Abstract

Abstract

Speed is one of the important aspects of physical condition in athletics, especially those involving fast movements such as soccer. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Small Side Games training method in increasing speed in soccer players aged 17-18 years. The research method used is an experimental design with a pre-experimental approach (pre-test, post-test design), where speed measurements were taken before and after treatment. The subjects of the study consisted of 30 Persib Bandung Academy athletes who participated in training for 5 weeks with a total of 15 meetings. Training was given three times a week with the application of the progressive overload principle, namely increasing training volume through training duration. The results of the study showed that the application of Small Side Games training did not provide significant changes in increasing speed in soccer athletes aged 17-18 years. This finding provides an illustration that this training method may need further adjustment to increase its effectiveness in increasing speed.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of variations in Small-Sided Games (SSG) training methods on increasing anaerobic lactase capacity in U-17 soccer players by comparing the Pyramid and Interval methods. Using a quantitative pre-test and post-test experimental design, this study involved 20 players selected by purposive sampling, with anaerobic capacity measured through the Running-Based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST). The results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed that the Pyramid method significantly increased anaerobic lactase capacity, with a more significant decrease in Fatigue Index than the Interval method (p = 0.029, p < 0.05), indicating its effectiveness in maintaining explosive power and ATP-PCr regeneration. In contrast, the Interval method did not significantly increase (p = 0.598, p > 0.05). However, the Independent Sample T-Test results showed no significant difference between the two methods in increasing anaerobic capacity (p = 0.977). These findings suggest that both Pyramid and Interval methods can improve explosive power and ATP-PCr regeneration, with effectiveness that can be adjusted based on athlete needs and training strategies. In conclusion, the application of SSG as an effective and enjoyable training method, with further research involving larger samples, longer training durations, and additional analysis such as effect size to optimize training effectiveness. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of anxiety on the results of the futsal referee fitness test. Anxiety is a mental factor that can affect physical performance, especially in situations that require accuracy and fast reactions. The method used is quantitative by giving questionnaires to participants before the fitness test consisting of several types of tests, including the sprint test, Coda test, and Ariet test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between anxiety and the sprint test results (p = 0.052), indicating that anxiety did not directly affect the referee's sprint speed ability. However, there was a significant relationship with a positive direction between anxiety and the Coda test (p = 0.002, r = 0.431), meaning that the higher the level of anxiety, the more it affected the referee's performance in the agility test. Meanwhile, there was no significant relationship between anxiety and the Ariet test (p = 0.120), indicating that anxiety did not affect the referee's physical endurance. In conclusion, mental aspects, especially anxiety, can have an impact on the physical performance of futsal referees, especially in terms of agility. Therefore, in referee training, it is important to pay attention to anxiety management and mental readiness so that referees can perform optimally in leading the match.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between maximum strength and jump height and agility of badminton athletes. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach method with a correlational type. The sample in this study was the UPI Badminton UKM consisting of 12 athletes. The instruments used in this study were (1) Maximum strength test (maximum repetition), (2) Jump height test (Vertical jump), (3) Agility test (Shuttle run). Based on the Pearson correlation analysis, the results showed that maximum repetition had a significant positive relationship with vertical jump with a value of (r = 0.584, p = 0.065). Likewise, maximum repetition had a significant positive relationship with agility with a value of (p = -0.216, P = 0.501). However, the results of the regression analysis showed that these variables did not have a significant relationship with jump height and agility of badminton athletes. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that maximum strength training can help increase the jump height of badminton athletes. However, to improve agility, a more specific training strategy is needed that focuses on aspects other than maximal strength.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effects of Small-Sided Games (SSG) training with the Pyramid method on the improvement of alactic anaerobic capacity in U-17 Persib Academy football players. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design and applies the Running-Based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST) as a measurement tool. The research results indicate that the training intervention provided had a significant impact on the improvement of sprint speed, as reflected by the reduction in total sprint time and Fatigue Index in most participants. Statistical analysis through the normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test shows that the pre-test data has a value (p-value = 0.999 > 0.05), while the post-test data has a value (p-value = 0.221 > 0.05). Because both p-values (Sig.) > 0.05, the data are normally distributed. And the statistical analysis through the paired sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results (p-value = 0.029 < 0.05), confirming that SSG training is effective in improving anaerobic endurance and energy efficiency of the players. Conclusion, the small-sided games (SSG) method is recommended as a training strategy that can enhance the alactic anaerobic capacity in soccer players. Keywords: Anaerobic Alactacid, Fatigue Index, Football,  Small-Sided Games, Sprint.
