Abstract

This research explores the experiences of Muslim students in Darwin, Australia, in balancing religious obligations and academic demands and the impact this has on their identity formation. The method used is qualitative field research methods, including in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that Islamic education contributes positively to students' identity, even though they face challenges such as limited prayer facilities, lack of halal food, and experiences of discrimination that affect emotional well-being. This research's recommendations include increasing support from educational institutions, including providing better facilities and training for teaching staff to understand students' religious values to create a more inclusive and harmonious learning environment.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the pedagogical competence of teachers in Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar (independent learning curriculum) at Assalam Elementary School of Bandar Lampung. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research. The subject in this research is lower class teachers totaling 12 teachers. Data collection techniques use interviews and observation. Data analysis techniques in research apply three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The research results display that the pedagogical competence of teachers at Assalam Islamic Elementary School is running well and optimally. There are 5 of the 6 indicators of pedagogical competence in the reasonable category. These indicators include the ability to master student characteristics, master learning theory and educational learning principle, organize educational learning, facilitate the development of student potential, effective communication, and be empathetic towards students. Meanwhile, the indicator of mastering the evaluation of learning outcomes is in the quite good category. In this way, the pedagogical competencies possessed by teachers can be a pioneer of change in realizing the goals of the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Therefore, mastery of pedagogical competencies which is capable and adaptive is able to navigate the flexibility offered by the independent curriculum and create student-centered learning that is delightful and meaningful.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar berperan penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir logis dan sistematis, namun hasil belajar siswa di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang tidak menghubungkan materi dengan pengalaman dan konteks budaya siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sekolah dasar serta memetakan tren dan karakteristik penelitian terkait. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pedoman PRISMA 2020. Sebanyak 10 artikel terbitan tahun 2021-2025 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan CRT secara konsisten dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa, baik melalui integrasi dengan model Problem Based Learning dan Project Based Learning maupun melalui pemanfaatan media digital dan media konkret. Selain itu, penelitian CRT didominasi oleh desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, sementara studi Kuasi Eksperimen masih terbatas. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa CRT efektif dan relevan dalam pembelajaran matematika sekolah dasar serta perlu dikembangkan melalui penelitian lanjutan dengan desain metodologis yang lebih beragam.
