Abstract

Employee job satisfaction is one of the important elements that must be considered in a business in terms of human resources. This writing is to find out how employee job satisfaction at PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia Tanjung Perak Surabaya branch is influenced by work-life balance and career development. This research methodology uses an associative quantitative approach. The study employed a saturation sampling strategy to choose a sample of 46 employees from the PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia Tanjung Perak Surabaya branch. With Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) analysis. The research findings are, at PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia Tanjung Perak Surabaya branch, work life balance has a positive and large effect on employee job satisfaction, and career development has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

The increase in life expectancy in Indonesia has led to a rising elderly population, including in Bekasi City. This poses a challenge in ensuring sustainable quality of life for the elderly. This study aims to analyze the influence of retirement readiness, retirement training, and retiree motivation on organizational satisfaction among members of the Indonesian Retired Civil Servants Association (PWRI) in Bekasi City. A quantitative approach was used with proportional stratified sampling involving 80 representatives of PWRI managers at city, sub-district, and village levels. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The findings show that retiree motivation significantly influences organizational satisfaction, while retirement readiness and retirement training do not. Hence, the Bekasi City PWRI and local government should enhance synergy in designing training and empowerment programs tailored to retirees’ interests. Social support should also be reinforced to improve retirees quality of life comprehensively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of work discipline and motivation as an intervening variable on the performance of teachers at the Islamic Grundschule Al Azhar 35 in Surabaya. The study employs a quantitative research approach using data obtained using the fragebögen of forty respondents using a standard stitch-proben procedure. The collected data was then analyzed using the software Smart PLS. The study's findings demonstrate that both work discipline and compensation have a positive and significant impact on performance, that work discipline has a positive and significant impact on performance through motivation, and that compensation has no effect on performance throught motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership style and work engagement on the performance of Party X administrators in Surabaya City. The research employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 43 respondents using a saturated sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using Smart PLS software. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on performance, and work engagement also has a positive and significant effect on performance.

Abstract

Halal certification is a mandatory legality for food and beverage entrepreneurs to guarantee the safety and halal integrity of a product for Muslim consumers. Without an official certificate issued by the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), products risk losing consumer trust. However, the phenomenon in Sidosermo Village, Surabaya, shows that many MSMEs have not yet obtained official certification and are using unofficial halal logos. This condition required intervention through free halal assistance under the self-declare scheme. This community service activity was conducted in five stages: preparation, legality survey, socialization of SIHALAL regulations, registration assistance, and monitoring the application until the certificate was issued. The results of this activity showed that 19 assisted MSMEs successfully obtained official halal certificates. Consequently, this community service is able to improve legal compliance, enhance entrepreneurs' understanding regarding the differences in official halal logos, and support the acceleration of national halal certification.

Abstract

QonjaMadu is a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) which operates in the field of processing pond shrimp, especially into shrimp paste. QonjaMadu’s shrimp paste are highly demanded by consumers enabling a monthly production capacity of up to 72 kg of tiger prawns. However, based on a statement from the owner of QonjaMadu, there are several issues in the production process, especially in the drying of row materials, molding, and final drying stages, which are still performed using conventional methods that require up to 78 hours and pose a risk of reducing the product’s level of hygiene. The Objective of this science and technology implementation activity is to implement the Press Molding and Dehydrator Package as a solution to improve the productivity, hygiene, and profitability of QonjaMadu. The methods used in this activity include partner needs surveys, equipment design, fabrication, testing, implementation, and laboratory testing of the produced shrimp paste quality. The implementation of these tools has proven to provide production efficiency solution and to enhance to productivity, hygiene, and profitability of the QonjaMadu. ABSTRAK QonjaMadu merupakan sebuah Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan hasil tambak udang terutama terasi. Terasi QonjaMadu banyak diminati oleh masyarakat sehingga dalam satu bulan dapat memproduksi 72 kg udang windu. Namun berdasarkan pernyataan pemilik usaha, terdapat permasalahan dalam proses produksinya, yaitu pada proses penjemuran bahan, pencetakan, dan pengeringan akhir menggunakan metode konvensional yang memerlukan waktu hingga 78 jam dan berisiko menurunkan higienitas produk. Tujuan kegiatan penerapan iptek ini adalah untuk menerapkan alat Press Molding dan Dehydrator Package sebagai solusi peningkatan produktivitas, higienitas serta profitabilitas UMKM Terasi QonjaMadu. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan meliputi survei kebutuhan mitra, perancangan alat, pembuatan alat, uji coba alat, penerapan alat, dan uji laboratorium kualitas terasi yang dihasilkan. Penerapan alat tersebut telah terbukti memberikan solusi efisiensi produksi dan meningkatkan produktivitas, higienitas, serta profitabilitas UMKM Terasi QonjaMadu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis respons pedagang UMK telur ayam ras terhadap fluktuasi harga ekstrem di Pasar Sememi Surabaya, di mana harga mencapai Rp30.500/kg. Tujuan utama adalah mengidentifikasi pola pricing dan stocking serta rasionalitas operasional (sosial vs kapital) sebagai strategi survival. Menggunakan desain kualitatif Etnografi Bisnis, populasi seluruh pedagang UMK dengan sampel dua informan kunci (contrasting cases: konservatif dan oportunistik). Instrumen meliputi observasi partisipatif 18 minggu, wawancara mendalam, dan data harga resmi; analisis melalui triangulasi dan coding tematik. Hasil menunjukkan dualisme strategi: Pedagang A (pricing kompetitif, stocking 10.6 kg/hari, rasionalitas sosial) versus Pedagang B (pricing premium Rp500-1.500, stocking 9.6 kg/hari, rasionalitas kapital). Kesimpulan menegaskan sintesis risiko ekonomi-sosial sebagai kunci adaptasi UMK, dengan implikasi kebijakan dukungan modal dan peringatan harga dini.

Abstract

Kesiapan kerja siswa SMK menjadi aspek penting dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh self efficacy, motivasi kerja, dan praktik kerja lapangan (PKL) terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII SMKN 1 Mojokerto tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 495 siswa, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survei menggunakan kuesioner berskala Likert 1–5. Sampel berjumlah 85 yang ditentukan melalui teknik proportionate random sampling, dan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self efficacy meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 1 Mojokerto, motivasi kerja meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 1 Mojokerto, dan PKL juga meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 1 Mojokerto.

Abstract

This research study aims to examine and analyze the influence of work discipline and compensation on employee performance at PT Leble Boga Adiperkasa. The type of research used is quantitative, with the entire employee population totaling 78 individuals. Due to the relatively small population size, the saturated sampling technique (census) was employed, making the entire population the sample. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) via the SmartPLS software. A series of tests were conducted, including validity, reliability, and R-square analysis. The results of the structural model testing consistently prove that both work discipline and compensation are partially confirmed to have a positive and significant influence on the employee performance of PT Leble Boga Adiperkasa.

Abstract

Business legality is an important aspect for the sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, there are still many MSME players in Kalijudan Village, Surabaya City, who do not have a Business Identification Number (NIB) as an official business identity. This community service activity aims to increase understanding and assist MSME operators in the process of issuing NIBs through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. The methods used include socialization, technical assistance, and evaluation of NIB issuance results. Of the 20 MSME operators who were assisted, 12 successfully issued NIBs after participating in the assistance program, while the other 8 already had NIBs. The results of the activity showed an increase in awareness of the importance of business legality in obtaining access to financing, training, and marketing networks. Thus, this activity was effective in strengthening legality and encouraging economic independence among the community in Kalijudan Village.
