Abstract

General Background: Career planning during adolescence represents a critical developmental task requiring students to determine future educational and occupational pathways. Specific Background: High school students frequently experience uncertainty regarding post-graduation options due to limited knowledge of career pathways, parental expectations, and low confidence in evaluating personal abilities. Knowledge Gap: Although self-efficacy is widely recognized as a factor related to vocational decision processes, empirical evidence examining structured training programs designed to develop self-efficacy among Indonesian high school students remains limited. Aims: This study aimed to examine changes in career decision outcomes following self-efficacy training among grade XII students. Results: Using a quantitative quasi-experimental pre-post design, data were collected from 86 students at SMA Islam Sidoarjo using the adapted Career Decision Scale. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test demonstrated statistically significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores (p < .001), with median scores increasing from 43.00 to 45.00 and a large effect size (rank-biserial correlation = 0.489). The findings indicate increased confidence and improved readiness in determining future vocational plans after training implementation. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence demonstrating measurable changes in vocational decision readiness through a structured self-efficacy training intervention within Indonesian secondary education settings. Implications: The findings support the integration of self-efficacy training into school-based career guidance programs to assist students in reducing uncertainty and strengthening preparedness for post-secondary academic or employment pathways. Highlights: Pre-Test and Post-Test Scores Demonstrated Statistically Verified Improvement in Vocational Readiness Levels. Wilcoxon Analysis Confirmed Strong Magnitude of Change Following the Intervention. Participants Demonstrated Greater Confidence and Reduced Hesitation in Selecting Future Pathways. Abstract

General Background: The rapid growth of K-Pop fandom in the digital era has intensified collective fan engagement, particularly among young women, creating complex social dynamics within concert settings. Specific Background: Incidents of verbal and physical aggression during K-Pop concerts in Indonesia indicate that emotional attachment and strong group bonds may shape behavioral responses among fans. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have rarely examined the combined association of fanaticism and group cohesiveness with aggressiveness among female K-Pop fans who have attended live concerts. Aims: This study aims to examine the relationship between fanaticism and group cohesiveness with aggressiveness among K-Pop fans who have watched their idols’ concerts. Results: Using a quantitative correlational design with 159 respondents from K-Pop communities in Sidoarjo, the findings reveal a significant simultaneous relationship (F = 38.374; p < 0.05), with fanaticism contributing 22.7% and group cohesiveness 14.3% to aggressiveness. Novelty: The study focuses specifically on female concert attendees, addressing a limited empirical area within social and behavioral psychology of fandom. Implications: These findings highlight the importance of emotional regulation and group dynamics management in large-scale fan gatherings to reduce aggressive tendencies. Keywords: Fanaticism, Group Cohesiveness, Aggressiveness, KPop Fans, Concert Behavior Key Findings Highlights: Fan attachment level shows the strongest statistical contribution to aggressive tendencies. Collective bonding within fandom communities is positively associated with hostile actions. Simultaneous correlation confirms both predictors significantly relate to behavioral escalation during live performances.

Abstract

General Background: Quarter Life Crisis represents an emotional crisis commonly experienced during emerging adulthood, characterized by anxiety, self-doubt, and uncertainty regarding identity, career, and interpersonal relationships. This phenomenon is particularly salient among university students transitioning from adolescence to early adulthood. Specific Background: Prior studies have documented the prevalence of Quarter Life Crisis among early adults; however, descriptive evidence detailing categorical levels and gender-based distribution remains limited. Knowledge Gap: Existing research has not comprehensively described the frequency distribution of Quarter Life Crisis categories across demographic characteristics, particularly sex, nor provided detailed statistical profiling within a large student sample. Aims: This study aimed to describe the level of Quarter Life Crisis among undergraduate students aged 18–25 years at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. Results: Using a quantitative descriptive design with stratified random sampling (n = 368) and a 21-item Quarter Life Crisis Scale (α = 0.92), findings revealed that 75.543% of students were categorized at a moderate level, 13.315% at a high level, and 11.141% at a low level. Both male and female students were predominantly classified in the moderate category, although total scores were slightly higher among females. Novelty: This study provides a detailed categorical and demographic breakdown of Quarter Life Crisis levels within a balanced gender sample using JASP-based descriptive statistics. Implications: The predominance of moderate levels indicates the need for preventive psychological support and self-regulation strategies to mitigate emotional distress during emerging adulthood in higher education contexts. Highlights: The Majority of Respondents Were Classified Within the Middle-Level Category (75.543%). Female Participants Obtained Slightly Higher Cumulative Scores Than Males. A Smaller Proportion Exhibited Elevated Conditions (13.315%) Compared With Lower-Level Classification (11.141%). Abstract

General Background: Rapid technological advancement and widespread internet access have made online gaming a dominant leisure activity among university students, raising concerns about maladaptive gaming behaviors. Specific Background: Students are particularly vulnerable to excessive gaming due to developmental, social, and psychological factors that shape their daily routines and coping strategies. Knowledge Gap: Although prior studies have examined determinants of problematic gaming, empirical evidence simultaneously analyzing loneliness and self control as psychological predictors within a university population remains limited. Aims: This study investigated the relationship between loneliness and self control with tendencies toward online gaming addiction among undergraduate students. Results: Using a quantitative correlational design with multiple linear regression on 375 students who regularly played online games at least three hours daily for six months, the findings revealed a significant positive correlation between loneliness and gaming addiction (r = 0.269) and a significant negative correlation between self control and gaming addiction (r = −0.137). Novelty: The study provides integrated evidence that emotional isolation and behavioral regulation jointly relate to addictive gaming tendencies within a large student sample from an Indonesian university context. Implications: These findings suggest that interventions addressing social connectedness and strengthening self regulatory capacities may help reduce problematic online gaming behaviors among university students. Highlights: Higher perceived isolation corresponds with stronger compulsive play patterns. Stronger personal regulation capacity associates with lower problematic use. Most participants exhibited moderate levels across all measured variables. Keywords: Online Gaming Addiction; Loneliness; Self Control; University Students; Behavioral Regulation

Abstract

This study explores the meaning of sense of community among organizational cadres of 'Aisyiyah. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this study investigates the subjective experiences of two participants representing two types of cadres: natural cadres and instant cadres. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews and analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis. Six main themes emerged, reflecting cadres' sense of community in 'Aisyiyah: perceptions of the organization, organizational attachment, organizational involvement, adaptation and internalization of values, internal conflict, and drivers of involvement. The findings revealed that natural cadres whose experiences and values align with the organization demonstrated stable emotional engagement, coming from non-Association backgrounds experienced a more dynamic and complex engagement trajectory. This study advances understanding of how values, history, and social dynamics shape a sense of community in faith-based organizations such as 'Aisyiyah, a context that remains relatively underexplored in existing literature.
