Abstract

The interest in learning the Qur'an has started to rise amidst the current era of moral degradation among children and adolescents. Effective Qur'an learning must be adapted to existing conditions. To address the dual global challenges of increasing interest in Qur'an learning and English language education, an integrated method is required. This paper aims to provide an understanding of the importance of Qur'an and English language education using the Al-Muyassar Qur'an learning method. This research employs a literature review method. The results of the study indicate that teaching the Qur'an to young children using the Muyassar method is highly accurate and effective, allowing children to fluently and rhythmically recite the Qur'an from an early age. With the Muyassar method, a teacher is required to extend the time for Qur'an revision (muraja'ah) to strengthen the child's memory retention. While this integrated learning method offers various advantages, it also comes with certain drawbacks. Therefore, further research on this integrated method is necessary.

Abstract

The complexity of technology has changed the paradigm of society that tends to be happy with instant things. This also happens in the process of food processing and service. Education about halal and haram food is important in the era of technology and current food trends that are starting to bias halal and haram. STEAM learning can help students understand the concept to face the challenges of the 21st century, especially studying the concept of halal and haram food. The purpose of this study is to describe how STEAM-based learning can build complete knowledge related to halal and haram food. This research is a type of critical literature study research with the Cresswell analysis knife. Data sources are taken from the Scopus database, web science of direct and Google Scholar. The findings obtained are that the STEAM approach, including science, can be used to analyze food substances so that students know how halal food is from a scientific perspective. Learning using technology makes students understand food processing. Meanwhile, learning food engineering will provide a new perspective for students. So, knowing halal and haram food engineering. Likewise, discussing food from its aesthetic elements is also important. Where in Islam there are also rules for eating clean and non-disgusting food. Finally, mathematical literacy is needed for arrange food so that you don't overdo it consuming food. Therefore, the integration of halal and haram food learning with the STEAM approach can teach students more complete knowledge of halal and haram food using 21st century competencies.

Abstract

Community service activities through ribbon embroidery art training aim to increase creativity and soft skills, especially among members of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in Sakarya, Turkey. This training was carried out as part of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program at Darussalam Gontor University to empower the community through developing practical skills. The art of ribbon embroidery, which has been known since the 17th century, was chosen as training material because of its creative and applicable nature. The training method involves lectures for basic introduction and hands-on practice to support participants' technical skills. This activity focuses on making simple motifs that are applied to media such as headscarves, thereby providing direct and relevant benefits for participants. The results of the activity showed that ribbon embroidery training was able to increase participants' understanding and skills in the field of handicraft arts. Apart from that, this training also motivates participants to continue to develop their creativity and skills in supporting PPI's women's activities. Thus, this program has a positive impact on community empowerment and strengthening soft skills, while preserving traditional arts that have high cultural value.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of using Kahoot! learning game media on the academic performance of fifth-grade students in Islamic Education and Character lessons. The research employed the McTaggart Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, consisting of two cycles that included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' academic achievement, with the mastery level increasing from 94.74% in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle. The use of Kahoot! as a game-based learning medium proved effective in enhancing student engagement, participation, conceptual understanding, and material retention. This study highlights the importance of innovative and technology-based teaching strategies to improve learning effectiveness. The implementation of interactive media such as Kahoot! can serve as a solution for educators to create a more dynamic and engaging learning experience for students. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dampak penggunaan media permainan pembelajaran Kahoot! terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas lima dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) McTaggart dengan dua siklus yang mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam capaian akademik siswa, dengan rata-rata ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 94,74% pada siklus pertama menjadi 100% pada siklus kedua. Penggunaan Kahoot! sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis game terbukti mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan partisipasi siswa dalam kelas, memperbaiki pemahaman konsep, serta meningkatkan retensi materi. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Implementasi media interaktif seperti Kahoot! dapat menjadi solusi bagi guru dalam menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih dinamis dan menarik bagi siswa.

Abstract

Child education is a crucial aspect of individual and societal development. This study discusses and compares the concepts of child education from Islamic and Western perspectives, focusing on educational objectives, teaching methods, and the role of teachers. The background of this research stems from the need to understand the differences and similarities between these two approaches to create a more holistic and inclusive educational system. This research employs a library research method, gathering data from various relevant primary and secondary literature, including books, academic journals, and research articles. Data analysis is conducted descriptively and comparatively to identify the main themes, differences, and similarities in child education concepts from both perspectives. The findings indicate that child education from the Islamic perspective emphasizes character and spirituality formation, while Western education focuses more on developing critical thinking skills and active participation in society. Teaching methods in Islam are holistic, emphasizing moral and spiritual education, whereas Western education employs student-centered and interactive approaches. The role of the teacher in Islamic education is more of a moral exemplar and authoritative figure, whereas in Western education, the teacher acts as a facilitator supporting student exploration. The conclusion of this research is that integrating Islamic and Western educational approaches can result in a more comprehensive educational system, which not only develops the intellectual aspects but also the moral and spiritual aspects of children. Therefore, it is recommended to develop curricula and teaching methods that combine the moral values of Islamic education with the critical and creative approaches of Western education. Adequate teacher training is also essential to support the implementation of a holistic and student-centered educational approach.

Abstract

Islamophobia adalah fenomena yang didasarkan pada ketakutan terhadap sikap seseorang. Sikap ini dapat berupa ketidaktahuan, kebencian, atau prasangka buruk yang berlebihan terhadap umat Islam. Istilah ini mencakup berbagai jenis diskriminasi, stereotip, dan stigma negatif lainnya yang terjadi di masyarakat Barat saat ini. Kemudian, stigma ini dijadikan alasan untuk digunakan dalam propaganda. Salah satu faktor yang mendorong islamophobia adalah ketidakseimbangan umat Muslim dan serangan teroris yang diklaim oleh beberapa kelompok ekstremis Islam. Hingga saat ini, setiap Muslim masih merasa dampaknya secara langsung, sering menjadi sorotan dan korban dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, seperti pekerjaan, pendidikan, bahkan interaksi sosial itu sendiri. Di tingkat yang lebih luas, islamophobia menimbulkan ketegangan masyarakat yang dapat membahayakan kerukunan sosial. Proses pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan metode: persiapan, pelaksanaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Pada tahap pertama, yaitu persiapan, moderator memberikan penjelasan singkat tentang bagaimana peristiwa atau isu islamophobia dapat terjadi di masyarakat dengan peserta yang terdiri dari 2 dosen ahli dalam pemikiran Islam dari Universitas Darussalam Gontor. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, yang berlangsung dari tanggal 9 Maret hingga 19 Maret, pemateri menyampaikan materi terkait islamophobia, serta para pembimbing KKN Internasional Turki memberikan arahan dan strategi dalam menghadapi fenomena ini. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 27 siswa Madrasah Bilge, 2 dosen ahli pemikiran Islam UNIDA Gontor, dan 5 mahasiswa UNIDA Gontor. Hasil kegiatan menujukan sebanyak 85% peserta merasa lebih memahami konsep islamophobia dan cara mengatasinya, sementara 80% peserta mengaku lebih percaya diri dalam mengekspresikan identitas keislaman mereka di ruang publik. Selain itu, lebih dari 75% peserta aktif berpartisipasi dalam diskusi, menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi terhadap materi yang diberikan. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman mengenai islamophobia dan strategi yang dapat digunakan untuk menghadapinya, seperti dialog yang konstruktif dan penyebaran konten positif di media sosial. Program ini diharapkan dapat membekali santri dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik dalam menghadapi stigma dan memperkuat ketahanan diri mereka dalam lingkungan sosial yang beragam.

Abstract

This study compares Singapore and Indonesia's approaches to character education. The three main subjects of this study are the problems and ideological foundations of character education in the two countries. A qualitative research method with a library approach, often referred to as desk research, is the methodology used. Study findings, published works, or official policies related to character education in the two countries are the sources of the data. Character education in Indonesia is based on the country's ideology, culture, religious views and customs, according to the research findings. Similarly, government policy constraints, official ideologies and philosophical beliefs form the foundation of character education in Singapore. Singapore and Indonesia both have problems with free sex, vandalism, thuggery and juvenile crime. Variations in stress levels affect the character of young people due to the high level of mobility in Singapore.

Abstract

Beberapa factor yang menyebabkan kurangnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran, berpusat pada guru saja dan menggunakan metode ceramah berdampak pada penurunan nilai dan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran Fiqih. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran Brainstorming terhadap Hasil Belajar Fiqih Kelas 8 Mts Maarif NU 1 Kemranjen Banyumas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif Metode Eskperimen dengan True Experimen design. Populasi kelas 8 Mts Maarif NU 1 Kemranjen Banyumas dan sampel yang berjumlah 68 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah metode tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney dengan bantuan spss 25. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh Metode Pembelajaran Brainstorming terhadap hasil belajar kelas 8 Mts Maarif Nu 1 Kemranjen Banyumas melalui pretest dan posttest. Peneliti menggunakan uji Mann Whitney dengan nilai sebesar Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 sehingga 0,000 < 0,05 dapat dilihat bahwasannya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Berdasarkan kesimpulan peneliti mengajukan beberapa saran bahwa: 1) Kepada guru hendaknya menggunakan metode pembelajaran Brainstorming pada pelajaran Fiqih karena terbukti dapat meningkatkan serta mempengaruhi hasil belajar dan nilai siswi. 2) Sekolah atau Lembaga MTS Maarif NU 1 Kemranjen Banyumas agar dapat menginovasi metode pembelajaran yang baik.

Abstract

Modern education today faces a crisis of values due to the dominance of secular and materialistic paradigms, which neglect the spiritual dimension of learners. In this context, the thoughts of Bediuzzaman Said Nursi offer a valuable conceptual alternative through a spiritual education framework that integrates religious sciences with modern knowledge. This study aims to explore in depth the concept of spiritual education in Said Nursi’s thought and its relevance to the development of contemporary Islamic educational curricula. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, critically analyzing Nursi’s primary works—particularly the Risale-i Nur—as well as relevant secondary academic literature. The results of the study indicate that spiritual education according to Nursi is a process of shaping faith, character, and divine consciousness involving the intellect, heart, and soul. He proposes a holistic model of education that integrates medrese (religious schools), mektep (modern secular schools), and tekke (Sufi institutions), emphasizing key spiritual values such as acz (powerlessness), faqr (poverty), shafqat (compassion), and tafakkur (contemplation). This concept contributes significantly to the development of an Islamic curriculum that balances spiritual and intellectual aspects. The findings affirm that Said Nursi's thought is highly relevant to addressing contemporary educational challenges and can serve as a foundation for reconstructing a tawhid-based Islamic education curriculum grounded in spiritual values.
