Abstract

Character formation is one of the goals of education, especially Islamic education. One important character is a critical character. Critical is a character that is commonly owned by students, the formation of this character is seen from the ability of students to analyze various kinds of problems sharply and deeply. The purpose of this study is to reveal that in developing the critical thinking character of students, it is necessary to apply a learning assessment based on High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). HOTS-based assessment is an assessment based on questions compiled by the teacher to measure the ability of students in the realm of analysis, evaluation, and creativity. The method used in this research is library research method using a descriptive approach. The results of this study are in the form of concepts used in HOTS-based assessments, as well as their implementation in PAI subjects. Not only that, the competence of a PAI teacher in the application of the HOTS-based assessment concept is very influential, so that the HOTS-based assessment is able to form a critical character in students.

Abstract

One of the extrinsic causes of moral decadence in adolescents is the failure of teachers to teach akidah Akhlaq material. Where the lessons of Akidah Akhlaq fail to be lived and practiced in daily life by students. The learning model is a contributing factor to successes and failures in teaching. This paper aims to describe the role of the Student Centered Learning learning model in adolescent moral education towards the material of Akhlak akidah in madrasahs. The research carried out is qualitative research with literature studies.  The researchers found that SCL patterns in Akidah Akhlaq learning influenced teachers' success in teaching. The application of SCL for learners provides hands-on experience in learning. Akidah Akhlaq's learning becomes more meaningful. If you have found concrete meaning in learning, it will facilitate the steps towards the process of passion and practice in life. Through the characteristics of active, constructive, collaborative, enthusiastic, dialogical, contextual, reflective, multisensory, and high-order learning skills training provides satisfactory learning outcomes. The education of akhlaq teenagers in this age is something very important considering how difficult the morals of today's teenagers are. The SCL method can be applied to support the success of moral education in adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the debate-based SCL learning model from the perspective of Surah An-Nahl verse 125. This research is vital because learning methods are one of the factors that determine learning success. One method of teaching approach that has proven to be effective and efficient is student-centred Learning (SCL). Development of learning with the SCL model, learners can more quickly understand the material and a teacher can more easily internalize educational values. If we analyze the interpretation of Surah An-Nahl verse 125, several education methods will be found. The type of research used is qualitative research with a library research approach. To analyze the data, this study used secondary data derived from the book of tafsir, which explains surah An-Nahl verse 125 and several data references related to the research. The results showed that SCL was learning in the surah An-Nahl verse 125 content, namely debate-based learning. The passage "refute them with a good rebuttal" signifies a debate learning method. With the jidal/debate method, at least two intelligences are formed in the learners. That is intellectual intelligence with broad insights to develop arguments and emotional intelligence necessary to maintain debate ethics. However, the debate set in education is undoubtedly a debate with polite words, full of ethics and does not put forward emotions. From the analysis of Surah An-Nahl verse 125, a teacher can apply the debate-based SCL learning model to improve the quality of his teaching.

Based on the result of the research conducted, there was an increase of 10,47% in post-test assessment after being given direct method treatment. There was an increase in the average pre-test from (6.95) to (8.42) in the post-test score. The results of the hypothesis test show that the significance value is 0.00 where if the value is below 0.05 then there is an effectiveness of the direct method in learning Arabic. On the other hand, Santriwati is very responsive and enthusiastic in learning Arabic using the direct method because some of them like (76.7%) to learn using the direct method than those who do not like (23.3%). Abstract

Educational psychology is a science that discusses all psychological problems in the educational process (teaching and learning). In the learning process, it is necessary to instill a tradition of thinking well and positively, one of which is thinking critically from an early age. Practicing curiosity about something will hone critical thinking patterns. When individuals think, what is needed is an intelligence quotient (IQ) to find out how much level a person has in applying critical thinking. This study aims to elaborate on how important parents' role is in developing IQ and forming necessary thinking skills in children. Critical thinking is a very important thinking skill because it is useful for solving problems in life. The method used in this study is library research, which collects data with textual sources in journals, articles, and books related to the discussion. The results showed that from the perspective of Educational Psychology, the role of parents is very significant in developing IQ and shaping critical thinking skills. Several main views are used: biological, behaviorism, cognitive, psychoanalysis and phenomenological perspectives. Therefore, in forming IQ and critical thinking skills, there needs to be habituation and experimentation with children's mindsets such as giving questions, giving conclusions, and trying to research something that is unknown. This research is expected to educate parents to understand child psychology better.

Abstract

Learning Arabic appears to be very difficult for non-native Arabic speakers, particularly beginners. The purpose of this study is to determine the application of the Arabic language environment for the New Santriwati in the Islamic Modern Boarding School Darussalam Gontor. The development and deployment of a language environment, which comprises types, programs, supporting components, and obstacles in the creation of language environments, is a crucial component of this research. This study employs qualitative and descriptive research methods, exposing methods based on the reality of actual situations and data-gathering treatments such as interviews, observations, and documentation. According to the outcome of this study, the environment of language is divided into two parts: formal and non-formal. The presence of a program of language activities such as ilqo' Mufrodat, idhof lughowi, arabic speaking, tasyji'u lugho, muhaawarah usbu'iyyah, fun friday, etc. The presence of figures/Qudwah in the Arabic language at all times is the most crucial component for encouraging the development of the linguistic environment. Obstacles encountered in implementing the language environment for the new santriwati at the Modern Darussalam Gontor consist of the differences in the background of students in Arabic learning, a lack of curiosity for Arabic vocabulary, a student's weak capacity in studying the Arabic language, and the presence of elements of underestimation to the disciplinary rules. The solution is to organize communication business activities, motivate people to love Arabic and tighten up Arabic language discipline. The findings of this study should assist teachers in developing a more conducive linguistic environment.

Abstract

Recently, the practice of categorizing intelligent students and unintelligent students is a deeply ingrained phenomenon within the realm of education in Indonesia. Indeed, multiple specialists have verified that the attributes of intelligence vary among individual students. Hence, this study aims to revolutionize theme education in primary schools by implementing an autonomous curriculum that is rooted in the Islamic Montessori for Multiple Intelligence approach. This study employs the library research methodology, utilizing primary and secondary data derived from printed or digital sources such as books, journals, and magazines. The outcome of this discussion is to generate a set of activities for different domains of learning. These activities include folding clothes or buttoning clothes for the Islamic Studies domain, hand washing for the practical life domain, matching pictures with zones for the sensorial domain, matching words for the language domain, matching numbers for the mathematical domain, matching fruit with pictures for the cultural realm, and drawing or creating ecobricks for the arts & crafts realm. These diverse educational approaches involve the creation of a curriculum centered around the Islamic Montessori for Multiple Intelligence method, with the aim of promoting a healthy and virtuous lifestyle. These methods can be effectively utilized by teachers during classroom instruction. Through the development of diverse learning activities, education will be conducted in a more comprehensive manner, tailored to the individual traits and capabilities of each student. This approach to designing educational activities can thereafter be implemented in the instruction of young children in primary schools.
