Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan adopsi teknologi energi alternatif, khususnya sistem biogas sederhana. Melalui pelatihan dan implementasi, masyarakat memperoleh pengetahuan tentang manfaat biogas sebagai solusi energi ramah lingkungan dan mulai menerapkannya dalam kehidupan rumah tangga. Selain itu, pemberdayaan pemuda lokal melalui pelatihan teknis menciptakan sistem dukungan berkelanjutan yang mempermudah pemeliharaan dan pengembangan teknologi biogas. Program ini menghasilkan modul pelatihan yang terstruktur dan prototipe biogas fungsional, memungkinkan masyarakat untuk menerapkan teknologi tersebut secara mandiri. Selain itu, inisiatif ini juga meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pengelolaan limbah yang efektif dan pentingnya solusi energi ramah lingkungan. Dengan komitmen masyarakat yang kuat dan rencana tindak lanjut berupa pelatihan lanjutan, program ini memiliki potensi untuk memberikan manfaat jangka panjang serta mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di wilayah sasaran.

Abstract

Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran demokrasi dan partisipasi pemilih pemula melalui edukasi pemilu berbasis partisipatif dan digital. Pemilih pemula sering menghadapi kendala dalam memahami pentingnya pemilu serta mudah terpengaruh oleh informasi hoaks. Kegiatan ini meliputi seminar, lokakarya, simulasi pemilu, dan penyusunan panduan digital untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang demokrasi dan mekanisme pemilu. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang pemilu, kemampuan menangkal hoaks, serta terbentuknya jaringan pemilih pemula yang aktif mempromosikan nilai-nilai demokrasi. Simulasi pemilu memberikan pengalaman langsung yang memperkuat motivasi peserta untuk berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam pemilu. Program ini berhasil menciptakan fondasi kuat bagi pemilih pemula untuk menjadi agen perubahan yang mendukung demokrasi yang sehat dan berintegritas.

Abstract

The scattered of English throughout the world signaled the language significance. Thus, the current study aims to improve junior high school vocabulary mastery in TEFL. A random sampling technique under pre-experimental design was employed to select one class out of the eight classes. The study then recruited 21 students. Vocabulary test in the form of multiple choices was implemented as the instrument of the study, consisted of 50 items. The test was administrated twice. The first test was pre-test and the second test was post-test to see the method significance difference. Moreover, the results of the pre-test and post-test were analyzed by using t-test. Based on the study, the data analysis on the students’ score in pre-test unpacked that the mean score of the pre-test was 45.61, the mean score of post-tests was 67.52, the t-value was 79.56, and the t-value in the table was 17.25. Therefore, the finding of the research showed that the use of PPP method may increase EFL vocabulary mastery, indicating accepted hypothesis.

Abstract

Myriads of previous endeavours on constructing English language learning identity have been directed worldwide. The study predominantly focuses on constructing teacher identity in English language learning in general. It does not explicitly discuss the massive development of the English language (Global English). Therefore, to fill the lacuna, the current study will focus on five International Islamic boarding school teachers, concerning the globalization of English. The current study will be an engaging narrative to explore and investigate, considering that the recruitment of five international Islamic boarding school teachers in Malang will pose a dilemma and provide a true reflection of the ongoing global debate regarding the globalization of English (GE). In-depth interviews and observations were administered to collect the data. The data would then be analysed under Braun's & Clarke's thematic analysis (2006). The data were then identified to produce a data transcript. After transcribing the data, the researcher frequently read the transcript to highlight the interview data and create the identifying themes. Finally, the researchers concluded the interview data. Moreover, the study generated three analysis themes (orientation, adjustment, and identity construction). In the orientation, the subjects believed that the teacher should tolerate the students' errors in practising the language to avoid deterring students from studying the language. Moreover, after experiencing the development of English, Nana, Hana, Miya, Layla, and Mila (pseudonyms) suggested that they would still accentuate the teaching of Standard English, with a high tolerance to retain students’ high motivation. Finally, in the theme of identity construction, they believed that the students should skew their preferences towards standard English to sound more sophisticated in a formal context

Abstract

The background of this research is the Pari Temple as one of the historical sites in Sidoarjo Regency that can serve as a source for learning History. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of the Pari Temple as a source of historical learning, as well as to understand the students' responses. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is conducted through interviews with students, teachers, and the management of the Pari Temple. Field observations are made to observe student interactions during visits to the Pari Temple. Questionnaires are given to students to ascertain their responses. The validity of the data is ensured through data triangulation by comparing the results of interviews, observations, and questionnaires to ensure the accuracy of the obtained information. The research results show that Candi Pari as a learning resource is a cultural heritage rich in historical values, possesses architectural value, and can be used as a source of historical learning. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Candi Pari is an effective learning resource in history education.

Abstract

Background: The rapid adoption of technology in education has transformed the teaching and learning process, shifting from traditional classroom settings to hybrid environments that combine in-person and online learning. Microsoft Teams has become a prominent platform in digital learning, particularly during the pandemic, yet its sustainability in supporting long-term educational goals remains underexplored.Aim: This study aims to evaluate the sustainability of Microsoft Teams in digital learning environments through the perspectives of mathematics teachers in Surabaya.Methods: A quantitative-descriptive analytical approach was adopted. Data were collected via an online questionnaire involving 83 mathematics teachers from the Community of Mathematics Teachers (MGMP) in Surabaya. The survey examined task technology fit (TTF) and the use of Microsoft Teams LMS in teaching practices. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 26 to assess the validity and reliability of the questionnaire.Results: The findings indicate that mathematics teachers generally hold a positive perception of Microsoft Teams sustainability in supporting digital learning. Task technology fit (TTF) significantly influenced teachers views on the platform effectiveness, productivity, and its impact on their teaching performance and students outcomes. However, challenges such as technical issues and varying levels of digital literacy impacted its full potential.Conclusion: The study concludes that incorporating Microsoft Teams as a core component of the education curriculum is vital for its long-term sustainability in digital learning environments. Recommendations include addressing existing challenges to optimize its usage and enhance its role in future educational practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis relevansi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terhadap reformasi administrasi publik di Kota Malang, dengan fokus pada dimensi nilai, etika, dan kesadaran kewarganegaraan aparatur negara. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode normatif-empiris melalui studi kepustakaan, analisis dokumen kebijakan, serta wawancara mendalam dengan aparatur sipil negara dan akademisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa reformasi administrasi publik di Kota Malang masih didominasi oleh pendekatan struktural dan teknokratis sementara integrasi nilai-nilai kewarganegaraan dalam pembinaan aparatur belum dilakukan secara sistematis. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terbukti memiliki peran penting sebagai fondasi normatif dalam membentuk etika pelayanan, tanggung jawab publik, dan orientasi aparatur terhadap kepentingan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan reformasi administrasi publik memerlukan integrasi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai bagian dari strategi pembangunan sumber daya manusia aparatur guna mewujudkan birokrasi yang demokratis, berintegritas, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop English reading materials based on a task-based language teaching approach for the eighth-grade students of SMP Muallimat Gresik. This study was conducted to solve the problem faced by the eighth-grade students of SMP Muallimat Gresik in reading interest and how to develop reading materials for the eighth-grade students of SMP Muallimat Gresik. This research uses a research method in the form of a research and development method {R&D}, this research and development design includes several stages. Need analysis, studied theories related to reading problems, the result of the needs analysis was developed into a textbook, and expert validation was conducted to determine the quality of the product again until the writer felt confident that the product could be published perfectly. The final product of this study is the textbook of Reading material which focuses on increasing students’ reading skills; this reading material is developed based on the students' needs and students’ interests.

Abstract

. This study explores the influence of ChatGPT, an AI-powered writing tool, on academic writing among Indonesian university students. Utilizing survey data from 120 participants and qualitative insights from interviews, it examines students' perspectives on ChatGPT's impact on writing productivity, quality, and creativity. Findings indicate that ChatGPT is widely used for organizing ideas and accelerating the drafting process. However, opinions differ regarding its effectiveness in reducing wordiness and maintaining originality. Ethical considerations surrounding plagiarism and the integration of AI in education are scrutinized. While some students appreciate the efficiency and structure ChatGPT provides, others express concerns about over-reliance and diminished personal input. The study highlights the importance of balanced AI integration in education to enhance learning outcomes while fostering critical thinking and ethical reasoning. Recommendations include incorporating discussions on ethical AI use into curricula and conducting further research on long-term impacts and strategies to optimize AI’s educational utility. This research contributes to the understanding of AI's role in academic writing, suggesting pathways to leverage its benefits while mitigating potential drawbacks. By promoting a nuanced approach, it aims to maximize AI’s positive impact on education, ensuring that students not only improve their writing skills but also develop essential critical thinking and ethical awareness. Overall, the study underscores the need for thoughtful integration of AI tools like ChatGPT in academic settings, balancing technological advancements with the cultivation of independent thinking and originality in student work.
