Abstract

Internal locus of Control needs to be owned by every individual, including students. Individuals who oriented in internal locus of control will believe that they have a major role to influence events related to their lives. A strategy that can be used to forming internal locus of control is group counseling by using cognitive behavioral approach. The purpose of this research was to reveal the effectiveness of group counseling by using cognitive behavioral approach in forming internal locus of control. This research was experimental research with pretest and post-test control group design. The sample had been chosen by using purposive sampling. The instrument that had been used was Internal Rotters’ inventory -External Locus of Control (I-E Scale). Data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Samples. The findings of this research were: (1) there was a difference of locus of control in experimental group students before and after being treated; (2) there was a difference of locus of control in control group before and after being treated; and (3) there was a difference in students’ locus of control in experiment and control group.Keywords:  group counseling, cognitive behavioral, internal locus of control.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak has the potential to affect the mental health of medical personnel. This study aimed to investigate the anxiety experienced by medical personnel during the COVID-19 outbreak and its correlation with individual work performance. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 501 Medical Personnel in Indonesia. Anxiety level and work performance were assessed by the GAD-7 and IWP-1.0. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistics, Man-Whitney test, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Spearman's Rank-Order Correlation. The results showed that 33.33% of the participants did not experience anxiety, followed by moderate, mild, and severe levels (31.14%, 27.74%, and 7.78%). Furthermore, the level of anxiety was different in terms of sex, age, and type of medical personnel, while there was no difference in the length of time of work. The results of the correlation analysis showed that anxiety was correlated with task performance and contextual performance, but there was no correlation with the counter-productive work behavior. There is a crucial need for psychological assistance to medical personnel in orders to reduce their anxiety as well as improve their performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: a description of the average condition score of activities responding to students in learning before and after treatment guidance services are given; and the effectiveness of group guidance services to improve student response activities in learning. This research uses quantitative methods. This type of research is pre-experimental, using the one group pre-test post-test design. The selection of subjects in this study uses a non-random sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. The subjects of this study were ten people and were treated for six meetings. The instrument used was the Responding scale Rizky Andana Pohan Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistical techniques using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 17.00. The research findings show that in general group guidance services are effective in increasing response activities in learning, while specifically this study describes: there are differences in the average score of student response activities before and after group guidance services are provided. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the activities of responding to students in learning can be improved through group guidance services.

Abstract

Academic procrastination understood as maladaptive behavior that can hinder academic success. Guidance and counseling implementation is can contribute to reduce the students academic procrastination. The service is can be optimally, the team assisted individualization of learning models combined in class format. This research uses quantitative methods. This type of study design is a Quasi Experiment with the design of the non-equivalent control group. The population are students MTS Negeri Koto Tangah Padang selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to collect data using a scale, then analyzed using Wilcoxson Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov 2 Independent the samples. The findings of this research are, differences significant on academic procrastination the experiment group before and after the learning model technique team assisted individualization, There are differences in the control group on academic procrastination before and after the conventional learning model, and there are differences in the experiment group which given learning model technique team assisted individualization and the control group which given information service, learning model team assisted individualization technique can significantly reduce the students academic procrastination, it was can be used for a variety of problems related with learning activities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by teenage emotional turmoil and adolescent problem is generally caused by social role conflict, aggressive behavior is a manifestation of anger. This study aims to: (1) describe anger, (2) describe aggressive behavior in adolescents, (3) examine how correlated anger and aggressive behavior in adolescents. This research uses quantitative method of correlational descriptive type. The population of the study were all students of MTsS Lab.IKIP Al Washliyah Medan which amounted to 409 people, a sample of 203 people, selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used the Likert scale model to measure anger correlation with aggressive behavior in adolescents. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, correlation. using Pearson Correlation. The research findings show that: (1) angry picture is in moderate category, (2) description of aggressive behavior is in medium category, (3) angry relationship with aggressive behavior in adolescent correlation of 0.229 and significance level 0,001. The implications of these research results can be used as input to create a program of guidance and counseling services that can control anger and self-control in behaving aggressively in students aged teenagers at MTs.S Lab IKIP Al Washliyah Medan.

Abstract

Natural phenomena that hit parts of Aceh Province became a serious concern, fears of post-traumatic stress disorders experienced by children.  Therefore, readiness to deal with natural disasters is considered important to be studied. Emotion focused coping is a cognitive process that focuses on reducing emotional stress and includes strategies such as, minimizing, avoiding, selective attention, positive comparisons, and taking positive and negative values from an event.  This study aims to describe the emotion focused coping of Darul Abrar orphanage students in the readiness to deal with natural disasters. This study uses a quantitative approach.  The study population was 595 orphanage students. The orphanage students sampled in this study were 240 people, selected by proportional random sampling technique.  The instrument used is the Likert scale. The first, second and third research objectives were analyzed by percentage techniques, the fourth and fifth research objectives were analyzed by linear regression.Keywords: Emotion Focused Coping, Natural Disaster Preparedness, Orphanage

Abstract

Mata kuliah model-model konseling merupakan mata kuliah yang mempersiapkan pesertadidik sebagai calon Dosen BK atau calon konselor dengan ilmu teori dan praktek tentangbagaimana mengaplikasikan teknik-teknik konseling individu yang menunutut keahliandalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang sedang dialami oleh individu. Oleh karena itu,perlu metode khusus agar peserta didik mampu memahami secara komprehensif tentangmata kuliah model-model konseling. Upaya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman pesertadidik yakni dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran team assisted individualization.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan: perbedaan prokrastinasi akademikmahasiswa kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti team assistedindividualization, perbedaan perbedaan kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan modelpembelajaran teknik team assisted individualization dan kelompok kontrol yang diberikanmodel pembelajaran tanpa teknik team assisted individualization. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode kuantitatif. Jenis desain penelitian ini adalah the one group pretest- posttes design. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik UMN Al washliyah, dipilihmenggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkandata menggunakan tes pemahaman yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti, data dianalisisdengan menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test.

Abstract

Upaya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa yakni dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran team assisted individualization. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Jenis desain penelitian ini adalah the one group pretest - posttes design. Subjek penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Temuan penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan teknik team assisted individuallization. Melalui teknik team assisted individualization dapat meningkatkan pemehaman mahasiswa, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk berbagai permasalahan terkait dengan kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 membuat tatanan kehidupan manusia terganggu akan kedatangannya. Dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh pandemi covid-19 memaksa individu dalam bersikap adaptif pada kondisi psikologis. Berbagai persoalan psikologis muncul akibat pandemi covid-19, tidak semua individu mampu bertahan dengan kondisi yang baik. Fenomenanya tidak semua individu memiliki kemampuan resiliensi yang memadai, sehingga akan berdampak pula pada kecemasan. Kecemasan akan timbul apabila ada peristiwa buruk yang dialami oleh individu yang belum terselesaikan. Gangguan psikologis yang muncul disebabkan oleh kecemasan dapat terefleksi pada behavior, kognitif, dan fisik. Oleh sebab itu kecemasan sepatutnya perlu adanya penangan atau terapi khusus untuk mereduksi dampak yang muncul. Salah satu variabel yang dapat mereduksi kecemasan adalah emotion focused coping. Emotion focused coping merupakan suatu tindakan untuk mengurangi tekanan psikologis yang muncul oleh stressor. Naskah ini akan mendeskripsikan emotion focused coping dalam mereduksi kecemasan pada masa pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Prosocial behavior is a voluntary act actualized in the attitude of getting rid of personal interests in providing benefits to other individuals. This study aims to analyze: To find out the description of prosocial behavior, to find out differences in prosocial behavior in terms of socio-economic conditions, to find out differences in students' prosocial behavior in terms of gender, to find out differences in students' prosocial behavior in terms of culture, and to find out differences in students' prosocial behavior. in terms of the interaction between culture, socio-economic conditions, gender. This type of research is a descriptive comparative research that uses comparative analysis techniques. The population of this research is the students of SMP Islam Hands as many as 123 people. The students who were used as samples in this study were 123 people. The instrument used is a Likert scale. Hypothesis testing in research to see differences in prosocial behavior in terms of socioeconomic status, gender and majors will use a three-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
