Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of learning using inquiry strategies assisted by academic blogs on the 21st century skills of students in the Physics Education Study Program at IKIP PGRI Pontianak. This research is a pre-experimental design research with a One group pretest-posttest design. The sample used was all 18 fifth semester students. The data collection technique is to determine conceptual abilities using tests, while to determine 21st century skills, namely 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity) using observation techniques. The data collection tools used were test questions and observation sheets. Based on data analysis, it is known that there is a significant increase in students' understanding of concepts before and after learning in the high category. Students master 21st century skills, namely critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity in the high category in every lesson. The academic blog-based inquiry learning model is innovative in improving the quality of physics learning in the 21st century educational era.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Learner Worksheets (LKPD) containing concept mapping based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the material of the human circulatory system to improve the concept understanding of class VIII students at SMPN 14 East Pontianak. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The instruments used include expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and concept understanding tests. The data produced were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the developed LKPD was valid and feasible to use based on the assessment of material experts, media experts, and educational practitioners. Students' responses to the LKPD were also very positive, with high average scores on the aspects of ease, attractiveness, and usefulness. The application of LKPD in PBL-based learning shows a significant increase in students' concept understanding, as seen from the test results before and after using LKPD. Thus, this concept mapping and PBL-based LKPD is effective to be used as learning media to help students understand the material of human circulatory system

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide skills to physics teachers at the Pontianak City Physics MGMP to develop practical-based learning and STEM Phase F applications. The method of implementing PKM is training and mentoring. The stages of implementing PKM consist of stage 1) preparation; stage 2) socialization which includes activities of resource person presentation, discussion, and question and answer; and stage 3) implementation and mentoring, which includes activities; and 4) monitoring and evaluation. This activity succeeded in increasing teachers' insight and skills about the implementation of STEM Phase F in practical-based learning activities. In addition, teachers' skills in compiling STEM-based learning devices also increased. This program succeeded in introducing the application of STEM in practical-based Physics learning in the Lab. The positive response of participants showed motivation to apply STEM and partnerships between universities and schools as the first step to creating an innovative and sustainable learning environment. This PKM produced outputs, namely news in the online mass media of the KALBAR Regional Government
