Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat bertujuan memberikan pemahaman peserta terkait sistem proteksi kebakaran, terutama instalasi Sistem Alarm dan Deteksi Kebakaran, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan mengurangi risiko kebakaran di sekitarnya. Program ini dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Aulia Cendikia Palembang, lembaga pendidikan yang memiliki peran penting dalam membimbing generasi muda di wilayah tersebut. Program ini terdiri dari serangkaian sesi bimbingan teknis, termasuk pemaparan teori, demonstrasi praktik, dan sesi tanya jawab. Peserta terdiri dari siswa dan guru pendamping dari Pondok Pesantren Aulia Cendikia Palembang. Tim pelaksana terdiri dari Dosen, Instruktur, dan Taruna dari Program Studi Penyelamatan dan Pemadam Kebakaran program Diploma Tiga Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang. Proses pelaksanaan program mencakup pengaturan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3), sesi briefing, serta pemantauan ketat terhadap aktivitas peserta. Evaluasi kepuasan peserta dilakukan untuk mengukur respon positif terhadap program, dengan 100% peserta menyatakan persetujuan yang kuat. Namun, beberapa peserta mengusulkan perpanjangan durasi program dan peningkatan frekuensinya untuk mencakup kompetensi lain yang terkait. Saran-saran ini menjadi dasar untuk meningkatkan pelaksanaan program di masa mendatang. Program ini telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pencegahan kebakaran, memperkaya pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat, dan berhasil menyediakan pelatihan yang efektif untuk mengurangi risiko kebakaran, menghasilkan dampak positif yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penanganan terhadap bahaya kebakaran di Indonesia masih memiliki berbagai kendala yang mengakibatkan kejadian kebakaran sering berakibat fatal dan berulang. Adanya peningkatan jumlah kejadian kebakaran di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia disebabkan oleh beberapa hal, yaitu rendahnya pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya kebakaran. Untuk meminimalisasir kejadian kebakaran diperlukan kesiapsiagaan penghuni bangunan dalam mengantisipasi kebakaran. Tujuan dilaksanakan penyuluhan ini adalah setiap peserta diharapkan memiliki pengetahuan dasar terkait penanganan kebakaran di area sekitar asrama serta guna meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat pada umumnya terkait pencegahan dan perlindungan bahaya kebakaran. kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Pondok Pesantren Aulia Cendekia di Palembang dalam beberapa tahapan, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap penyuluhan dan aksi lapangan serta tahap evaluasi. Aspek kepuasan terhadap materi pelajaran mendapat nilai rata-rata 4,33 dan kemudian pada aspek kepuasan terhadap pelayanan panita penyelenggara mendapat nilai rata-rata 4,39. Adapun hasil evaluasi pembelajaran yang dilakukan terhadap peserta penyuluhan mendapat nilai rata-rata sebesar 86,13 (kualifikasi: baik sekali) dapat menjadi indikator bahwa tujuan kegiatan telah tercapai.

Abstract

Pemetaan Fotogrametri merupakan proses pemetaan objek-objek di permukaan dengan menggunakan foto udara yang bertampalan atau overlap sebagai media, dimana proses interpretasi dan pengolahan geometri dilakukan untuk manghasilkan peta orthofoto dan peta garis. Dalam pembuatan peta orthofoto dan peta garis dengan geometri dan skala yang benar maka dilakukan proses restitusi foto udara secara tunggal atau rektifikasi maupun secara stereo atau orthofoto, dimana proses ini memerlukan titik-titik referensi yang diketahui koordinatnya. Pengolahan data foto udara dilakukan menggunakan software dengan algoritma berbasis Structure Form Metion atau SFM yaitu metode pembentukan objek berdasarkan titik-titik dari foto yang bergerak. Software berbasis SFM dapat mengolah foto secara otomatis sesuai dengan parameter yang diinputkan oleh pengguna. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dimaksudkan sebagai implementasi bidang ilmu teknologi rekayasa bandar udara yang diharapkan memberi peningkatan hardskill untuk memenuhi kemampuan di dunia kerja bagi para peserta pelatihan. Kagiatan ini dilaksanakan selama satu hari dan para peserta diberikan pre-test dan post-test untuk melihat progress pengetahuan dan pemahaman terhadap materi yang diberikan.

Abstract

Low proficiency in technical English, especially radiotelephony communication, remains a major challenge among aviation cadets. This skill is a core requirement for Apron Movement Control (AMC) officers to ensure effective and safe ground operations. This study aims to examine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on improving AMC cadets’ Aviation English competence. A quantitative approach with a one–group pretest–posttest design was employed. The participants consisted of 48 cadets from class MBU 03 at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments and analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the Paired Sample T-test. The findings revealed a significant improvement in cadets’ competence, as indicated by an increase in the mean score from 215.52 (pretest) to 435.83 (posttest). The correlation test (r = 0.721; sig = 0.000) and the t-test (sig = 0.000 < 0.05) confirmed a statistically significant effect of CTL implementation. The results demonstrate that the CTL approach effectively enhances Aviation English competence by linking instructional materials with authentic operational contexts. This study introduces an innovative integration of CTL in Aviation English learning for AMC operations, offering a contextualized and industry-relevant model for vocational aviation education.

Abstract

The high rate of violence in official schools occurs because of the gap between juniors and seniors, which is triggered by the seniority hierarchy. The Zero Violence Program is an effort by BPSDM Transportation to create a school environment that is free from physical, verbal and psychological violence. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the Zero Violence program and the parenting patterns of cadet parents at the BPSDM Transportation official school. Type of quantitative research with a correlational approach, sample size 354, instrument testing with validity and reliability, data analysis techniques using IBM SPSS series 26 software with correlation test. The results of the correlation test research show a significant relationship between the Zero Violence Program variable and the parenting patterns of cadet parents at the BPSDM Transportation official school. Furthermore, the zero violence program is expected to become part of the daily culture for cadets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of using X-ray equipment as a practical media in improving the competence of students of the Airport Management Study Program. The research method uses a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at the Airport Management Study Programme, MBU 04 class. This research involved lecturers and students. The research subjects were selected using purposive sampling technique according to data needs. Data collection was conducted through three techniques, namely observation, interview, and documentation study. To analyse the data, this study adopted the Miles and Huberman model which includes four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of X-ray equipment can improve students' theoretical understanding and practical skills in terms of baggage security checks. Lecturers and students stated that hands-on practice with X-ray helped understand real airport security procedures. However, the study also identified some obstacles such as the limited number of equipment and the need for technological updates to adapt to modern airport standards that already use CT Scan systems and AI-based detection. The conclusion of this study is that X-ray equipment as a practical medium in learning can improve student competence.

Abstract

From a transport safety education perspective, aircraft parker guidance ensures aircraft move safely in busy and confined areas. In aviation, technological developments can be seen in driving aircraft parking at airports. The technology is called VDGS, which automatically performs parking guidance. Aircraft parking guidance with VDGS and marshaller services has its advantages and disadvantages. This study aims to measure the efficiency of VDGS and marshaller services in the aircraft parking guidance process. The research method used was descriptive quantitative, collecting data on the distribution of questionnaires to the research respondents, namely AMC personnel and marshallers, totaling 40 people using total sampling. The results of this study show that VDGS is more efficient than marshallers, with an average value of 78.89% higher than marshallers, with a value of 74.7%. The efficiency level of VDGS and marshaller was measured based on seven research indicators: time, precision, satisfaction, coordination, disruption, availability, and poor weather conditions or low visibility. The indicators in this study are a reference for measuring the level of efficiency that can describe the advantages of VDGS and marshallers. The indicators of the success of this study can be seen in the measurable efficiency value of VDGS and Marshaller aircraft parking services as well as efforts to improve the efficiency of marshaller services by increasing personnel competence.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui penaruh signifikan dari waktu pembelajaran taruna terhadap hasil belajar mata kuliah Matematika Teknik. Pendekatan menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode Survei. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah sampel bertujuan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Program Studi Diploma Tiga Penyelamatan dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PPKP), serta Program Studi Diploma Empat Teknik Rekayasa Bandar Udara (TRBU). Sampel terdiri dari 45 taruna yang mengikuti mata kuliah Matematika Teknik. Variabel bebas berupa waktu belajar, dan variabel terikat berupa hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan uji asumsi klasik dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji T pada tingkat signifikansi 0.05. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi untuk uji normalitas adalah 0.289, angka ini lebih besar daripada 0.05, mengindikasikan bahwa data memiliki distribusi yang berdistribusi normal. Uji heteroskedastisitas menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.416, yang juga melebihi angka 0.05, menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada tanda-tanda heteroskedastisitas dalam data. Selanjutnya, uji linier menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.592, melebihi ambang 0.05, mengimplikasikan bahwa data cocok dengan model linier. Melalui uji hipotesis menggunakan uji T, ditemukan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.559, angka ini lebih kecil dari 0.05 berakibat hipotesis nol (H0) diterima. Kesimpulannya, berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan waktu belajar taruna dengan terhadap hasil belajar Matematika Teknik.  Luarannya dipublikasikan Sinta 5, dijadikan Hak Atas Kekayaan Intelektual (HAKI) dan laporan penelitian. Kata Kunci: Waktu Belajar; Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of technical skills among vocational high school students in Palembang through basic application development training. The training, conducted on May 29, 2024, at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang, involved 20 students from grades X, XI, and XII. The training aimed to provide foundational knowledge in creating simple applications using software like XAMPP and WordPress, essential tools for web application development. The program included theoretical instruction, practical application, pre-test and post-test evaluations, and hands-on coding sessions. The pre-test results indicated a moderate understanding of the subject, with an average score of 64.45. Post-training assessments showed significant improvement, with an average post-test score of 90. The N-gain score analysis revealed that 65% of the participants demonstrated a high level of improvement, while 35% showed moderate improvement. The training successfully enhanced the students' technical skills in programming and application development, equipping them with the knowledge to create simple cashier applications, crucial for small and medium enterprises. This hands-on approach to learning fostered creativity and innovation, providing students with practical skills to meet the demands of the modern workforce. This initiative not only fulfilled the educational objectives of SMK but also aligned with the broader goal of community service by higher education institutions, showcasing a successful model of vocational training in application development

Abstract

Qurban is not only a religious ritual with spiritual significance but also an instrument of Islamic philanthropy that strengthens social solidarity and community welfare. At the same time, qurban activities involve various operational hazards that require the implementation of a safety culture. This community service program aimed to implement the Safe Qurban model by integrating collective philanthropy and aviation safety culture into the organization of Qurban 1447 H at Baitul Ilmi Mosque, Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. The program was carried out through several stages, including fundraising through the Shodaqoh Qurban Program, hazard identification, safety planning, qurban implementation, benefit distribution, and program evaluation. The results demonstrated that collective philanthropy successfully broadened community participation in qurban activities through collaborative contributions while fostering social solidarity, empathy, and mutual assistance. The application of safety culture was reflected in hazard identification, risk control, safety communication, clear task allocation, and emergency preparedness throughout the implementation process. The integration of these two approaches generated broader social benefits while simultaneously enhancing safety awareness among all participants. The program resulted in the development of the Safe Qurban model as an innovative community service approach that combines the values of Islamic philanthropy with safety culture practices adapted from the aviation sector. This model has the potential to be replicated in other social and community-based activities involving multiple stakeholders and operational risks.
