Abstract

Kabupaten Sumedang, khususnya Kecamatan Wado, menghadapi permasalahan serius dalam pengelolaan sampah di kawasan wisata Waduk Jatigede. Data dari databoks.com tahun 2023, menunjukkan bahwa komposisi sampah di Indonesia didominasi oleh sisa makanan (41,4%), diikuti oleh sampah plastik (18,6%), serta jenis sampah lain seperti kertas, logam, dan kaca. Di Kecamatan Wado, peningkatan jumlah wisatawan berbanding lurus dengan meningkatnya volume sampah, sementara infrastruktur pengelolaan limbah masih minim. Hal ini berdampak pada estetika lingkungan dan berisiko menurunkan daya tarik wisata daerah tersebut. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pendekatan studi kasus melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang diselenggarakan oleh tim Fikom Unpad. Program ini dilakukan dalam bentuk talkshow interaktif di Radio Trimekar, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan pemangku kepentingan, dan interaksi dengan pendengar radio melalui platform komunikasi dua arah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan thematic analysis, di mana pola utama dalam persepsi dan partisipasi masyarakat terhadap isu sampah diidentifikasi dan dikategorikan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dorongan pemerintah dalam pengelolaan sampah di Kecamatan Wado masih belum optimal, sementara kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kebersihan lingkungan juga rendah. Umpan balik dari pendengar radio menunjukkan bahwa 80% peserta memahami pentingnya pengelolaan sampah setelah mengikuti talkshow, dan 70% merasa lebih termotivasi untuk berpartisipasi dalam program lingkungan. Kesimpulannya, talkshow berbasis radio efektif sebagai media edukasi dan advokasi lingkungan, terutama di wilayah dengan akses terbatas terhadap informasi digital. Kolaborasi berkelanjutan antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan media lokal diperlukan untuk menciptakan solusi pengelolaan sampah yang lebih berkelanjutan.  Jatigede Waste Management: Community Service through Talk Show on Trimekar Radio Abstract Sumedang Regency, particularly Wado District, faces serious waste management issues in the Jatigede Reservoir tourism area. Data from databoks.com (2023) shows that Indonesia’s waste composition is dominated by food waste (41.4%), followed by plastic waste (18.6%), along with other types such as paper, metal, and glass. In Wado District, the increasing number of tourists correlates with rising waste volumes, while waste management infrastructure remains inadequate. This situation affects environmental aesthetics and threatens the region’s tourism appeal. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach through a Community Service Program (PKM) conducted by the Fikom Unpad team. The program was carried out in the form of an interactive talk show on Trimekar Radio, aiming to raise public awareness about waste management. Data was collected through field observations, interviews with stakeholders, and engagement with radio listeners via a two-way communication platform. Thematic analysis was used to identify and categorize key patterns in community perceptions and participation regarding waste issues. The results indicate that government efforts in waste management in Wado District remain suboptimal, while public awareness of environmental cleanliness is still low. Feedback from radio listeners revealed that 80% of participants understood the importance of waste management after attending the talk show, and 70% felt more motivated to participate in environmental programs. In conclusion, radio-based talk shows are effective as educational and advocacy tools, particularly in areas with limited access to digital information. Sustainable waste management solutions require continued collaboration between the government, communities, and local media.

Abstract

Partisipasi warga dalam promosi pariwisata memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan daya tarik suatu destinasi wisata. Namun, warga di sekitar Waduk Jatigede, Kabupaten Sumedang, menghadapi kendala dalam menyusun konten promosi wisata berbasis media sosial akibat keterbatasan keterampilan dan pemahaman mengenai strategi penulisan yang efektif. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, tim abdimas Program Studi Jurnalistik Universitas Padjadjaran mengadakan pelatihan penulisan konten promosi wisata bagi warga di lima desa di Kecamatan Jatigede. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan warga dalam menyusun dan mengelola konten media sosial yang menarik dan informatif guna mendukung promosi wisata lokal. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah pendekatan andragogi yang berpusat pada partisipasi aktif peserta dengan teknik tutorial, diskusi, dan praktik menulis. Materi pelatihan mencakup strategi penyusunan konten promosi, pemilihan platform media sosial yang sesuai, serta etika dan teknik penulisan digital. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengalami peningkatan dalam memahami teknik penulisan konten yang efektif, dibuktikan dengan kemampuan mereka menghasilkan konten yang lebih sistematis dan menarik. Selain itu, sebagian besar peserta menyatakan ketertarikan untuk terus mengembangkan keterampilan ini melalui pelatihan lanjutan. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas warga dalam memanfaatkan media sosial untuk promosi pariwisata. Untuk keberlanjutan program, diperlukan pendampingan dan kolaborasi lebih lanjut antara akademisi, pemerintah daerah, dan masyarakat setempat guna memperkuat partisipasi warga dalam industri pariwisata digital.

Abstract

Suara Waditra Community Radio is a community radio based in Sukasetia Village, Cisayong District, Tasikmalaya Regency. This radio has a broadcasting permit from the Minister of Communication and Information in 2018. Suara Waditra Community Radio is still continuing to broadcast both to convey information about the village and just for entertainment. The aim of this research is to find out the existence of Suara Waditra Community Radio in the community, especially in context knowledge sharing. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Research data was collected through interviews and observations. This research shows that Suara Waditra Community Radio faces significant problems related to a lack of human resources. Radio can only broadcast a limited number and quality of programs due to these conditions, often with a focus on entertainment programming rather than educational or awareness programming. The development and success of community radio is also hampered by the lack of community participation in supporting radio operations through funding and active involvement as a broadcasting institution. In addition, this research found that Suara Waditra Community Radio still has loyal listeners, especially among the elderly and those who have not fully used modern technology, despite competition from digital media. The Village Corner program shows how community radio can help empower communities and spread local information that is not reported by mainstream media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran komunikasi publik pemerintah dalam menangani isu prostitusi online yang berkembang, dengan fokus pada strategi sosial dan kemasyarakatan untuk regulasi digital dan kesadaran publik. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana berbagai lembaga pemerintah mengomunikasikan kebijakan, peraturan, dan tindakan pencegahan yang bertujuan untuk mengekang prostitusi online. Perangkat lunak NVivo digunakan untuk menganalisis transkrip wawancara. Penelitian ini mempelajari implikasi sosial dari prostitusi online, termasuk dampaknya terhadap keamanan masyarakat, persepsi publik, dan norma-norma masyarakat. Melalui analisis tematik, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi strategi komunikasi utama yang digunakan oleh pemerintah untuk mengatur platform online, meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat, dan berkolaborasi dengan penegak hukum dan tokoh masyarakat. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa kampanye komunikasi publik yang efektif, dikombinasikan dengan regulasi digital dan pelibatan masyarakat, sangat penting untuk mengatasi tantangan prostitusi online. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman tentang bagaimana strategi komunikasi pemerintah dapat memengaruhi sikap dan perilaku masyarakat terkait prostitusi online, sekaligus menyoroti pentingnya pendekatan terpadu yang melibatkan penegakan kebijakan, wacana publik, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Rekomendasi dibuat untuk meningkatkan efektivitas upaya komunikasi publik untuk memastikan dukungan masyarakat yang lebih luas dan partisipasi aktif dalam memerangi masalah ini.

Abstract

Personal branding has become a key element in winning political contests, particularly for female politicians who face challenges related to stereotypes and intense competition. This study analyzes the personal branding strategies of Ledia Hanifa, a female politician who has been elected four consecutive times as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR-RI) since 2009. Employing a case study method with a qualitative approach, this research utilizes in-depth interviews and literature studies to explore the dimensions of personal branding based on the Brand Identity Prism theory popularized by Jean-Noel Kapferer. The findings reveal that Ledia Hanifa's personal branding encompasses a physical appearance that reflects religiosity, a friendly and humorous personality, Islamic cultural values, collaborative relationships, and a self-image that is perceived as trustworthy and caring. The personal branding strategies implemented leverage both online and offline media to build relationships with the public and reinforce positive perceptions. This study underscores the importance of consistency and technological adaptation in establishing personal branding for female politicians to enhance public attention.

Abstract

Community radio is one form of broadcasting institution that is legal and exists in Indonesia based on Law No. 32 of 2002 on Broadcasting. Community radios are created by and for the benefit of the communities they serve. One of the community radios that currently still exists in broadcasting is Suara Waditra Community Radio, which is used by the local village government as a medium for delivering information about the countryside. This research aims to find out the extent of the communication strategy of the Sukasetia Village Government in terms of delivering information to residents. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews with selected informants. The results showed that the Village Government's communication strategy through radio broadcasting on Suara Waditra Community Radio was quite good. Through the Village Corner segment, the Village Government conveys information about the countryside that can be accessed easily and cheaply by residents. The village corner segment is welcomed by residents, as evidenced by statements from villagers that the information delivered on Community Radio is especially useful. However, the integration of Community Radio and digital media should still be done to support the delivery of faster and more comprehensive information.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran artificial intelligence dalam komunikasi politik Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) pada Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) calon Gubernur Jawa Barat tahun 2024. Studi ini menggunakan. metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui wawancara dan observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Terdapat empat informan yang diwawancarai dengan teknik purposive sampling, terdiri atas dua orang inisiator pengembangan artificial intelligence dan dua pengguna aktif artificial intelligence tersebut dalam kegiatan kampanye PKS DPW Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan artificial intelligence oleh PKS memiliki tiga peran utama. Pertama, memiliki peran untuk personalisasi pesan kampanye yang memungkinkan penyesuaian narasi berdasarkan karakteristik demografis. Kedua, memiliki peran untuk perancana kampanye yang mampu memetakan isu strategis, sentimen publik, serta merancang strategi kampanye berdasarkan data. Ketiga, memiliki peran untuk mendeteksi misinformasi dalam mengidentifikasi penyebaran informasi yang ditujukan kepada kandidat yang diusung oleh PKS sebagai calon Gubernur Jawa Barat.

Abstract

Digital platform features can be a means of increasing hoaxes and hate speech if not regulated by strict policies. Currently, Indonesia has only implemented Presidential Regulation No. 32 of 2024, which specifically regulates the responsibilities of digital platforms through Article 5, which has six points of regulation. This new regulation can be used as a basis to see the responsibility of digital platforms in overcoming hoaxes and hate speech. This research aims to see to what extent digital platform X has been adequate to the demands of the newly implemented regulations. This research uses a qualitative research method with an interpretative paradigm that collects data through documentation studies. The research was conducted by analyzing the policies that have been available on digital platform X and comparing them with the regulations applied. The findings of this study indicate that digital platform X has made efforts to overcome hate speech and hoaxes in accordance with the regulations applied. The efforts made include implementing clear and firm rules and policies, providing reporting features, and collaborating with creators through partnership services. However, there are some efforts that have not been specifically regulated, so further adjustments are needed in order to optimally meet the demands of the applied regulations

Abstract

A team of students of the Community Service Program, in collaboration with its lecturers, carried out Community Service in Cipicung Village, Jatigede District, Sumedang Regency, with the theme of journalistic content management and website development training for tourist areas. This Community Service aims to improve the ability of website managers to promote Jatigede's tourism potential more effectively, equip managers with journalistic content creation skills to have attractive information and encourage the community to participate and become the main actors in sustainably promoting Jatigede tourist destinations. The implementation method was carried out through lectures, discussions, practices and simulations. These collaborative community service activities produced four articles contents and four videos contents uploaded to the Jatigede District website and YouTube with the theme of potential, superior products, the benefits of mango “gedong gincu”, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) products and the tourism potential of Al-Kamil Mosque. In addition, the training results also showed an increase in the knowledge and ability of village and sub-district website managers in Jatigede. This activity also received a positive and sustainable response as a fostered area.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 dan kebijakan pembatasan sosial menyebabkan industri musik, khususnya konser luring, mengalami stagnasi sehingga promotor dan musisi terdorong mencari bentuk penyelenggaraan baru berbasis teknologi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis konser virtual sebagai dinamika industri musik Indonesia sekaligus melihat bagaimana praktik tersebut merekonstruksi relasi komunikasi antara musisi dan audiens, dengan studi kasus Wave Djava Virtual Concert yang disiarkan melalui kanal YouTube Hellprint Official. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan yang dipilih secara purposif, observasi terhadap tayangan konser virtual di YouTube (termasuk karakteristik konten, jumlah penonton, dan interaksi di kolom komentar), serta studi literatur sebagai landasan konseptual. Analisis data dilakukan secara induktif dengan model Miles dan Huberman melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan-verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konser virtual membentuk segmen penonton baru dan memperlihatkan adaptasi musisi serta promotor terhadap teknologi digital, sehingga memperluas jangkauan audiens dan menjaga keberlanjutan aktivitas industri musik di masa krisis. Konser virtual juga merepresentasikan konvergensi media, di mana unsur komunikasi tetap berlangsung namun bergeser ke medium digital sehingga interaksi menjadi tidak langsung dan berpotensi tertunda. Selain itu, praktik ini menguatkan hubungan komunikasi parasosial melalui kedekatan emosional yang dibangun lewat fitur platform dan pola konsumsi daring, serta mendorong terbentuknya kebiasaan baru dalam menikmati pertunjukan musik.
