Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Small Side Game (SSG) training through mixed method training on increasing lactacid an-aerobic capacity in the sport of soccer. This research uses an experimental design with a pre-experimental approach. The research subjects were 50 Persib academy athletes aged 17-18 years. Researchers conducted pre-observation by carrying out an anaerobic lactacid test. The results obtained from initial observations stated that 10 athletes had low anaerobic lactacid levels, so the number of samples used in this study was 10 people and the technique used was purposive sampling. SSG training is applied with variations in intensity and duration, combined with mixed training methods involving anaerobic and aerobic loads. Lactacid anaerobic capacity was measured before and after the intervention using a 150 meter sprint test. Data were analyzed using inferential analysis statistical tests with t-test at a significance level of 5% to determine the significance of changes. The results showed that SSG training through mixed method training significantly increased the lactacid anaerobic capacity of the research subjects (p < 0.05). These findings can strengthen the effectiveness of Small Side Game (SSG) training through mixed method training on an-aerobic lactacid and the basis for developing training programs for coaches to improve athlete performance optimally.

Abstract

This study used an experimental design with a pre-experimental approach. The subjects of the study were Persib Academy athletes aged 17-18 years, totaling 50 people. The researcher conducted a pre-observation with an anaerobic lactase test. The results of the initial observation showed that 10 athletes had low anaerobic lactase levels, so the number of samples in this study was set at 10 people using a purposive sampling technique. Measurement of anaerobic lactase capacity was carried out before and after the intervention using a 150-meter sprint test. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical tests with a t-test at a significance level of 5% to determine the significance of the changes. The results showed a significant increase in the anaerobic lactase capacity of respondents, as measured by the 150-meter sprint test and post-exercise lactic acid levels. The significance value (sig. 2-tailed) of 0.032 <0.05 indicates a significant effect. Based on the basis of decision making, it can be concluded that small side game training with the pyramid method has a significant effect on increasing anaerobic lactase capacity in soccer athletes aged 17-18 years. This finding strengthens that the small side game training method through the pyramid method can effectively increase anaerobic lactase capacity in soccer sports in this age group.

Abstract

Speed is one of the important aspects of physical condition in athletics, especially those involving fast movements such as soccer. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Small Side Games training method in increasing speed in soccer players aged 17-18 years. The research method used is an experimental design with a pre-experimental approach (pre-test, post-test design), where speed measurements were taken before and after treatment. The subjects of the study consisted of 30 Persib Bandung Academy athletes who participated in training for 5 weeks with a total of 15 meetings. Training was given three times a week with the application of the progressive overload principle, namely increasing training volume through training duration. The results of the study showed that the application of Small Side Games training did not provide significant changes in increasing speed in soccer athletes aged 17-18 years. This finding provides an illustration that this training method may need further adjustment to increase its effectiveness in increasing speed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of training with interval, pyramid, and mix methods in small sided game (SSG) on increasing 30-meter speed. This study uses a quantitative design with a pre-test and post-test approach to compare the three training methods. The research sample consisted of 30 male soccer athletes aged 17 to 18 years from the Persib Bandung Academy who followed a 6-week training program. Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed using parametric statistics, after passing the normality, homogeneity, and paired sample t-test tests by showing results that met the requirements. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the interval, pyramid, and mix training groups in increasing 30-meter running speed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of anxiety on the results of the futsal referee fitness test. Anxiety is a mental factor that can affect physical performance, especially in situations that require accuracy and fast reactions. The method used is quantitative by giving questionnaires to participants before the fitness test consisting of several types of tests, including the sprint test, Coda test, and Ariet test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between anxiety and the sprint test results (p = 0.052), indicating that anxiety did not directly affect the referee's sprint speed ability. However, there was a significant relationship with a positive direction between anxiety and the Coda test (p = 0.002, r = 0.431), meaning that the higher the level of anxiety, the more it affected the referee's performance in the agility test. Meanwhile, there was no significant relationship between anxiety and the Ariet test (p = 0.120), indicating that anxiety did not affect the referee's physical endurance. In conclusion, mental aspects, especially anxiety, can have an impact on the physical performance of futsal referees, especially in terms of agility. Therefore, in referee training, it is important to pay attention to anxiety management and mental readiness so that referees can perform optimally in leading the match.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between maximum strength and jump height and agility of badminton athletes. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach method with a correlational type. The sample in this study was the UPI Badminton UKM consisting of 12 athletes. The instruments used in this study were (1) Maximum strength test (maximum repetition), (2) Jump height test (Vertical jump), (3) Agility test (Shuttle run). Based on the Pearson correlation analysis, the results showed that maximum repetition had a significant positive relationship with vertical jump with a value of (r = 0.584, p = 0.065). Likewise, maximum repetition had a significant positive relationship with agility with a value of (p = -0.216, P = 0.501). However, the results of the regression analysis showed that these variables did not have a significant relationship with jump height and agility of badminton athletes. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that maximum strength training can help increase the jump height of badminton athletes. However, to improve agility, a more specific training strategy is needed that focuses on aspects other than maximal strength.
