Abstract

Early marriage, a practice that has been embedded in traditions for generations, has unpredictable and serious repercussions, especially in terms of health-related problems, such as pregnancy complications and stunted child growth. The purpose of this community service is to increase adolescent knowledge about early marriage and the risk of stunting. The results showed that counseling interventions were effective in increasing public knowledge about the dangers of early marriage and stunting. The proportion of individuals with good knowledge increased significantly after the extension program. These findings are consistent with previous research highlighting the effectiveness of education in changing behaviors related to early marriage and stunting. Conclusion, extension interventions have been shown to be effective in increasing knowledge about the dangers of early marriage and stunting. Abstract

Adolescent reproductive health issues are a serious global concern. Research findings show a significant increase in community service participants' knowledge after the intervention, indicating the positive impact of the program on their understanding of reproductive health. The improvement in knowledge may be attributed to effective educational methods employed during the intervention. Participant involvement in activities also played a crucial role in enhancing their understanding. However, it is essential to recognize that knowledge alone is insufficient to change behavior. Therefore, future interventions should focus on integrating components such as attitude change, social norms, and family/community involvement to achieve broader and sustainable impacts on adolescent reproductive health.

Abstract

Free sex behavior among adolescents is a global issue that requires serious attention in efforts to prevent sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and unwanted pregnancies . The results of the study on the effectiveness of interventions in increasing the knowledge of abdimas participants about the topics discussed. Results showed a significant increase from 38.2% to 88.2% in the number of abdimas participants who had good knowledge after the intervention. Some of the factors contributing to this increase include interactive and structured outreach methods, as well as participant involvement in intervention activities. Social interaction and exchange of experiences are also considered to play an important role in enriching participants' understanding. Although knowledge is the first step, behavior change requires consideration of other factors such as attitudes, social norms, and the environment. The integration of these components in intervention programs can amplify the positive effects of increased knowledge.
