Abstract

The advancement of information technology offers wide opportunities in the development of interactive learning media, one of which is through Android-based devices. In the field of construction, understanding heavy equipment is crucial for students and civil engineering learners. Unfortunately, the lack of engaging and accessible learning media limits the understanding of the types and functions of heavy construction equipment. This study aims to develop an Android-based application for the introduction of heavy construction equipment as an interactive learning medium. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D), which includes several key stages such as: identifying problems and potentials, data collection, product design, validation, revision, testing, and final product refinement. The application includes various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, dump trucks, and motor graders, equipped with images, function descriptions, and interactive features. Validation was conducted by subject matter experts and media experts, while user trials were carried out among selected participants. The evaluation results show that the application is feasible to be used as a learning medium, with high scores in terms of content quality, user interface, and ease of use. This application is expected to support self-directed learning about heavy construction equipment in a more engaging and accessible way, especially for users in educational and technical training environments

Abstract

Document management at the Parepare City Environmental Agency remains conventional, leading to document loss, excessive paper use, and time-consuming verification processes. This research aims to design a web-based document management application to optimize the management of AMDAL, UKL-UPL, and SPPL. The application was developed using the Waterfall method. The application was developed with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL, and tested using white-box and black-box testing methods. The results indicate that the application can facilitate online document registration, completion, and verification. This web-based document management application can improve process efficiency at the Parepare City Environmental Agency, minimize paper consumption, and facilitate tracking of application status. For further development, it is recommended to integrate more advanced evaluation features and provide connectivity with other platforms.Manajemen dokumen di Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Parepare masih bersifat konvensional, sehingga dokumen rentan hilang, penggunaan kertas tinggi, dan proses verifikasi memakan waktu. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang aplikasi manajemen dokumen berbasis web untuk mengoptimalkan pengelolaan AMDAL, UKL-UPL, dan SPPL. Pengembangan aplikasi menggunakan metode Waterfall. Aplikasi dikembangkan dengan PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, dan MySQL, serta diuji menggunakan metode white box dan black box testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi mampu memfasilitasi pendaftaran, pengisian, dan verifikasi dokumen secara daring. Aplikasi pengelolaan dokumen berbasis web ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi proses di Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Parepare, meminimalkan konsumsi kertas, dan memfasilitasi pelacakan status pengajuan. Untuk pengembangan selanjutnya, disarankan untuk mengintregrasikan fitur evaluasi yang lebih mutakhir dan konektivitas dengan platform lain
