<![CDATA[Literasi Media bagi calon Tenaga Kerja Wanita yang akan berangkat ke luar negeri,
khususnya Asia pasifik merupakan sebuah langkah kecil untuk perubahan besar. Bentuk
pemberdayaan ini tentu saja membutuhkan perangkat pelatihan dan metode literasi media
yang cocok dengan tingkat pendidikan, sosial dan budaya calon TKW.Literasi media ini
menggunakan komik yang dirancang sebagai buku saku untuk calon TKW. Tujuan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan
literasi media melalui komik untuk Calon Tenaga Kerja Wanita Indonesia. Pendekatan
penelitian menggunakan studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data: wawancara
mendalam, studi dokumentasi dan observasi partisipatif. Penelitian berlangsung di PT. SBY
sebuah perusahaan Pengerah Tenaga Kerja Swasta (PPTKIS) di Kota Cirebon.Penelitian ini
dianalisis menggunakan Teori Konstruksi Realitas Sosial.

<![CDATA[Management of conflict and negotiation played an important role in solving a dispute. Both actions were not simple tasks in resolving conflicts since different points of view usually involve. This was what happened in the dispute of animal welfare issue between Bandung Zoo and Scorpion Wildlife Foundation. The dispute that became the focus of this article related to the accusation raised by the Scorpion Wildlife Foundation towards the Bandung Zoo in terms of animal welfare abandonment. The conflict between the two organizations has increased because the zoo did not accept the allegations and intended to bring the foundation to a legal court for the reason of defamation. This article looked at the use of the management of conflict and the negotiation to resolve this conflict by the Agency of Natural Resources of West Java as facilitator. The study used constructive case study method to chronologically construct the conflict and the use of negotiation. The results showed that the facilitator dominated the negotiation process, while the conflicting parties have not had any agreement to resolve the problem. The condition had a potential to be invalid any time if the dispute was not completely resolved.]]>

<![CDATA[The human-crocodile conflict frequently happens in Indonesia. Based on the data from http://www.crocodile-attack.info/, it is claimed that Indonesia is a country with the most cases of crocodile attacks. Mostly the attacks involved the saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus). On the other hand, this conflict is worsened by the spread of inaccurate information among communities. From October 2019 to October 2021, there were 12 false stories about crocodile attacks. These hoaxes were distributed on social media, causing fear to those who consumed the information. It is crucial to be investigated, especially from the perspective of environmental journalism. This study describes how mainstream media outlets tried to clarify the hoaxes. The results show many materials contained by information disorder, which need to be clarified by the media to ensure clarity and truth for the public. This study finds that most mainstream media still have their conscience to protect the public from false information. It was done by practicing curation journalism that includes the discipline of verification. In conclusion, the media and information sources need to have a good comprehension of crocodile behavior. The research also catches the need for environmental journalism training for media practitioners in Indonesia. Thus, the media will be able to offer the best solution for reducing the attack while at the same time giving adequate education for the public to live in harmony with Indonesian flora and fauna.]]>

<![CDATA[This study is conducted to find out how Magdalene.co as an alternative, gender sensitive media frames the issue of domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic. They use the victim’s perspective in reporting domestic violence amidst mainstream media’s tendencies to objectify victims and use sensationalism as a news frame. The study will be examined with a framing analysis method that explores four dimensions, namely problem definition, causal interpretation, moral evaluation and treatment recommendation, by using the theory concept of gender sensitive journalism and alternative media. This research is expected to help us identify and evaluate the role of alternative, gender sensitive media in reporting gender issues at critical times. The results showed that Magdalene.co is on the side of the victim by implementing the role of advocacy journalism, providing solutions, reviewing the root causes of domestic violence and explaining how pandemic situations hampered domestic violence services institutions to work in handling cases and made it difficult for victims to access help. Magdalene.co also has a unique standing point in framing conflict management aspects of domestic violence, because it discusses the importance of perpetrator’s rehabilitation instead of focusing solely on handling victims.]]>

<![CDATA[Video warga dalam program berita merupakan fenomena baru dalam perkembangan jurnalisme TV di Indonesia. Fenomena ini terkait teori Intermedia Agenda Setting, di mana media massa arus utama menganggap pentingnya informasi yang muncul di media sosial. Sebuah konten viral atau trending topik digunakan oleh media arus utama sebagai elemen daya tarik untuk meningkatkan rating dan share. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, artikel ini membahas kecenderungan 14 media penyiaran televisi Indonesia yang memanfaatkan video warga dan video viral media sosial dalam program siaran berita. Penulis mengumpulkan data program berita siaran dengan durasi Juni hingga Agustus 2021. Tujuh sampel program berita diambil secara acak dari masing-masing stasiun TV, masing-masing menyiarkan 20 hingga 30 cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan video warga terdapat pada aktivitas jurnalisme di stasiun TV Indonesia. Stasiun TV di Indonesia menyiarkan video warga sebagai bagian dari konten program siaran berita. Video warga yang disiarkan dalam program siaran berita berasal dari video yang dikirimkan warga kepada redaksi serta video yang viral di media sosial. Penerapan prinsip jurnalistik dalam konten video warga yang disiarkan di stasiun TV di Indonesia masih belum optimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pelaksanaan fungsi media massa, nilai berita, penilaian berita, aktualitas, faktualitas, serta penerapan etika dan aturan terkait. Studi ini merekomendasikan sinergi antara produsen video warga dan redaksi. Lemahnya video warga dalam menjangkau sumber resmi pemerintah untuk konfirmasi dan verifikasi perlu diantisipasi oleh redaksi yang memiliki kemampuan untuk melakukan itu. Dengan prosedur ini, video warga dapat terhindar dari berita palsu atau hoaks.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of technology continues to grow rapidly, with the presence of social media being one of the evidences of this technological advancement. The diversity of social media today also influences the types of content that can be presented on these platforms, one of which is video. In the video production process, a scriptwriter plays a crucial role. There are various types of videos, one of which is a feature video that covers a factual or real event. Producing a factual feature video can be achieved by applying reporting techniques to the scriptwriting process. Therefore, the role of the scriptwriter is very important, and the application of these reporting techniques is expected to assist in gathering the necessary facts and data to ensure that the resulting feature video is factual and truly reflects events occurring in society. The method used is a descriptive method, explaining based on the author's experience as a scriptwriter in creating feature videos. It is hoped that this writing can provide new insights into how to apply reporting techniques to feature video scriptwriting.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discussed the application of framing techniques during the video feature editing process, focusing on how framing influenced the presentation of the story to the audience. This study was motivated by the transformation of journalism in the digital era, where video features became one of the popular reporting formats. Video features allowed for an in-depth exploration of topics and provided broader context. Framing techniques were used to select and highlight certain aspects within the video, shaping audience perception and understanding. The video feature editing process involved several stages, including clip selection, emphasis on key aspects, exclusion of irrelevant elements, and the elaboration of additional information. This study employed a descriptive analytical method with a case study on the video feature “Kuliner Legendaris: Sukses Melintasi Dekade”. The analysis results showed that effective framing techniques could guide public opinion, build empathy, and encourage action from the audience. Video editors played a key role in applying framing techniques to ensure the story conveyed matched the narrative's purpose.]]>

<![CDATA[Background: Revival Rival shares videos through the YouTube channel “Asian Survival.” The video is about the situation in the latest transmigrant location in Tanjung Buka Settlement Unit (SP) 10, Tanjung Palas Tengah District, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan. He practiced citizen journalism by raising topics that were not touched by the mainstream mass media. Purpose: This research aims to discover how Asian Survivor conducts advocacy through its citizen journalism video content. Methods: This is descriptive research using several data collection techniques, namely content analysis, interviews, and literature studies. Results: The Asian Survivor advocacy is carried out through the production of video content consisting of four topics, namely, donation distribution, human interest, actual information, and inspiring profile. In addition, Revival Rival manages donations from viewers touched by the news shared by maintaining accountability through a personalized reporting process. Conclusion: Asian Survivor is an advocacy media for new transmigrants in Tanjung Buka SP 10 through a variety of video content presented as a picture of the life struggles of new transmigrants in marginalized areas; social criticism presented implicitly to maintain media sustainability and to raise donations from netizens sent to help the lives of transmigrants. Raising netizen donations for charitable activities is a form of social media monetization. Implications: This research has implications for further research on the power of utilizing YouTube channels as advocacy media based on citizen journalism. Another research development is related to the ethical issues of raising donations made by YouTube content as another form of monetization of social media accounts.]]>
