Abstract

This study seeks to uncover the intricacies of Islamic thought and the issues that lead to religious polemics in Indonesia. Utilizing a narrative ethnographic approach, this study examines the polemic of religious thought among the “New Islam” groups, namely Jama'ah Tabligh, Wahdah Islamiyah, and former Hizbut Tahrir, as well as “old Islam” (PMII and Ansor) by taking the Gorontalo context. which was carried out in July-September 2021. within the context of Gorontalo. Data were collected from July to September 2021. The findings indicate that the polemics among Muslims primarily revolve around the topic of khilafiyah, such as practices like tahlilan and the issue of wishing Merry Christmas, and extend to ideological matters. This polemic occurs among Muslims affiliated with groups or organizations that possess an epistemological basis of the extreme right (fundamental) in contrast to those with a left (liberal) epistemological basis.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the Saronde dance skills of fifth-grade students at SDN No. 67 Kota Timur, Gorontalo City through the application of the drill method. The background of this research stems from the low level of students’ ability to perform the Saronde dance in terms of technique, expression, and mastery of movements. Therefore, a learning method that can effectively and sustainably enhance students’ dance skills is needed. The drill method was chosen because it provides repeated practice that reinforces movement mastery. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 20 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and performance assessments based on established competency indicators.In the initial observation, only 6 students (30%) met the performance indicators. After the first cycle, the number increased to 7 students (35%). However, this result did not meet the success criteria of 75%, necessitating a second cycle of intervention. In the second cycle, a significant improvement was observed, with 18 students (90%) achieving the performance indicators. This result exceeds the predetermined success criteria and demonstrates that the drill method is effective in enhancing students' Saronde dance skills, particularly in movement accuracy, expression, and synchronization. Through repeated practice, students became more confident and were able to perform the dance more proficiently.In conclusion, the implementation of the drill method proved successful in improving the Saronde dance skills of fifth-grade students at SDN No. 67 Kota Timur, Gorontalo City. It is hoped that this research can serve as a reference for developing dance education in elementary schools. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan seni tari Saronde pada siswa kelas V SDN No. 67 Kota Timur, Kota Gorontalo melalui penerapan metode drill. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menarikan tari Saronde, baik dari segi teknik, ekspresi, maupun penguasaan gerakan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keterampilan siswa secara efektif dan berkelanjutan. Metode drill dipilih karena mampu memberikan latihan berulang yang dapat memperkuat penguasaan gerak tari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan penilaian kinerja siswa berdasarkan indikator ketercapaian kompetensi. Pada observasi awal, hanya 6 siswa (30%) yang mencapai indikator kinerja yang telah ditetapkan. Setelah tindakan pada siklus I, jumlah siswa yang memenuhi indikator meningkat menjadi 7 siswa (35%). Namun, hasil ini belum memenuhi indikator keberhasilan tindakan yang ditetapkan, yaitu 75%, sehingga dilakukan tindakan lanjutan pada siklus II. Pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan signifikan. Sebanyak 18 siswa (90%) berhasil mencapai indikator kinerja, yang berarti telah melampaui kriteria keberhasilan yang ditentukan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa metode drill efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan seni tari Saronde siswa, terutama dalam hal ketepatan gerakan, ekspresi, dan kekompakan. Dengan latihan yang berulang, siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri dan mampu menampilkan tarian dengan lebih baik. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode drill terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan seni tari Saronde pada siswa kelas V di SDN No. 67 Kota Timur Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan pembelajaran seni tari di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This research aims to improve Civic Education (PKn) learning outcomes regarding the application of Pancasila values ​​through the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model in class IV at SDN 8 Kabila, Bone Bolango Regency. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects consisted of 15 class IV students. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, and documentation. The research results show that implementing the PJBL model can increase student involvement in learning and their understanding of Pancasila values. Students are more active in discussions and collaboration when working on projects, which leads to significant improvements in learning outcomes. Apart from that, the PJBL model also helps students to relate the concept of Pancasila to real situations in everyday life. Thus, the application of the Project Based Learning model has proven to be effective in improving Civics learning outcomes and forming good student character in accordance with Pancasila values. It is hoped that this research can be a reference for teachers in implementing more interactive and relevant learning methods. The learning outcomes of students in cycle I who reached the KKM in Civics subject content were 6 students with a percentage of 55%. Meanwhile, in cycle II there was an increase of 13 students with a percentage of 87%. The conclusion in this research is that using the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model can improve student learning outcomes in class IV at SDN 8 Kabila, Bone Bolango Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to develop cultural album media on cultural diversity material at SDN 6 Wonosari. Learning in schools is inadequate and there is no educative learning media, so far learning has only been based on book texts or student books so that with these problems it is necessary to carry out research into the development of Indonesian cultural album media. The aim of this research is to develop learning media and test the feasibility of the Archipelago Culture Album learning media on cultural diversity material for fourth grade elementary school students. This development research uses a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). To test the suitability of the Indonesian cultural album media, validation was carried out by a team of experts. Data collection uses instruments in the form of questionnaires, interviews, observation sheets and documentation. The Nusantara Culture Album media contains content on Indonesia's cultural diversity which includes traditional clothing, traditional houses, traditional dances and regional specialties. The research results showed that the feasibility level of media experts was 97.7% (very feasible), material experts were 100% (very feasible), user experts were 95.8% (very good). Thus, the percentage obtained by recapitulating the average percentage value is 97.87%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Archipelago Cultural Album media developed is feasible and effective for use as a learning medium in increasing students' understanding of Indonesia's cultural diversity in class IV elementary schools.

Abstract

The research aims to understand the role of teachers in implementing the hypnoteaching method in the Civics Education (PKn) subject for third and fifth grades at SDN 13 Kwandang. The type of research used is qualitative, and the data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the hypnoteaching method at SD Negeri 13 Kwandang plays a significant role in enhancing the learning process, especially in fifth grade. This method combines hypnosis techniques with teaching to create a conducive classroom atmosphere, making students more open and receptive. By using subtle hypnosis techniques, teachers can help students achieve a relaxed state, which enhances memory retention and positive learning experiences. Additionally, hypnoteaching fosters a more harmonious learning environment, allowing students to feel safe to actively participate in discussions. Through this approach, students not only learn academically but also develop emotional well-being and good character. The use of this method contributes to increased interest and motivation among students in the Civics Education (PKn) subject. When teaching is conducted interactively and relevant to everyday life, students tend to be more engaged and enthusiastic about understanding the material. Teachers play the role of facilitators who create a safe and engaging learning atmosphere, encouraging students to express their opinions confidently. With this comprehensive approach, hypnoteaching not only enhances the effectiveness of learning but also helps students become active and responsible citizens. This method demonstrates great potential in supporting a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the existence of symbolic violence hidden behind the use of school uniforms at the elementary school level using Pierre Bourdieu's perspective, especially the concept of habitus in education. School uniforms, which are generally considered a tool to create equality and discipline, also turn out to be a medium of symbolic domination that reproduces social inequality. The approach to this research is a literature study with a descriptive-qualitative method, analyzing how school uniforms, as cultural symbols, contribute to the internalization of dominant values ​​by students. The results of the study indicate that school uniforms function as a device that strengthens the legitimacy of certain social norms, creating the illusion of equality among students. However, differences in socio-economic background remain visible through additional attributes, such as the quality of uniform materials, cleanliness, and accessories, which reflect the economic capital of students' families. This causes students from less dominant social groups to often feel inadequate or unequal, internalizing their subordinate positions. Educational institutions reinforce this symbolic violence through strict rules governing the use of uniforms, making symbolic domination seem natural and legitimate. This study emphasizes the importance of examining symbols in education, such as uniforms, which are often considered neutral but actually function as tools of domination. By understanding the symbolic violence behind school uniforms, it is hoped that a more equitable education system can be built, which not only creates formal uniformity but also embraces inclusivity and social justice.

Abstract

This research aims to analyses the role of teachers in managing student learning outcomes at SDN 8 Dungaliyo, Gorontalo. Using a qualitative and phenomenological approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations, significantly contribute to the improvement of student learning outcomes. The use of formative and summative assessments helps teachers provide constructive feedback to enhance students' understanding. Furthermore, effective classroom management and a positive learning environment increase student engagement. Parental involvement and the utilization of technology also prove to be important in supporting the learning process. This study concludes that collaboration among teachers and a differentiated approach in identifying students' learning needs can enhance the quality of education. However, the challenges of managing diverse student abilities require special attention from educators to ensure that each student can achieve their maximum potential.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Ahaslides at SDN 5 Mootilango, Gorontalo, using the Research and Development (R&D) methodology. The development process follows the 4-D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. In the define stage, the researcher identifies the needs for effective learning media. During the design stage, the researcher creates 20 slides covering the general definition of norms, religious norms, politeness, indecency, and law, as well as interactive videos and quizzes. The develop stage involves creating and testing the media to ensure its functionality, while the disseminate stage focuses on distributing and utilizing the media among teachers and students. Evaluation results indicate that this interactive learning media allows teachers to monitor student participation in real-time. From the feasibility validation conducted by three expert validators in the fields of content, media, and psychology, the Ahaslides media received an average score of 95.56%, indicating that it is highly suitable for use. This research makes a significant contribution to the development of interactive and effective teaching methods, offering innovative solutions to enhance student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of teachers in enhancing student learning motivation at SDN 9 Kwandang, Gorontalo Utara Regency. Teachers are responsible not only for delivering lesson material but also for building students' character and motivation. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers at SDN 9 Kwandang play a crucial role in creating a positive learning environment through creative and interactive teaching methods. They also provide emotional and academic support to students and relate lesson material to students' everyday lives to enhance the relevance of learning. The involvement of parents in the educational process is also identified as an important factor influencing students' learning motivation. These findings indicate that by understanding and applying appropriate strategies, teachers can significantly enhance students' learning motivation, which in turn contributes to better academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the EDUCARD (Education Uno Card) learning media that meets the criteria of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in Civic Education (PKn) to improve student learning outcomes on the meaning and values of Pancasila in grade IV at SDN 13 Tilamuta. This research is a development study using the ADDIE development research model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of the EDUCARD media was tested through validation by a team of experts. The validation results indicate that this media received an average percentage of 96.80%, categorized as very feasible for use by teachers and students in elementary schools. To test practicality, the researcher used a teacher observation sheet, which showed a total score of 39 out of a maximum score of 40, with an average practicality percentage reaching 97.5%, falling into the very practical category. In terms of effectiveness, the application of the media in grade IV at SDN 13 Tilamuta was measured through pretest and posttest scores. The results showed that the average pretest score of 42.27% increased to 83.63% in the posttest, with a difference of improvement of 48.2%. The effectiveness level of the EDUCARD media, based on calculations, reached 70.40%, indicating that the EDUCARD media is categorized as effective. Based on these results, the EDUCARD media has been proven effective in improving student learning outcomes and is suitable for use in elementary school learning.
