Abstract

Background: There were 32 cases of malnourished children in 2022 at the Kendari City Health Center. Formulas Modisco can be used as a supplementary food to improve the weight of malnourished children. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of Modisco formula on the weight gain of malnourished children. The variables in this study are Modisco formula and the increase in weight of malnourished children. Methods: The population in this study is malnourished children, and a total of 32 children were sampled by using total sampling technique. The research design was used a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental study and using paired t-test analysis. Results: The statistical test results showed that the alpha value was < 0.05, which is 0.000, indicating that there is an influence of Modisco formula on the weight gain of malnourished children. Conclusion: It is recommended to promote the use of Modisco formula as a supplementary food for malnourished children and to modify the formula by incorporating local ingredients to create snacks for children.

Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique amounted to 17. Mc Nemar analysis. Cardiorespiratory research results in the elderly before the exercise program were mostly normal with pulse, breathing and blood pressure all normal, while walking for 12 minutes was normal for 10 people (58.8%) and 7 people were not normal (41.2%). Cardiorespiration in the elderly after exercise was mostly normal with pulse, respiration and blood pressure all normal, while walking for 12 minutes was normal for 16 people (94.1%) and 1 person was abnormal (5.9%). There is an effect of implementing PROLANIS exercise on Cardiorespiratory in the Elderly in Baini and Konggamea Villages, Sampara District, Konawe Regency in 2016. Abstract

Gastritis is known in the community as heartburn or heartburn. It is an inflammation of the mucosal wall. It can occur suddenly and is usually characterized by nausea and vomiting, pain, bleeding, weakness, decreased appetite, or headache. It can be caused by habitual consumption of sensitive foods, or often by a frivolous diet. The individual overeats, eats foods that are overly seasoned or contain microorganisms. Other causes of gastritis include alcohol, smoking, age, aspirin, bile reflux or radiation therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of gastritis in patients at Faisal Makassar Islamic Hospital and to determine the relationship between the patient's diet and smoking history with the incidence of gastritis in patients. This study is a type of retrospective Exposfacto research with the design / design of Crossectional Study, by obtaining primary data (data obtained directly from patients) and secondary data (data obtained from the medica record of Faisal Makassar Islamic Hospital and obtained from family or people closest to the patient). The population in this study were all patients suffering from gastrointestinal diseases at Faisal Islamic Hospital Makassar. The sample in this study were all patients suffering from gastritis disease at Faisal Islamic Hospital Makassar. Chi-Square test P value = 0.003 < α = 0.05. This means that a person's irregular diet is very influential on the occurrence of gastritis. the results of bivariate analysis showed that there was no relationship between smoking history and the incidence of gastritis at Faisal Islamic Hospital Makassar with Chi-Square test P=0.117 and < α = 0.05.

Abstract

Screening results for HBSAg among 127 employees at RSUD Buton Utara that 7 medical staff and 1 staff positive for HBSAg. This undoubtedly poses a risk of transmission to other employees, patients, and the visiting public. This research aims to examine the factors influencing the prevention of nosocomial infections among medical staff at RSUD Buton Utara. The research design is explanatory research with a cross-sectional study approach. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test to investigate the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Subsequently, logistic regression analysis was used to examine the impact of variables on one another. The population consisted of 129 individuals, and a purposive sample of 127 individuals was drawn. The research findings indicate that there is a relationship between workload, attitudes, healthcare facilities, and medical practices with nosocomial infection prevention at RSUD Buton Utara. However, knowledge was found to have no correlation with nosocomial infection prevention at RSUD Buton Utara. After conducting multiple linear regression analyses, it was determined that workload significantly influences nosocomial infection prevention with a p-value of 0.002. It is recommended to enhance human resources, improve promotion efforts, create a safe and comfortable working environment, and upgrade facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

With a high prevalence of stunting in children in the Central Buton District. This study aims to explore the relationship between internal family dynamics and external social relationships affecting children's nutrition. The study was based on the hypothesis that more frequent and qualitative family interactions and involvement in social activities would correlate with a lower risk of stunting. This study used a cross-sectional study design. Analyzing secondary data from the 2021 Family Data Collection (PK21). The study included 6,586 target families as a sample, the analysis included family dynamics as an exposure variable and used the family happiness index formula to identify family interaction and social interaction. The study used logistic regression from Scikit-learn to evaluate the data in the final stage. Data analysis revealed that internal family interactions, although important, showed no statistically significant association with stunting risk (p=0.3699). However, social interaction had a highly significant association with reduced risk of stunting, with a regression coefficient of -1.9934 and Odds Ratio (AOR) of 0.1362 (95% CI: 0.0739 - 0.2510, p<0.0001) in logistic regression analysis. These findings confirm that strong social engagement and community support are key factors in reducing the prevalence of stunting among children in the Mawasangka sub-district. This study concludes that engagement in community social activities has a significant impact on reducing the risk of stunting in children. The findings suggest that interventions aimed at reducing stunting should go beyond intra-family interventions and include increased social interaction and community support to achieve optimal outcomes in stunting prevention.

Abstract

Social media has become an important platform in health education. It allows individuals to connect and share information about health. However, no studies have systematically explored the role of social media as a virtual public space in health education. This systematic review aims to explore the role of social media as a virtual public sphere in health education, from the perspective of Habermas' public sphere theory. The review was conducted by searching for research articles published in reputable scientific journals between 2010 and 2023. The method used to write this article is a systematic literature review (SLR). The systematic literature review method used in this research is the PRISMA method. Article search, article extraction, and article classification using the Watase UAKE application. The article search was conducted online using two (2) database sources, namely Scopus (Q1-Q4) and Semantic Scholar. The review showed that social media has the potential to be an effective virtual public sphere in health education. This platform can be used to. Increase awareness and understanding of health Provide information and support for individuals in need, strengthen community participation in health education, However, social media also has some limitations in supporting health education. These limitations include: Disinformation and misinformation, Polarization of opinion Conflict of interest. In this review concludes that social media can be a valuable tool for health education. However, it is important to be aware of its limitations and take steps to overcome them.

Abstract

Family of critical patients treated in the Intensive Care Unit Care Units (ICUs) often experience high levels of anxiety due to unstable patient conditions, complex ICU environments, and limited information. One nursing intervention that can be implemented to reduce family anxiety is a therapeutic nurse approach. This study aims to determine the effect of a therapeutic nurse approach on reducing anxiety levels in families of critically ill patients in the ICU. The study used a quantitative design with a pre -experimental one-way approach. group pretest-posttest. The research sample consisted of 40 families of critically ill patients selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument used was the Hamilton questionnaire. Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Data analysis was performed using a paired t- test. The results showed a decrease in the anxiety level of families of critically ill patients after being given a therapeutic approach by nurses with a p-value <0.05. The conclusion of this study is that the therapeutic approach by nurses has a significant effect on reducing the anxiety level of families of critically ill patients in the ICU.
