Abstract

Objective: This research aims to determine the relationship between the intensity of social media use and the hedonic lifestyle of teenagers SMP X at Sidoarjo, with a sample population of 600 students. Method: The sample in this study was 221 with the sample determined according to strata which was then calculated using the 5% error rate table from Isac & Michael, with an average age of 13-16 years. This research uses an accidental sampling method and uses a psychological scale to measure hedonic lifestyle and intensity of social media use. To test the hypothesis, use Pearson product moment correlation analysis. Results: This research found that there was a relationship between the intensity of social media use and the hedonic lifestyle of teenagers SMP at Sidoarjo with an effective contribution of 84.1% as indicated by a correlation coefficient of r = 0.918 and a significance level of p = 0.000 (<0.05). It can be concluded that a hedonic lifestyle occurs more often in teenagers who use social media intensively, and vice versa. Novelty: This study highlights a strong positive correlation between social media intensity and hedonic lifestyle specifically among junior high school teenagers in Sidoarjo, providing quantitative insight (r = 0.918) into how digital behavior correlates with lifestyle patterns at a local educational level.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to understand the sense of community within the Dulur Mojokerto arts community. Method: The subjects of this study consist of 56 individuals who are members of the Dulur Mojokerto arts community. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, using a sense of community scale adapted from the 24-item Sense of Community Index Version Two (SCI-2) developed by McMillan and Chavis. The SCI-2 is a self-reporting measurement tool comprising 24 questions, with each dimension of the sense of community being represented by 6 questions. These dimensions include membership, influence, integration and fulfillment of needs, and shared emotional connection. Results: Data analysis using descriptive analysis shows that 80% of community members possess a medium sense of community. Novelty: This study provides empirical data on the sense of community within an arts-based community in Indonesia, specifically the Dulur Mojokerto arts community, which has not been widely explored in previous research.

Abstract

Fenomena insecure banyak terjadi di kalangan remaja. Remaja sering merasa minder atau takut ketika ada orang yang lebih darinya, merasa gelisah dan memikirkan terus-menerus ketika ada yang berkomentar negatif tentang dirinya, merasa gengsi dan membanding-bandingkan dirinya dengan orang lain, sering merasa khawatir ketika ada yang membicarakan tentang fisiknya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan loneliness dengan insecure pada remaja. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Antartika 2 Sidoarjo dengan populasi 2.205 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 305 siswa remaja yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling, di mana penentuan sampel berdasarkan kebetulan. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis statistik regresi linier berganda dari software JASP versi 17. Teknik ini digunakan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan loneliness dengan insecure pada remaja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p value sebesar 0,001 < 0,05 sehingga terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan loneliness dengan insecure pada remaja.

Abstract

A student is every person who is officially registered to take lessons in the world of education, students should in carrying out their duties want happiness. Happiness is the life goal of each individual in this case is a student to determine his future. But in reality many students often get unhappiness problems, such as anxiety, fear, negative emotions, relationships with other people. Student happiness in school can be obtained from various factors. Factors that affect a person's level of happiness include gratitude, marital status, age, health, occupation, religion, gender, education level, welfare, and others. Grateful students tend to have positive emotions, pride, hope, enthusiasm, forgiveness, and feelings of joy. Based on this phenomenon, the researcher considers it necessary to conduct research with the aim of knowing the relationship between Gratitude and Happiness for Class XII Students of Hang Tuah 5 High School Sidoarjo. This study uses correlational quantitative methods, with a total sample of 207 students who were taken using the simple saturated technique. The data collection technique in this study uses two psychology models with a Likert scale, namely gratitude and happiness. Data analysis was carried out using the help of SPSS 20 Version for Windows. The results of the analysis of this study found that the correlation coefficient was 0.831 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a positive relationship between gratitude and happiness. So the higher the gratitude, the higher the happiness. The results of the determination test in this study showed 0.685 (adjusted R Square) proving that in this study the gratitude variable gave an effective contribution of 68.5% to student happiness.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the phenomenon of athletes experiencing high anxiety before the match. This study aims to determine the relationship between coach-athlete intimacy and anxiety before the match in Tapak Suci Sidoarjo athletes. This research uses quantitative research with a correlational approach. The variables of this study were coach-athlete intimacy as the independent variable and anxiety before the match as the dependent variable. The study was conducted in Tapak Suci Sidoarjo with a total sample of 87 athletes from the entire population taken using a saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used two Likert model psychological scales, namely the coach-athlete intimacy scale and the anxiety scale before the match. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a negative relationship between coach-athlete intimacy and anxiety before the match in Tapak Suci Sidoarjo athletes. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of the Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique using the SPSS 18 for windows program. The results of the data analysis of this study showed a correlation coefficient of -0.354 with a significance of 0.000. The effective contribution of coach-athlete intimacy with anxiety before the match for Tapak Suci Sidoarjo athletes is 12.5%. So there is a negative relationship between coach-athlete intimacy and anxiety before the match in Tapak Suci Sidoarjo athletes so that the hypothesis can be accepted.

Abstract

Based on a survey with several students, it shows students had a conflict, debate, disputes, feelings of annoyance, so that they cannot solve problems with friends. The existence of conflict will have an impact on the quality of friendship. This study aims to determine the relationship between similarity and the quality of friendship in students of Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. This study uses a quantitative research method with a correlational approach and uses a scale measuring instrument, namely the similarity scale and the friendship quality scale. The sample in this study was 336 students from a population of 9591 students who were taken using incidental sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson product moment correlation. The results of data analysis show the correlation coefficient value of 0.358 with a significance of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between similarity and friendship quality, the higher the similarity students have, the higher the friendship quality students have. On the other hand, the lower the similarity that students have, the lower the quality of friendship they have. The effective contribution of the similarity variable is 12.8% to the quality of friendship. While the remaining 87.2% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This research was conducted because there were problems related to the level of sense of community in members of nature lovers student organizations (mapala) in Sidoarjo regency. These problems are like members who are lazy in activities, do not want to help other members, feel that the organization does not live up to its expectations finally decide to leave the organization, there is seniority and juniority in the organization. Those are some of the problems found in members of nature lover students (mapala) in Sidoarjo regency. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of the level of sense of community in members of nature lovers student organizations (mapala) in Sidoarjo regency. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The sample in this study was all members of nature lovers student organizations in Sidoarjo regency as many as 103 people. Data retrieval techniques use a sense of community scale arranged with the Likert scale. This research data analysis technique uses descriptive statistical techniques. The results of this study showed that 57 out of 103 people had a sense of community with a high category (55.3%), 16 out of 103 people had a sense of community with a low category (15.5%), 9 out of 103 people had a sense of community with a medium category (8.7%).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the need for affiliation with assertive behavior in students who follow student organizations at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The sampling technique in this study is a proportional non random sampling technique with a sample size of 301. Data collection uses a psychological scale with a Likert scale model, namely affiliation needs scale and assertive behavior scale. Data analysis using Pearson Product Moment correlation technique using SPSS 25.0 for windows program. The results of this study indicate rxy = 0.606 and with a significance value of 0.000 where p <0.05, which means the researcher's hypothesis is accepted, namely there is a positive and significant relationship between the need for affiliation and assertive behavior in students who follow student organizations at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The effect of affiliation needs on assertive behavior is 36.7%.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the phenomenon where students of Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo experience social loafing with individual characteristics feeling worried or feeling that their contribution is not accepted by the group.The purpose of this research is to understand the cohesive realtionship of social loafing for Muhammidiyah University Students Sidoarjo. This research type is correlational quantitative, sampling a population of 10.730 college students. The sample surveyed 336 college students utilizing sampling proportional technique. This data collection technique uses cohesivity scale & social loafing scale. The scale cohesivity validity result shows 18 out of 24 item are valid andsocial loafing scale test result shows 20 out of 24 items are valid. The reliability of the cohesive scale is 0,880 and social loafing scale is 0,903. The data analysis result utilize correlation product moment pearson, indicating r=-0,829, p= 0,000 <0,05 which implies the hypothesis is valid. The higher the cohesivity the lower socail loafing, conversely the lower the cohesivity the lower the social loafing. The contribution of effective cohesiity towards socail loafing is 68,8 %.

Abstract

Social loafing is a tendency for individuals to reduce the effort put into achieving a common goal than when work is calculated individually. The purpose of this study was to see the description of social loafing on members of the Mapala organization in Sidoarjo. This research uses descriptive quantitative research and was conducted in Mapala Sidoarjo. The sample in this study were members of the Mapala organization in Sidoarjo as many as 123 respondents. The data collection technique in this study used a social loafing scale in the form of a Likert scale. The results of this study indicate that 64 out of 123 people have social loafing in the high category (52%). The highest social loafing aspect of Mapala organization members is the evaluation apprehension aspect with an average value of 23.46.
