Abstract

Surgical delays represent a major challenge in hospital services, potentially leading to negative impacts on patients' medical conditions, operational efficiency, as well as patient and staff satisfaction. This study aims to identify and analyze hospital management strategies to minimize surgical delays at Tabanan Regional Public Hospital (RSUD Tabanan). A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with six informants, including a surgeon, an anesthesiologist, a nurse, a patient, a patient's family member, and hospital management. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis. The findings revealed four primary factors contributing to surgical delays at RSUD Tabanan: (1) Medical conditions, such as unstable blood pressure, uncontrolled blood glucose levels, and infections; (2) Logistical and administrative issues, including limited operating room availability due to equipment malfunction and infrastructure problems; (3) Patient-related factors, such as lack of understanding regarding the surgical schedule; and (4) Medical team factors, including a lack of commitment to the surgical schedule and a shortage of nursing staff. Strategies proposed to address these issues include: (1) improving preoperative medical condition monitoring, (2) upgrading infrastructure and conducting routine maintenance of medical equipment, (3) implementing a digital information system to provide more accurate surgical schedules to patients, and (4) strengthening coordination and discipline among the medical team through a reward and punishment policy related to schedule adherence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work ethic, length of service, and facilities on employee productivity at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Aghisna Kroya, both partially and simultaneously. The approach used is quantitative with a descriptive survey method. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 167 respondents selected using simple random sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using statistical tests, including univariate analysis, bivariate with Pearson and Chi-Square correlation tests, and multivariate analysis with multiple linear regression to evaluate the simultaneous influence of independent variables on employee productivity. The results showed that work ethic has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity. Length of service has an effect on productivity, although the level of influence is lower than work ethic. Work facilities have a significant effect on productivity, indicating that the availability of adequate facilities can increase work effectiveness. Simultaneous analysis shows that work ethic, length of service, and facilities together affect employee productivity, with a coefficient of determination (R²) value indicating that these three variables are able to explain most of the variation in productivity. Efforts to increase productivity can be made by strengthening work ethic, optimizing length of service, and providing better facilities for employees.

Abstract

Perkembangan bisnis di Indonesia meningkat sangat pesat. Salah satunya di sektor kecantikan seperti produk skincare atau bukanya klinik-klinik kecantikan semakin di Indonesia. Memungkinkan konsumen melakukan peralihan merek (brand switching) skincare atau klinik kecantikan. Brand switching terjadi diakibatkan berbagai faktor salah satunya kebebasan berinteraksi melalui sosial media, untuk mempengharuhi pilihan konsumen atau electronic word of mouth. Pilihan atribut produk yang banyak menyebabkan konsumen bebas memilih atribut produk yang mereka inginkan. Selain itu perilaku ingin mencoba hal-hal baru juga menjadi faktor brand switching. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh electronic word of mouth, atribut produk, variety seeking terhadap brand switching di NS klinik Jakarta Timur. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 460 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 82 orang. Jenis penelitan ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Instrumen statistis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi dengan menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas. Berdasarkan penelitian didapatkan hasil Uji F maupun Uji t hasil nilai sig. <0.05. hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan electronic word of mouth, atribut produk, variety seeking terhadap brand switching.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi pengelolaan biaya rawat inap pasien Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) yang berpedoman pada Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan (Permenkes) Nomor 3 Tahun 2023. Aturan baru ini membawa implikasi signifikan terhadap sistem reimbursement INA-CBG's, menuntut rumah sakit untuk mengoptimalkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam perhitungan biaya. Strategi pengelolaan biaya yang diteliti meliputi peningkatan kualitas coding diagnosis dan prosedur, optimalisasi alur pelayanan klinis, serta pengawasan ketat terhadap penggunaan obat dan alat kesehatan. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan pihak manajemen keuangan, tim koder, dokter, perawat, dan staf terkait, serta analisis dokumen kebijakan internal dan data klaim. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa rumah sakit telah menerapkan strategi adaptif, seperti program edukasi coding berkelanjutan, penerapan protokol klinis berbasis bukti, dan penggunaan sistem informasi untuk monitoring biaya. Meskipun demikian, tantangan adaptasi terhadap perubahan regulasi yang cepat, resistensi praktik lama, dan perlunya investasi teknologi tetap menjadi isu krusial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan sinergi antara manajemen klinis dan keuangan, serta pengembangan kapasitas SDM untuk mencapai pengelolaan biaya rawat inap JKN yang efektif dan efisien sesuai Permenkes 03/2023.

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education requires institutions to adopt intelligent technologies that support more accurate and data-driven decision-making. This study investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Business Intelligence (BI) systems within Indonesian universities using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the theoretical framework. A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving surveys (n = 75) and interviews with academic leaders and information technology (IT) staff. The results show that AI-enhanced BI systems significantly improve decision-making effectiveness, particularly in academic planning and administrative efficiency. Regression analysis revealed that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use explained 58% of the variance in decision effectiveness, while all variables combined (including management support and digital literacy) accounted for 69%. These findings validate the TAM in the context of AI-based decision systems in education. This study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering evidence-based recommendations for strengthening data-driven culture and institutional readiness for adopting intelligent information systems.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of MSME potential in Legok Harendong Village, Bandung Regency, through the use of social media and digital distribution. This area is famous for its honey orange commodities and Arabica and Robusta coffee, which thrive due to the hilly geographical conditions and the dominance of the community as farmers. However, limited infrastructure, digital literacy, and marketing strategies are the main challenges for MSMEs in developing their businesses. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of MSME actors, particularly Elgeha coffee entrepreneurs, through digital marketing socialization, social media content training (including Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp), and product catalog creation on e-commerce platforms. The approach used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which is a collaborative approach that actively involves MSME actors in the process of identifying problems, training, and mentoring in digital marketing based on social media. The results show an increase in business knowledge and ability in using digital media for promotion and distribution. In addition, the formation of a coffee lover community is bold, which expands networks and market potential. This program shows that digital transformation at the village MSME level can be an effective strategy in strengthening competitiveness and accelerating local economic growth sustainably.

Abstract

Pelayanan Intensive Care Unit (ICU) menghadirkan tantangan besar dalam aspek komunikasi, khususnya saat menyampaikan informasi medis yang kompleks kepada keluarga pasien kritis. Family meeting merupakan salah satu pendekatan komunikasi yang efektif dalam konteks ini. Namun, di ICU Primaya Hospital Depok belum tersedia pedoman terstruktur untuk pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pedoman family meeting berbasis protokol SPIKES yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan ICU. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik triangulasi berupa observasi video, wawancara mendalam, dan telaah dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik family meeting masih bersifat variatif dan belum terdokumentasi secara standar. Berdasarkan analisis data, disusun model pedoman yang mengadaptasi enam langkah dalam protokol SPIKES (Setting, Perception, Invitation, Knowledge, Emotion, dan Strategy/Summary) sesuai konteks ICU. Pedoman ini diharapkan menjadi acuan pelaksanaan family meeting yang lebih efektif, meningkatkan kualitas komunikasi antara tenaga medis dan keluarga pasien, serta mendukung mutu pelayanan ICU.

Abstract

Providing quality public services is a governmental obligation, one of which is by establishing Community Health Centers (UPTD Puskesmas) to deliver healthcare services to all levels of society. Optimal service delivery requires a high level of work discipline; however, there is currently an issue of increasing cases of work discipline violations at UPTD Puskesmas Kota-1. As a consequence, there has been a monthly reduction in BPJS capitation funds received by each staff member. UPTD Puskesmas Kota-1 operates within a specific context that differs from other institutions regarding the measurement of employee work discipline. For example, field assignments often render fingerprint attendance less applicable; therefore, the health center continues to employ a manual system as a complementary method. This study aims to examine the effect of fingerprint attendance systems and internal control on work discipline. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 40 employees at UPTD Puskesmas Kota-1. The analytical method used was multiple linear regression. The results show that both fingerprint attendance and internal control have a significant partial effect on work discipline. Simultaneously, the implementation of fingerprint attendance and internal control also significantly influences work discipline, with a coefficient of determination of 46%, while the remaining 54% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

Kesiapsiagaan rumah sakit dalam menghadapi bencana merupakan aspek penting dalam menjamin keberlangsungan pelayanan kesehatan saat terjadi keadaan darurat dan bencana. Hospital Safety Index (HSI) yang dikembangkan oleh WHO (2015) menjadi instrumen evaluasi untuk mengukur kesiapan rumah sakit dalam menghadapi keadaan darurat dan bencana. RSUD Lebong sebagai satu-satunya rumah sakit rujukan di Kabupaten Lebong telah mengembangkan Hospital Disaster Plan (HDP) tahun 2023, sebagai pedoman utama dalam penanggulangan bencana. Tujuan penelitian ini mengevaluasi kesiapsiagaan RSUD Lebong dalam menghadapi bencana berdasarkan modul 4 HSI,  yang berfokus pada pengelolaan kondisi darurat dan bencana. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan manajemen RS yang terkait lansgung dengan tim penanggulangan bencana, analisis dokumen HDP, self-assessment HSI, serta observasi langsung ke fasilitas rumah sakit.  Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, RSUD Lebong memperoleh skor 73%, kategori A (tinggi). Rumah sakit telah memiliki dokumen HDP yang komprehensif, namun masih terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam implementasinya. Beberapa kendala yang ditemukan antara lain kurangnya frekuensi simulasi bencana, keterbatasan dalam koordinasi lintas sektor, serta infrastruktur bencana yang masih perlu peningkatan. RSUD Lebong memiliki tingkat kesiapsiagaan bencana kategori A (Tinggi), yang berarti rumah sakit dapat difungsikan pada kondisi kedaruratan dan bencana. Direkomendasikan untuk melanjutkan kegiatan peningkatan kapasitas manajemen kedaruratan, dan bencana serta melakukan upaya pengurangan risiko untuk ancaman kondisi kedaruratan, dan bencana jangka menengah dan panjang.

Abstract

The implementation of the Regional Public Service Agency Financial Management Pattern 'Pola Pengelolaan Keuangan Badan Layanan Umum Daerah' (hereinafter referred to as PPK-BLUD) at the Puskesmas Tanjungsari demonstrates significant results in enhancing the quality of health services and financial management. This paper aims to analyze the implementation of PPK-BLUD based on Merilee Grindle's policy implementation theory; which highlights the relationship between policy content; and implementation context. The writing method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation; interviews; and document reviews. The results of the study indicate that the autonomy provided through PPK-BLUD enables the Puskesmas Tanjungsari to manage its budget more flexibly; enhance financial transparency through the application of a digital economic system; and implement service innovations such as an electronic queuing system and QRIS payments. The success of the implementation is supported by oversight from the Health Office and community participation through discussion forums such as the Self-Awareness Survey (SMD) and Village Community Deliberation (MMD). However, challenges remain regarding employee commitment and coordination between teams that still need improvement. In conclusion, the implementation of PPK-BLUD at the Puskesmas Tanjungsari has succeeded in enhancing the efficiency of financial management; the quality of health services; and financial independence. This success can serve as a model for other Community Health Centers in implementing similar policies to improve health services in the region.
