Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu bentuk dari implementasi tri dharma perguruan tinggi yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan khusus pada siswa yang berkebutuhan khusus dalam proses pembelajaran di SLB C Kinasih. Kegiatan ini berupa pembinaan dan pendampingan khusus terhadap siswa yang memiliki keterbatasan atau berkebutuhan khusus melalui pendekatan-pendekatan dalam bimbingan dan konseling. Sehingga siswa yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus tetap bisa mengembangkan kemampuan mereka dengan kelebihan yang mereka miliki dan bisa mendapatkan Pendidikan yang sama. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SLB Kinasih menggunakan metode tanya jawab dan praktik langsung.kegiatan ini terlaksana dengan lancar dan ada perubahan yang terjadi dalam perilaku siswa yang nampak pada tingkat semangat yang timbul pada siswa, kegiatan ini diselaraskan dengan salah satu visi sekolah tersebut yaitu dalam membentuk karakter siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah:1) Memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada remaja tentang lansia, 2) Menerapkan konseling pada lansia. Metode kegiatan menggunakan langkah-langkah: 1) Pesiapan, yaitu dengan cara survey di lapangan, 2) Kegiatan, dengan cara penanyangan slide materi dalam bentuk power point, 3) Praktik konseling, 4) Tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan: 1) Seluruh peserta memahami materi yang diberikan dalam layanan klasikal, 2) Peserta antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan, kondisi ini dapat dilihat dari ketepatan waktu kehadiran hingga selesai kegiatan, aktif bertanya dan peserta bisa mempraktikkan konseling yang baik kepada lansia, 3) Masing-masing peserta memberikan saran dan menyimpulkan materi yang didapatkan diakhir kegiatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas, efektivitas, serta praktikalitas dari LKPD berbasis STEM untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi getaran, gelombang, dan bunyi. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan model ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Data dari proses pengembangan diperoleh dari angket validasi ahli, hasil belajar pretest-posttest peserta didik, serta angket respon peserta didik. Adapun hasil dari validitas terhadap LKPD mendapat kategori sangat valid dan layak untuk digunakan dengan perolehan nilai koefisien validitas sebesar 0,83. Efektivitas dari LKPD dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik memperoleh peningkatan N-Gain sebesar 0,77 dengan kategori peningkatan tinggi. Sedangkan dari hasil analisis angket respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD memiliki kriteria sangat praktis dengan presentase 87,10%. Hasil analisis data yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan LKPD berbasis STEM efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi getaran, gelombang, dan bunyi.

Abstract

Azas kekekalan energi merupakan salah satu topik dalam kajian termokimia yang telah dipelajari mahasiswa Program STudi Pendidikan IPA pada saat mereka di bangku SMA. Pengetahuan awal mahasiswa pada topiktersebut akan menjadi dasar bagi mereka untuk mempelajari materi terkait di perguruan tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan pengetahuan awal mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan IPA pada topic azas kekekalan energi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskrivtif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan IPA FKIP Universitas Tidar tahun 2017/2018. Instrumen yang digunakan merupakan tes bentuk testlet terdiri dari 9 pertanyaan dengan 3 soal utama dan 3 soal pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat mahasiswa yang belum dapat memahami konsep azas kekekalan energi dengan baik.

Abstract

Pendekatan yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa merupakan STEM. STEM membantu siswa dalam mempelajari dan menganalisis pembelajaran untuk mendukung dan mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kevalidan, efektivitas dan kepraktisan LKPD berbasis STEM tema tekanan di sekitarku untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE dalam pengembangannya. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah angket ahli dan angket respon siswa terhadap LKPD. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan kelas VIII A SMP N 1 Mertoyudan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perolehan rata-rata aspek kelayakan LKPD oleh ahli 0,91 dengan kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan dinilai melalui angket respon siswa diperoleh rata-rata presentase 88% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Efektivitas dilakukan menggunakan soal pretest-posttest dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,63 dan dikategorikan sedang serta effect size 2,63 dengan kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah LKPD berbasus STEM tema tekanan di sekitarku layak digunakan, sangat praktis dan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Indigenous knowledge in Indonesia is very diverse, but some of it is threatened with extinction due to the impact of modernization on people's lifestyles. This research aims to find new methods of integrating indigenous knowledge into the curriculum for preparing prospective science teachers. The new method is targeted to become a reference for prospective science teacher education providers in Indonesia. The research uses mixed methods to find the impact of integrating indigenous knowledge in the curriculum for preparing prospective science teachers, according to the NGSS. The impact on prospective science teachers' profiles is the ability to integrate indigenous knowledge in preparing NGSS. The research targets were 15 heads of science education study programs from 15 different tertiary institutions and 20 prospective science teachers from three different study periods (one year, two years, and more than three years). The difference between study periods is considered because applying a curriculum integrating indigenous knowledge has only begun in the three classes used in this study. The research results found that the longer the study period, the more prospective teachers have the skills to integrate indigenous knowledge more clearly. The N-Gain test obtained a result of 0.5 (medium), meaning that the existing curriculum on the skills of applying science concepts to prospective science teachers about indigenous knowledge is in the medium category. Systematic integration of the curriculum for preparing prospective science teachers makes NGSS and indigenous knowledge in academic texts, courses, teaching materials, and final projects for graduation requirements.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the condition of IKIP PGRI Pontianak employees in dealing with work stress. The type and form of this research is descriptive research in the form of action research. The data source is employees of IKIP PGRI Pontianak. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, it was concluded that coping skills based on the inquiry discovery method to reduce employee work stress can be applied well. The impact of implementing the coping skills model based on the inquiry discovery method to reduce work stress in employees is the emergence of employees' ability to overcome anxiety, boredom, low self-confidence, loss of concentration, low self-esteem and anxiety in the work environment

Abstract

Science education emphasizes direct experience to develop competence in exploring and understanding nature to foster the ability to think critically, collaborate, be scientific, and communicate as important aspects of life skills. This research aims to analyze the effect of learning using the problem-based learning (PBL) model in the context of socio-scientific issues (SSI) on critical thinking skills on digestive system material. This research is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental design. The population is class VIII students of State Junior High School 2 Subah for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample was class VIIIA as the experimental class and class VIIIC as the control class, established using the purposive sampling technique, namely sampling based on certain considerations.  The research instrument was a test (pretest and posttest). The research results are as follows. (1) The results of the T-test analysis using the Independent Sample t-test are 0.00 < 0.05, which shows that there is a difference in the average value of critical thinking abilities of the two classes. (2) The results of the N-Gain test for the experimental class obtained a higher value, namely 0.628, indicating that the experimental class using the PBL model with the SSI context experienced a greater increase in critical thinking abilities. (3) The effect size test result is 1.1659 in the high category. This research concludes that the PBL model in the context of socio-scientific issues (SSI) affects critical problem-based learning thinking skills.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship courses are one of the important courses to be developed in the curriculum of education study programs. This is to equip students, apart from having abilities in the field of education, to have an entrepreneurial spirit. Prospective teacher students need to be equipped with entrepreneurial competencies as a provision for living life after graduating from lectures as prospective teachers. Currently, there are rarely studies on the development of entrepreneurship courses for prospective teachers. This study aims to develop competencies and study materials that need to be mastered by prospective teacher students in entrepreneurship courses. This research was conducted using the delphi method involving expert consensus to determine the competencies and study materials for entrepreneurship courses. These competencies and study materials are used as the basis for developing semester learning plans (RPS) by lecturers. The results showed that there are ten competencies that must be mastered by prospective teacher students in carrying out entrepreneurship lectures. The most important thing is about exploring local potential which can be utilized for entrepreneurial activities.  The ten competencies were also analyzed based on priority order factors that must be trained to students. Through this research, it is necessary to develop a more practical curriculum for educational study programs.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the problem-solving abilities and mathematical connections of the sixth-semester students of Physics Tadris in the Statistical Physics course, especially the Bose-Einstein Equation Material. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. Data collection in this study used a cognitive test technique in the form of a description test to measure students' mathematical abilities, which amounted to 8 questions, of which four were used to measure problem-solving abilities, and four were used to measure students' mathematical connections. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to determine the profile of students' mathematical abilities and the distribution of predicate achievement on the ability of problem fractions and students' mathematical connections. The results showed that students' average problem-solving ability and mathematical connection were in the Pretty Good category.
