Abstract

Inverter material is one of the essential materials in power electronics courses. An inverter is an electronic device that converts direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). This concept is the foundation of electronics. Because the power electronics course is a practicum course, a practicum module is required as an intermediary teaching medium; this practical module discusses 3-phase inverter material, which uses the pulse width modulation (PWM) and sinusoidal pulse width modulation inverter (SPWM) switching methods. Through Tinkercad software, the circuit is assembled, and the output wave results from the two methods used are seen in designing the 3-phase inverter practical module using the Research and Development method. This research uses media and material validation sheet instruments to determine the feasibility of the 3-phase inverter practicum module. The research results showed that the percentage of media experts was 94%, material experts were 81%, and language experts were 84%. Hence, the 3-phase inverter practicum module is very suitable for use and can make it easier for students to understand inverters. Thus, developing a 3-phase inverter practicum module can effectively increase students' understanding of inverter material and interest in learning. It can also be an alternative for lecturers in teaching.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations made by researchers through direct observation of lecturers in the field of electricity, Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, it was found that there is a need for additional trainers as learning media in the electrical machine control course. This study aims to find out how to design a trainer kit design module for DC motor speed control using voice commands by utilizing the Arduino microcontroller. We also learned the results of testing the design of a trainer kit design module for DC motor speed control using voice commands by utilizing the Arduino microcontroller. The research method researchers use is the Research and Development (R&D) method, which aims to develop new products or innovations that benefit. Based on the results of expert validation, it can be concluded that the Arduino Microcontroller-Based Trainer Kit Practical Module obtained a high percentage of media experts at 96%, material experts at 95.5%, and language experts at 80%. These results indicate that this module gets the "Very Eligible" category to be applied to the Electrical Machine Control course.

Abstract

Security and security are important issues in everyday life. Using simple authentication systems such as mechanical keys has proven vulnerable to breaches. RFID technology and keypads are considerable solutions to this problem. The research aims to design and implement a smart door locking system that combines RFID and keypad technology to enhance room security. System design is based on ease of use, reliability, and security. The system is designed with a higher level of security, i.e. by combining RFID, keypad, and PIR sensors so that to open the door it requires an RFID scan, inserting a pin on the keypad and moving hands or something else to detect movement by the PIR sensor. The evaluation of usability shows that the system is well accepted by users with an average of 4.2 on the 5th scale.

Abstract

The challenges of the business and industrial worlds (DU/DI) regarding the competency of SMK graduates. One of the reasons for graduates' non-absorption in the labor market is complaints about their ability. Non-absorption of vocational graduates in the business/industrial world does not imply a lack of work prospects, but rather a lack of graduate competency. The purpose of this research ascertains the level of relevance of the curriculum for the productive program of Motorcycle Business Engineering Skills Competence at SMK Negeri 4 Banda Aceh with the needs of DU/DI, as well as to capture the competencies required by DU/DI for graduates majoring in Motorcycle Business Engineering. A quantitative descriptive method with a survey methodology is used in this investigation. This study's participants were productive teachers of TBSM competence at SMK Negeri 4 Banda Aceh and ATPM workshops that partnered with SMK Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. The Percentage descriptive statistics were employed to analyze the data. According to the findings of this study, the level of applicability of the curriculum for the productive TBSM skill competency program with the need for DU/DI is 92% on average. Initiation of the fact that the curriculum of SMK Negeri 4 Banda Aceh is really relevant.

Abstract

Vocational high school curriculum aimed to prepare pupils for careers in specific industries. Student learning results are significantly impacted by the vocational school learning process. Students' comprehension at SMKN 1 Lhoknga is still deficient since the learning model used is not as effective in maximizing the growth of students' understanding. Applying the Think Pair Share learning paradigm, which is in line with the learner-centered curriculum, is one option to solve this issue. This study employs a quantitative methodology and involved 27 pupils in class X TITL SMKN 1 Lhoknga. Questionnaires and observation sheets are the tools employed. The findings demonstrated that, according to the Think Pair Share learning model, students' average level of activity was 79, with a trend of 79 > 73.3, placing them in the very high category. The percentage of students who responded is 77.04%. it can be concluded that the utilization of the Think Pair Share approach can raise students' engagement with basic electrical materials, according to the study's findings.

Abstract

Education is a foundation for improving the quality of human resources. Quality education will be able to produce superior human resources from every aspect of life. One of the educations that is responsible for creating quality human resources is Vocational High School (SMK) education. Vocational learning load includes Face-to-face (TM) School Practice (PS) activities and Practical Activities in DU/DI. Field work practices can train and support the skills that students have learned while at school, so that they can be developed in the world of work. But apart from that, there are some SMKs that pay less attention to the implementation of the field work practice. The discrepancy between the material studied at school and what is faced by students in DU/DI. This study aims to determine how much influence field work practices have on the work interest of class XII students of Access Network Engineering Skills Competence at SMK Negeri 5 Telkom Banda Aceh. This study uses a quantitative approach with the method used is Ex Post Facto. The subjects of this study were 48 students of the Access Network Engineering Department. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive influence between field work practices and work interest of class XII students of Access Network Engineering expertise competence at SMKN 5 Telkom Banda Aceh by 39.8%, while 60.2% is influenced by other factors.
