil usaha, menjadi lebih edukasi akan pentingnya mengatur keuangan usaha dengan lebih cermat, fungsinya bisa meminimalkan risiko keuangan yang tidak terarah dan cash flow yang lebih sehat. Kemudian selanjutnya terkait penggunaan fintech dalam usaha rata-rata belum memakai teknologi keuangan, contohnya dalam pembayaran transaksi QRIS, setelah disosialisasi dengan studi kasus dan fakta dilapangan bahwa kemudahan traksaksi dengan Fintech dapat meningkatkan penjualan dengan lebih signifikan dalam kinerja UMKM, pengelolaan keuangan yang baik dan penggunaan fintech meningkatkan kinerja usaha.

Abstract

Gen Z, as the demographic bonus generation, certainly has an important role to play. The number of independent women today can rival the number of male workers, making women a benchmark for economic growth. From this phenomenon, Gen Z women in Indonesia's journey towards a golden Indonesia in 2045 must understand and use insurance products for long-term protection. Based on this background, this study aims to examine several aspects: first, the direct role of financial literacy on insurance literacy; second, the direct Influence of financial literacy on Education level; third, the direct impact of Education level on insurance literacy; and fourth, the mediating role of Education level in the indirect relationship between financial literacy and insurance literacy. The research method employs a quantitative causal approach, with a sample of Gen Z women in Bekasi Regency using purposive sampling with 100 respondents. Data analysis techniques utilize SEM PLS (Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares) with the SmartPLS statistical tool. The results of the study found that financial literacy and Education level directly and significantly Influence insurance literacy. In contrast, financial literacy directly and significantly influences Education level, and Education level mediates the relationship between financial literacy and insurance literacy

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direct role of financial literacy and education level on financial technology, secondly to analyze the direct influence of financial literacy and education level on self-efficacy, thirdly to analyze the direct influence of self-efficacy on financial technology, and fourthly to analyze the indirect influence of financial literacy and education level on financial technology through the mediation of self-efficacy. The sample was 100 Generation Z individuals in Bekasi Regency, selected using purposive sampling. The data analysis method in this study was associative causality through a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used is SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares) on financial literacy, education level, financial technology, and self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The study results show that financial literacy does not affect financial technology. However, financial literacy has a significant effect on self-efficacy. Education level does not affect financial technology, but education level significantly affects self-efficacy. Self-efficacy mediates educational level and financial technology. The practical implications of this study related to financial literacy and education are that they increase Gen Z's self-efficacy in using financial technology (fintech), which affects their ability to manage finances effectively, avoid financial problems, and access appropriate financial products.

Abstract

Purpose — The objective of this study is to examine the factors that impact the value of a company over both the short and long term. These factors include variables such as the company's size, the reputation of the underwriter and auditor, the industry sector in which it operates, and the number of shares outstanding during the initial public offering (IPO).Method — In this study, a quantitative causality approach with analytical properties is employed as the method of analysis. The population under investigation consists of companies that conducted initial public offerings (IPOs) between the years 2020 and 2022. A sample size of 113 companies is selected using a specific sampling approach for research purposes. To analyze the data, a binary logistic regression model is applied, along with the use of statistical tools.Result — The conducted research has yielded several findings. Firstly, it indicates that the variable of company size does not have a significant impact. Secondly, the variable of underwriter reputation also does not have a significant effect. Thirdly, the variable of auditor reputation does not significantly influence firm value. Fourthly, the stock variable does not significantly affect firm value. Lastly, the research highlights that the industry sector variable has a significant impact on firm value.Contribution — The research is expected to contribute to the academic field and benefit capital market players by addressing the factors that should be considered when making investment decisions in the capital market.

Abstract

Purpose — The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Russian Stock Exchange (IMOEX) on world oil prices (WTI), with the US Dollar variable serving as a mediating factor in the exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Russian currency (Ruble).Method — The research employs an associative causality research approach for data analysis. Path analysis techniques are utilized to examine the nexus between Russian Stock Exchange (IMOEX) and world oil prices with the US dollar serves as intervening variables. The study relies on secondary data collected on a weekly basis over a two-year period, specifically from 2021 to 2022. A total of 96 sample data points were gathered from various sources, including the internet, papers, books, and other references that support the research.Result — The findings indicate a significant positive impact of the Russian Stock Exchange (IMOEX) on the US Dollar/Rubles exchange rate. However, the US Dollar variable does not have a direct effect on world oil prices. Additionally, the Russian Stock Exchange (IMOEX), when mediated by the US Dollar, does not show any significant impact on the world oil price of WTI.Novelty  — To the best of our knowledge, no studies were identified that employed the US Dollar as a mediating variable in the Ruble/USD exchange rate. This study introduces a novel aspect by incorporating this mediating variable into the analysis.

Abstract

Purpose — The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of global stock exchanges indices—the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) index, and the Nikkei 225 (N225) index—and macroeconomic variables (exchange rate and inflation) on the movement of the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI).Method — The data analysis method used in this study is quantitative causality with the GARCH model technique. The samples include the JCI, global stock exchanges (DJIA, SSE, N225) indices, and macroeconomic variables (exchange rate, inflation) based on monthly secondary data from 2017 to 2022, encompassing 72 months of observation.Result — The results showed that the global stock market variables of the DJIA and the SSE indices had a significant positive effect, while the N225 index had a significant effect on the JCI. Regarding macroeconomic variables, the exchange rate had a significant negative effect, whereas inflation did not affect the JCI.Novelty  — The novelty of this research, compared to previous studies, lies in the more recent research period, which spans from 2017 to 2022, and the inclusion of inflation variables, which have not been explored in prior studies.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas perangkat Koperasi Merah Putih di tingkat kelurahan, khususnya di Desa Randumulya, Kabupaten Karawang. Tujuan utama kegiatan adalah memperkuat pemahaman mengenai prinsip dan nilai koperasi, serta meningkatkan keterampilan dalam pengelolaan organisasi, keuangan, dan pengembangan usaha koperasi. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra meliputi rendahnya literasi koperasi, lemahnya tata kelola organisasi, serta keterbatasan pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam operasional koperasi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan mitra secara aktif melalui tiga tahapan utama, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahap persiapan dilakukan melalui survei dan identifikasi kebutuhan mitra. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi kegiatan sosialisasi, dan diskusi kelompok terarah. Selain itu, diperkenalkan pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan transparansi pengelolaan koperasi. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur keberhasilan kegiatan serta memastikan keberlanjutan program. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi dan pelatihan yang terstruktur mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan perangkat koperasi, sehingga berpotensi mendorong pengelolaan koperasi yang lebih profesional, transparan, dan berkelanjutan dalam mendukung perekonomian masyarakat lokal.
