Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the Dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The Bandung City Health Office said that this year as of April 26, 2024, the cumulative number of DHF cases in Bandung City exceeded 3,025 cases. This study aims to identify the factors associated between INA-CBGs tariffs and the actual treatment costs of Dengue Fever (DHF) patients at Hospital X Bandung. A correlation research method with a retrospective approach was used to analyze secondary data of JKN claims in 2023. The population in this study were patients who underwent inpatient treatment in 2023 at Hospital X Bandung with a diagnosis of Dengue Fever (DHF) with diagnosis code A91, totaling 906 medical record files. Samples were selected based on the criteria of medical record files with a primary diagnosis of Dengue Fever (DHF) and medical record files with JKN tariff setting. The results showed that length of stay (p < 0.001), medical procedures (p 0.018), and severity (p < 0.036) of illness significantly contributed to the tariff gap. This tariff gap has implications for the hospital's financial loss and potential reduction in service quality. Based on these findings, it is recommended to review the INA-CBGs tariff structure, develop clinical pathways, stricter management of treatment classes, and improve cooperation between hospitals and BPJS Kesehatan.

Abstract

The quality of hospital services is an important factor that influences patient perception, satisfaction, and loyalty. This study aims to analyze the relationship between service quality and the interest of outpatients in revisiting the Integrated Service Unit at Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital. This quantitative cross-sectional study involved 68 respondents selected through purposive sampling from a population of 6,155 patients during the period March–June 2025. Service quality was measured using six dimensions: safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. The interest in revisiting was measured based on the willingness of patients to return to use the services. Data analysis was performed using Spearman's rho correlation test. The results showed that all dimensions of service quality were in the good category, with the highest scores in the safe, efficient, and equitable dimensions (94.1%) and the lowest in the effective dimension (83.8%). Patient interest in return visits was very high, with 98.5% of respondents expressing interest in returning for treatment. However, the correlation test showed no significant relationship between service quality and interest in return visits (r = –0.026; p = 0.832). These findings indicate that even though service quality is high, other factors beyond service quality, such as location, cost, promotion, and third-party recommendations, are likely to have a greater influence on patients' decisions to return. Further research is recommended to explore other variables that may influence patients' interest in revisiting.

Abstract

Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a significant health concern, categorised as a neglected tropical disease that requires substantial attention due to its high Case Fatality Rate (CFR) and associated mortality, especially in outbreak situations. DHF results from the dengue virus, categorised within group B of Arthropod-Borne Viruses (Arboviruses). The Bandung City Health Office reported 5,205 cases of dengue haemorrhagic fever in 2022 consisting of 2,646 (51%) male and 2,559 (49%) female patients. This study employs spatial analysis to chart the distribution of DHF cases, allowing for an assessment of potential spatial autocorrelation of DHF within the Bandung City region. This study on autocorrelation employed a retrospective cohort research design. This study focused on the incidence rates of DHF as reported by the Bandung City Health Office, with the analysis encompassing 30 sub-districts within Bandung City. The technique employed for sampling was total sampling. The independent variable in this investigation is the occurrence of DHF. The Moran I Index was employed in the spatial analysis to examine the distribution pattern of the variable. DHF incidence in 30 sub-districts of Bandung City is clustered with a Moran index value of 0.120934 in the interval 0 ≤ I ≤ 1, indicating positive spatial autocorrelation. The p-value of 0.001585 is smaller than the α value (5%), indicating statistical significance. The spatial pattern of DHF incidence is clustered, and there is autocorrelation between sub-districts in Bandung City in 2023. The distribution of DHF cases in Bandung City in 2023 is clustered. Scientific studies in the form of spatial analyses are recommended to be conducted in DHF endemic areas on a regular basis because they can provide basic information to support effective prevention and control of DHF cases.

Abstract

Abstract

Bullying in boarding schools is a serious issue affecting students’ mental health, social relationships, and academic performance. Boarding schools, especially pesantren in Indonesia, present unique social and institutional contexts that may facilitate bullying. This study conducted a systematic review following PRISMA guidelines. Literature searches were performed in Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed, ProQuest, Web of Science, and Google Scholar for studies published between 2020 and 2025. Eligible articles focused on bullying in boarding schools and reported data on prevalence, risk factors, or impacts. Data were synthesized narratively. Bullying is common in boarding schools, including physical, verbal, and relational forms. Key risk factors include low self-esteem, limited resilience, negative parenting styles, unsafe school environments, and peer hierarchies. Bullying was associated with psychological distress, anxiety, depression, peer conflicts, reduced school engagement, and lower academic performance. Prevalence and severity varied across cultural and institutional contexts. Bullying in boarding schools is multifactorial, involving individual, familial, and school-level contributors. Unsafe climates and poor supervision intensify risks, while negative consequences extend beyond immediate harm to long-term mental health, social adjustment, and academic outcomes.
