Abstract

Character education and introduction to dance is one of the beginnings of planting and forming the character of students through character building training. Character values should need to be taught to students as successors to the nation's generation. However in the current era, students do not understand the values of character and even behave incorrectly in the environment. Providing character education coaching can be associated with linking the provision of training for students which can lead to the introduction of the nation's culture. This training aims to improve the character of students through dance training that can introduce dance culture at the same time so that students can provide knowledge of the nation's culture discussion methods and demonstration methods. The results of this service are that improving the character education of students who are delivered other than the delivery of material related to character and some examples of the application of good character values.

Abstract

Salah satu gangguan di dalam masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak yaitu Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Anak dengan gangguan ADHD menunjukan sikap dan  perilaku sosial yang kurang memadai dan disertai dengan gangguan sosial serta masalah di dalam hubungan timbal balik dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Metode yang digunakan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengkaji kemampuan kognitif akademik dan perilaku interaksi social anak A yang mengalami gangguan ADHD. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku social dan kemampuan kognitif akademik pada anak yang mengalami Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kemampuan akademik yang dialami siswa A baik dan mampu menerima pembelajaran dikelas, (2) interaksi social kurang bisa bersosialisasi dengan lingkungan disekitarnya. Permasalahan yang ada lebih pada ke perilaku yang dialami oleh anak A, yang mengalami kesulitan untuk bersosialisasi dengan rekan-rekan yang ada di sekolah. Untuk itu diharapkan adanya Kerjasama yang baik orang tua dan guru sebagai pendidik di sekolah, agar mampu membimbing dan juga mengarahkan anak dengan gangguan ADHD mampu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif nya melalui prestasi akademik dan juga mampu mengontrol perilaku sosialnya.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving students' literacy skills through a 15-minute literacy program. This approach is based on grouping students according to their ability levels, allowing teaching strategies to be tailored to students' needs. The method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Students are grouped based on their reading abilities: beginner, letters, words, paragraphs, and stories. The instruments used in this study are initial diagnostic and developmental tests conducted orally at the beginning and during the research process. These tests measure the overall development of students' reading skills over time. Data analysis is conducted to evaluate students' engagement and their responses to short but intensive literacy activities. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' literacy skills at all reading ability levels, both in comprehension and reading fluency. This improvement suggests that the TaRL approach can effectively enhance elementary school literacy skills. This research is expected to significantly contribute to developing more effective literacy strategies in elementary schools to optimize short yet effective learning time.

Abstract

Social Studies (IPS) learning in Elementary Schools plays an important role in shaping the character and social awareness of students from an early age. This study aims to review the literature on the effectiveness of the environment-based learning approach in increasing the social awareness of elementary school students. The study was conducted by reviewing various relevant previous research results, both from accredited national journals and other scientific sources in the last five years. The results of the literature study show that environment-based learning is able to link IPS concepts with the realities of students' lives around them, thereby fostering social awareness, responsibility, and understanding of local social problems. Activities such as environmental observations, field studies, and community-based collaborative projects have proven effective in strengthening students' active involvement in learning. In addition, teachers who are able to utilize the potential of the environment as a learning resource can create a more contextual and meaningful learning experience. Thus, this approach can be used as an alternative strategy in IPS learning to increase students' social awareness. This article recommends the need for training for teachers in designing and implementing environment-based learning systematically and sustainably.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara minat baca dan prestasi akademik siswa sekolah dasar. Minat baca yang rendah di kalangan siswa dapat berdampak negatif pada pemahaman materi pelajaran serta hasil belajar mereka. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat baca dan bagaimana hal tersebut berhubungan dengan prestasi akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur yang meliputi analisis berbagai penelitian terdahulu yang membahas pengaruh minat baca terhadap prestasi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan minat baca yang tinggi cenderung memiliki prestasi akademik yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan mereka yang memiliki minat baca rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kemampuan siswa untuk memahami materi lebih baik melalui kebiasaan membaca yang sering dilakukan. Selain itu, faktor-faktor seperti lingkungan keluarga yang mendukung, dukungan guru yang aktif dalam mengarahkan siswa untuk membaca, serta akses terhadap bahan bacaan yang berkualitas juga turut berkontribusi signifikan terhadap minat baca siswa. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan budaya membaca di sekolah melalui berbagai program dan kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Dengan adanya upaya tersebut, diharapkan prestasi akademik siswa dapat meningkat, sehingga mereka dapat mencapai potensi terbaik dalam belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of schools in developing the cognitive abilities of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at SKH Negeri 01 Kota Serang. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving one ADHD student in Grade I, a classroom teacher, a special assistant teacher, and parents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that schools play a crucial role in supporting the cognitive development of ADHD students through strategies such as seating arrangements to minimize distractions, short and repeated instructions, the use of visual learning media, scheduled breaks, and positive reinforcement in the form of praise and simple rewards. Hands-on activities and educational games were more effective in helping students understand the material. However, challenges remain in sustaining long-term concentration and managing impulsive behavior. In conclusion, the school’s role is vital in fostering the cognitive development of ADHD students, supported by collaboration with special assistant teachers and parents.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the reading difficulties experienced by fourth-grade students with intellectual disabilities at SKH Negeri 01 Kota Serang using a descriptive qualitative method. The research data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with the research subjects consisting of teachers, fourth-grade students with intellectual disabilities, and parents. The findings show that students with intellectual disabilities still face difficulties in recognizing letters, combining syllables, reading simple words, and understanding texts. These obstacles are influenced by internal factors such as limited memory, concentration, and learning motivation, as well as external factors such as family support and the school environment. The strategies used by teachers to overcome reading difficulties include the syllabic reading method, visual media, repetition of materials, and an individualized approach tailored to students’ needs. The conclusion of this study is that reading difficulties among students with intellectual disabilities can be minimized through appropriate teaching strategies, teacher patience, and a supportive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective learning strategies for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at SDN Kelapa Dua 05. Children with ASD at this school face challenges in social interaction, concentration, and verbal communication. This research uses a qualitative approach with a second-grade student with ASD and their teacher as subjects. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that a combination of several strategies proved to be effective. These strategies include: an individualized approach that tailors instructions to the child's abilities, the use of visual media such as flashcards to facilitate understanding, intensive guidance from the teacher and support from a deskmate, positive reinforcement through praise and appreciation, and active family involvement to continue the learning process at home. The consistent application of these strategies was proven to improve the academic and social skills of children with ASD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis pengaruh model pembelajaran Make a Match terhadap hasil belajar IPAS pada siswa sekolah dasar. Kajian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelaah 16 artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2020 hingga 2025. Prosedur kajian meliputi penyusunan pertanyaan penelitian, pencarian artikel melalui Google Scholar, penerapan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, penilaian kualitas artikel, serta analisis tematik berbasis vote counting. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa model Make a Match secara konsisten memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Selain itu, beberapa studi juga menyoroti dampak positif pada aspek afektif, sosial, dan visual, terutama ketika model ini dipadukan dengan media audiovisual. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa Make a Match merupakan pendekatan yang relevan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran IPAS yang aktif, menyenangkan, dan bermakna di tingkat sekolah dasar. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi pendidik dan peneliti dalam mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa masa kini.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang konkret dan kontekstual menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di sekolah dasar. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah secara sistematis pengaruh media diorama terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa sekolah dasar, dengan fokus pada aspek yang paling sering ditingkatkan serta karakteristik media yang dinilai efektif. Kajian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis 13 artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan dalam rentang tahun 2022 hingga 2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa seluruh artikel melaporkan dampak positif penggunaan media diorama terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, terutama pada ranah kognitif. Selain itu, media ini juga mendukung peningkatan aspek afektif dan psikomotorik ketika digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang bersifat aktif dan kontekstual. Karakteristik media diorama yang paling efektif meliputi visualisasi konkret, relevansi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, dan interaktivitas. Kajian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan kajian lanjutan berbasis bibliografik maupun bibliometrik untuk memperluas pemahaman tentang peran media diorama dalam berbagai pendekatan pembelajaran.
