Abstract

Berdasarkan pengalaman peneliti yang telah mengajar statistika selama 4 tahun, diketahui bahwa materi yang digunakan selama ini berupa buku teks yang sulit dipahami. Kemudian hasil wawancara dengan 9 mahasiswa juga diperoleh informasi, secara umum mereka menyatakan kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang ada di buku ajar. Pembelajaran ini menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar yang ada belum efektif dan efisien, serta berdampak pada hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul statistik berbasis PjBL. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Plomp. Penelitian ini sampai tahap prototyping phase. Pada fase preliminary research yang dilakukan adalah menganalisis silabus, buku ajar, karakter mahasiswa, dan wawancara dengan dosen mata kuliah statistika. Sedangkan, fase prototyping, merancang bahan ajar dan divalidasi oleh dua validator. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah menghitung persentase produk yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase bahan ajar yang dikembangkan pada aspek didaktis, aspek isi, aspek kebahasaan dan aspek tampilan memiliki kriteria sangat valid. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini adalah valid.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SD yang termasuk dalam kategori lambat belajar yang menerapkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konstruktivisme dan konvensional. Peneliti mengolah data menggunakan program SPSS 16 for Windows dan Microsoft Office Excel 2007 untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa slow learner kelas V SDN Adabiah Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi dan wawancara dengan pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui pre-test dan post-test keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada akhir pembelajaran menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Konstruktivisme dan pembelajaran konvensional. Data tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah diperoleh dari 16 siswa, 8 siswa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Konstruktivisme, dan 8 siswa kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Data tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah diperoleh dari 16 siswa, 8 siswa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Konstruktivisme, dan 8 siswa kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Penerapan model pembelajaran ini terjadi peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, termasuk pemahaman perencanaan masalah untuk pemecahan masalah berupa pemecahan masalah dari penerapan beberapa konsep pembelajaran matematika. Bukti dari data skor gain yang dinormalisasi (N-gain) antara kedua kelas dapat dilihat.The purpose of this study is to study the improvement of problem-solving skills of elementary students who fall into the category of slow learners who apply to learn using constructivism and conventional learning models. The subjects in this study were students of slow learner class V Adabiah Padang Elementary School. Data collection techniques with observations and interviews with observation and interview guidelines. The problem-solving skills test data were obtained from 16 students, 8 experimental class students applying the Constructivism Learning Model, and 8 control class students who applied conventional learning. Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang sangat penting untuk dikuasai siswa. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis salah satunya adalah minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih adalah kelas XI AKL-2 SMK Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, angket minat belajar, dan pedoman wawancara. Soal tes pemecahan masalah dianalisis berdasarkan pengkategorian kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Angket minat belajar dianalisis berdasarkan kriteria pengelompokkan minat belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan tinggi sebanyak 10,53%. Siswa dengan minat belajar sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi sebanyak 21,05%. Siswa dengan minat belajar sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedang sebanyak 42,10%. Siswa dengan minat belajar sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah sebanyak 15,79%. Siswa dengan minat belajar rendah memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah sebanyak 10,53%.Math problem-solving skills are one of the competencies that are very important for students to master. Factors that affect mathematical problem-solving ability one of them is the student's learning interest. This research was conducted to analyze problem-solving skills reviewed from students' learning interests in math learning. This research uses descriptive methods with quantitative approaches. The study subjects were selected by purposive sampling. The selected research subjects were class XI AKL-2 SMK Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung school year 2021/2022. The instruments used to collect data are problem-solving skills tests, learning interest questionnaires, and interview guidelines. Problem solving tests are analyzed based on categorizing high, medium, and low problem-solving capabilities. Learning interest questionnaires are analyzed based on the criteria of grouping high, medium, and low learning interests. From the results of the study, students with a high interest in learning have high solving ability as much as 10.53%. Students with a moderate interest in learning have a high problem-solving ability of 21.05%. Students with a moderate interest in learning have a moderate problem-solving ability of 42.10%. Students with a moderate interest in learning have a low problem-solving ability of 15.79%. Students with low interest in learning have a low problem-solving ability of 10.53%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the influence of student independence and learning motivation on the problem-solving abilities of Padang State University students in Space Geometry Courses through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research method used is a survey with correlation and regression analysis. The population in this study was UNP students, with a sample of 23 students with purposive sampling techniques. Data on student independence and learning motivation is obtained through questionnaires. In contrast, the data of problem-solving capabilities are obtained through tests. The results of the data analysis found that the influence of independence and learning motivation on problem-solving ability was shown by a correlation coefficient of 0.642 and a coefficient of determination R2 of 37.8%, and regression line equation Y = 42.271 + 0.334 X1 + 0.404 X2. The testing analysis obtained that the confident correlation and regression coefficient is significant. This research proves that there is an influence of independence and student learning motivation together on students' problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze students' mathematical connection skills related to learning styles. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Luhak Nan Duo class VII.a in West Pasaman Regency. The subjects of this study were three students from 30 students of class VII.a with auditory, visual, and kinesthetic sensation learning styles. Qualitative descriptive research method, instrument in the form of a questionnaire to see learning styles and tests of mathematical connection skills. the results of the study concluded that the visual learning style in solving math problems did not use the relationship between mathematical ideas so the indicators of mathematical connection had not been achieved, studeand nts with auditory learning styles did not meet the indicators of mathematical connections related to mathematical ideas using relevant indicators related to mathematics, learning Sensory motor has perfect mathematical connection skills, the ability to generate consistent mathematical ideas.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan tingkat tinggi yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa.Dalam pembelajaran matematika, kemandirian belajar sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalahmatematis melalui pembelajaran daring di kelas VII. 4 SMPN 7 Padang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022 dikelas VIII.4SMPN 7 Padang.Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua jenis instrumen penelitian yaitu tes dan angket. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode angket dan metode tes. Analisa data menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan uji korelasi, hipotesis menggunakan uji t untuk mengetahui hubungan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalahmatematis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh ; 1) Persentase kemandirian belajar siswa tertinggi berada pada kategori sangat kuat yaitu sebanyak 71,9%; 2) Persentase kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa tertinggi pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 46,9%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan kemandirian belajar dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik.

Abstract

The utilization of technology applications in classroom learning is limited to the use of power points. The use of PowerPoint media, especially in three-dimensional material, has a less attractive presentation. Graphic representations and three-dimensional images in the learning process are mostly still made manually. Training on the use of Geogebra software for mathematics teachers is one solution to overcome the problems that occur to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers in designing and making three-dimensional images. The training is held for three months once a week. The training was carried out using a guidance method that aims to train teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Padang to be able to create three-dimensional images by utilizing Geogebra software and be able to apply them in the learning process. The results obtained in this activity are all teachers who participate in this activity can use Geogebra software in learning mathematics. The use of Geogebra software can overcome existing problems so that its use can help students understand abstract material concepts. Students are also able to explore, and conduct investigations and searches using Geogebra software and can test more examples in a short time rather than just using the manual method. Students can also find, construct, conclude and finally understand how to describe the shape of space correctly.

Abstract

Mathematical communication is a high level skill that students have acquired. Students' self efficacy is required to boost their learning confidence. The goal of this study was to see if there was a link between self efficacy and mathematical communication skills in Pesisir Selatan’s class VII D MTsN 13. This type of research is quantitative which is classified as correlational. The subjects of this study were 26 students were selected purposive sampling. A self efficacy test and a mathematical communication test were utilized to collect data in this study. This study’s data analysis method includes a simple linear regression test, a correlation test, and a hypothesis test utilizing the t test. Based the analysis it’s indicating that the linear relationship between X and Y is weak, and the analysis concluded that there is a weak but not significant relationship between self efficacy students’ mathematical communication skills in class VII D MTsN 13 Pesisir Selatan. After being traced through interviews, it was found that students were weak in understanding concepts, this was indicated by some students still confused with the use the right concepts in solving the problem given.

Abstract

The error analysis in this study is the error made by students in solving stories problems on the topic of a two-variable linear equation system based on the Newman procedure. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII B MTsN 13 Pesisir Selatan. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments used to collect data are tests and documentation. The results showed that the errors that were mostly made by students were encoding error of 34.64%, including the high enough category. Furthermore, the process skill error and are 30.46%, including the fairly high category. Meanwhile, the transformation error is 15.23%, including the small category. For the comprehension error of 15.23%, including the small category, and the reading error of 4.64% including the very small category. So, it can be concluded that the mistakes that many students make in story problems are two-variable linear equation system problems, encoding errors of 34.44% and the smallest errors made by students, reading errors of 4.64%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model were better than students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by applying conventional learning models. This research was motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving ability of students. This type of research was an experiment using a quantitative approach with a Noneequivalent posttest-only Control Group Design. The population of this study was all students of class XI Senior high school Negeri 1 Padang Gelugur. The technique used in this research was random sampling, so the sample of this research was class XI natural sciences major 1 as the experimental class and class XI natural sciences major 2 as the control class. The research instrument used was Post-test. The form of the test used was an essay with reliability of 0.399. Furthermore, the hypothesis was tested by a t-test. The results of hypothesis testing show that tcount > ttable was 7.17 > 1.67 so hypothesis one was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by implementing the CTL learning model were better than students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by applying conventional learning.
