Abstract

Fertilization is a crucial aspect in increasing the productivity of soybean (Glycine max L.), both in terms of vegetative growth and yield. Organic fertilizers, such as compost and manure, play a long-term role in improving the physical, chemical, and biological structure of the soil, increasing microbial activity, and gradually supporting nutrient availability (Widodo et al., 2018; Yang et al., 2004). Meanwhile, inorganic fertilizers such as urea, NPK, and SP-36 provide nutrients quickly and efficiently, thereby accelerating plant growth and increasing yields in a relatively short time (Putra Manik et al., 2019). However, excessive use of inorganic fertilizers can lead to decreased soil fertility and environmental pollution (Nugroho et al., 2017). Several studies indicate that the combination of organic and inorganic fertilization can create synergy that increases nutrient uptake efficiency, improves soil quality, and supports sustainable plant productivity (Migunansyah, 2009; Khaerunisa, 2013). Therefore, an integrated fertilization strategy is highly recommended in an environmentally friendly soybean cultivation system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of B2 urine, a liquid organic fertilizer produced by fermented cow urine, on the growth and yield of peanut plants (Arachis hypogaea L.). Cow urine contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and bioactive compounds that support plant growth organically. The method used was a literature review and secondary data analysis from previous studies with various doses of B2 urine application. Parameters observed included plant height, number of pods, and dry seed weight per plant. The results showed that a dose of B2 urine of around 3,000–6,000 L/ha had a positive effect on vegetative growth, especially leaf number and plant height. In addition, the combination of biourine with other organic fertilizers significantly increased seed production. The use of B2 urine has been shown to support environmentally friendly agricultural practices and reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effects of various types of organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of peanuts (Arachis hypogaea). Several studies have shown that the application of organic fertilizers—such as chicken manure, rice straw compost, and liquid organic fertilizer (POC)—significantly increases the vegetative and generative growth of plants. This occurs because organic fertilizers improve soil structure, increase water retention capacity, and provide essential nutrients such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). The combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers is known to produce yields up to 59.43% higher than without fertilizer. In addition, the use of organic fertilizers supports environmental sustainability and increases the activity of soil microorganisms that play a role in the decomposition and mineralization of nutrients. Therefore, the use of organic fertilizers is an important strategy in realizing a sustainable and productive agricultural system.

Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a primary food commodity vital to achieving national food security in Indonesia. However, challenges to increasing rice productivity, such as land degradation, climate change, and limited human resources, pose significant obstacles. The application of modern cultivation technologies is a strategic solution to address these challenges. Innovations such as new superior varieties (VUB), precision irrigation, agricultural mechanization, the jajar legowo (sequence planting system), and digital-based technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and drones have been proven to increase rice production efficiency and yields. System of Rice Intensification (SRI) technology, for example, has shown yield increases of up to 20–50% compared to conventional methods. Furthermore, mechanized harvesting and planting can reduce labor costs and accelerate production times. This study uses a literature review approach to identify the role and impact of modern cultivation technologies on rice productivity in Indonesia. The results indicate that synergy between technology, training, and policy support is essential for widespread and sustainable technology adoption. Thus, the use of modern cultivation technologies has significant potential to support food self-sufficiency and improve farmer welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the use of organic farming technology in the cultivation of environmentally friendly food crops. The research method is based on a review of previous studies, using a literature study approach. The data collected came from literature sources, through the process of reading, recording, and managing research materials. The data sources were taken from existing journals or articles and books related to agriculture. The observations focused on plant growth and soil conditions during the planting period, as well as assessing the extent to which organic technology was successfully applied in various regions in Indonesia. The results showed that organic farming provides positive benefits to soil health, such as increasing organic matter content, increasing microbial activity, and improving soil structure. In addition, this agricultural system also has a high economic value because its products can be sold at higher prices, both in domestic and foreign markets. Socially, the implementation of organic farming encourages people to participate in activities such as composting and natural pest management training. Thus, organic farming not only helps keep the environment sustainable, but also strengthens the economic and social resilience of farmers in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Rhizobium merupakan bakteri pengikat nitrogen yang mampu meningkatkan ketersediaan nitrogen di dalam tanah melalui hubungan simbiosis dengan akar tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran Rhizobium dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan nitrogen pada tanaman kacang hijau (Vigna radiata L.). Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (literature review), dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai sumber seperti buku, artikel jurnal, dan laporan penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tanaman kacang hijau yang diinokulasi Rhizobium memiliki efisiensi pemanfaatan nitrogen yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan tanaman tanpa inokulasi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa Rhizobium berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan ketersediaan nitrogen bagi tanaman. Artikel ini menekankan pentingnya pemanfaatan Rhizobium dalam sistem pertanian berkelanjutan, terutama untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman pada lahan dengan keterbatasan unsur hara. Kata kunci: Rhizobium, kacang hiaju, efisiensi nitrogen, fiksasi nitrogen biologis, pertanian berkelanjutan

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Pembuatan POC Ecoenzym ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Masyarakat khususnya Kelompok Tani Wanita Helewado Di Desa Ambukha dalam mengelolah limbah kulit nenas menjadi POC. Permasalahan yang dihadapi Masyarakat Ambukha adalah tingginya ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia sintesis, dan kurangnya pemanfaatan limbah organik lokal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode edukatif-partisipatif, yang terdiri atas penyuluhan, pelatihan dan praktik langsung pembuatan pupuk. Sebanyak 23 peserta mengikuti kegiatan yang difokuskan pada pengolahan limbah kulit nenas melalui fermentasi anaerob selama 90 hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran masyarakat akan pertanian ramah lingkungan. Keterbatasan inovasi ini adalah waktu fermentasi cukup panjang, tetapi meskipun begitu penerapan Ecoenzyme dari limbah kulit nenas menjadi solusi alternatif dalam mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan sekaligus mendukung ketahanan pangan lokal.

Abstract

Minat generasi muda terhadap sektor pertanian menunjukkan tren penurunan, yang menjadi tantangan dalam regenerasi petani di masa depan. Upaya pengenalan pertanian sejak usia dini melalui pendekatan edukatif menjadi langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman anak-anak terhadap pentingnya pertanian. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penyuluhan agroedukasi interaktif dalam meningkatkan literasi pertanian dasar di kalangan siswa SD Negeri 071085 Ambukha. Metode yang digunakan mencakup penyampaian materi secara komunikatif, interaktif, serta praktik lapangan seperti menanam dan merawat tanaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep pertanian, serta tumbuhnya sikap tanggung jawab dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Program ini terbukti mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang aktif dan menyenangkan, serta berpotensi dijadikan model edukatif bagi sekolah lain di wilayah pedesaan.

Abstract

Program magang budidaya kangkung (Ipomoea reptans) di Desa Ambukha bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi praktis mahasiswa Agroteknologi melalui pendekatan praktik langsung. Kegiatan ini mencakup seluruh tahapan budidaya, mulai dari pengolahan lahan, penanaman dengan sistem tugal, pemeliharaan, hingga panen. Metode penyiraman dua kali sehari dan pemupukan organik mendukung pertumbuhan optimal. Hasil panen sebanyak 30 ikat dari lahan 100 m² menunjukkan keberhasilan metode yang digunakan. Mahasiswa juga memperoleh pemahaman tentang pertanian berkelanjutan serta berinteraksi langsung dengan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini menjadi implementasi nyata Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, khususnya dalam pendidikan dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Keberhasilan magang ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem pertanian sederhana dapat diterapkan secara efektif untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan lokal dan memberdayakan masyarakat

Abstract

Mangrove forests are ecosystems that have ecological and economic functions. The ecological functions of mangrove forests include protecting coastlines, preventing sea water intrusion, habitat, feeding ground, nursery ground, spawning ground for aquatic biota and as a climate regulator. micro. This research aims to determine the structure of the mangrove community and mangrove density. This research was conducted in Teluk Belukar Village, North Gunungsitoli District, North Gunungsitoli City, North Sumatra in August 2023. Research activities were carried out by creating a plot measuring 10x10 m2. Each plot contains the size categories of tree (10x10 m2), sapling (5x5 m2) and seedling (1x1 m2). There are 24 types of mangroves found at the research location. The highest value of mangrove species density (Di) obtained at the research location was at the seedling level of 160,000 ind/ha.
