Abstract

According to Statistic of Bandung City in 2018, the number of women in the fertile period (15-49 years) has increased from the previous year (2017) of 108.816 people. Thats has an effect on the increasing use of inpatient rooms at women and children hospital. Pregnant and postpartum patients have different emotional and behavioral stability. Uncomfortable inpatient conditions will affect the healing process of the patients apart from the aspect of medical treatment. The solution to this problem is to use the concept of Healing environment. Thia article aims to examine the role of healing environment in achieving comfort in the impatient rooms at women and children hospital. Methods of research that has been done is qualitative. The analysis was performed with observation of application of healing environment’s principles at RSIA Limijati Bandung, RSAB Harapan Kita West Jakarta, and Kemang Medical Care South Jakarta. The result of observation then will assess and used as a guide of the design process. Hoped this article can inspire interior designer to create of impatient rooms in accordance with patient psychology to create rooms comfort for patient.

Abstract

The role of interior design in creative industry has to accommodate to three goals; function, aesthetic, and visitor’s pyschological state. In a cafe, a designer can be counted as a success if the cafe has a high visitor number and becomes a trend in the local society. One of the café is a popular trend of Korean Theme made famous internationally through the internet and social media in this era of globalization which the Indonesian people exposed to hallyu wave or the Korean fever. Chingu Café located in Bandung that adapts Korean Street View theme to attract visitors who idolize Korean culture. This research aims to determine how the process of interior elements are formed so as to lead the visitor perceptions of Chingu cafe feel the atmosphere themed Korean street view. The method used in this research is qualitative method which include data collecting (via survey), documentation, and group discussion. Based on this research, there are a few elements that attracts visitors; traditional Korean house architecture, interior elements such as mural, signage, neon box, and decorative elements that resembles the elements on Korean streets such as wall with Korean writings, Sakura flower, and vending machines that depict the atmosphere in urban of South Korea. Visitors can feel the thematic atmosphere based on experiences from watching Korean shows or vlog videos traveling in Korea on the internet. Basically, the establishment of an atmosphere of space through the interior elements utilize Chingu café used stereotypes in society about Korea.

Abstract

Pekanbaru merupakan ibu kota Provinsi Riau yang memiliki visi untuk mewujudkan identitas kotadengan lingkup budaya Melayu Riau. Upaya pelestarian budaya menjadi langkah yang ditetapkan olehpemerintah khususnya pada sektor pariwisata. Salah satunya dengan ditetapkannya rumah singgah TuanKadi sebagai situs cagar budaya yang menjadi objek destinasi wisata kebudayaan dan sejarah dengan cirikhas bangunan tradisional Melayu Riau dari segi eksterior maupun interiornya. Rumah Tuan Kadi dapatdikunjungi penduduk sekitar maupun wisatawan, kegiatan pemotretan, serta kegiatan kebudayaan olehpemerintah.Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengidentifikasiragamhiasornamenpadabangunantradisional sebagai salah satu ciri khas kebudayaan Melayu Riau. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitianini adalah kualitatif deskriptif interpretatif dengan menganalisis data observasi dan dokumentasi padarumah Tuan Kadi disertaidengan wawancaradan keterkaitannya dengan landasan teori mengenaipenerapan ornamen dan ragam hias melayu pada bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkanidentifikasi mengenai penerapan ragam hias ornamen pada elemen interior yang ada pada rumahtradisional di Kota Pekanbaru. Dari hasil yang diperoleh ragam hias ornamen pada rumah Tuan Kadidipengaruhi oleh kebudayaan Melayu yang tersebar pada masa kejayaan kerajaan Siak Sri Indra Purasebagai tempat persinggahan sultan dan diambil alih oleh Belanda sebagai kantor. Penerapan ornamenpada eksterior dan interior pada rumah tradisional dapat menjadi acuan rekomendasi dalam perancangandesain yang merefleksikan identitas budaya pada bangunan ruang publik di Kota Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The goal of the research is to provide an explanation of how retail shelves are designed with sustainability in mind, utilizing the Atumics model. Design sustainability is one endeavor to connect the elements of space with human activity in order to remain sustainable. It addresses the conditions and bad repercussions in an environmental crisis, health, and user comfort. Using the model atumics, this research attempts to address the issue of one of the space elements, specifically furniture in the shape of a shed shelf that is used to keep the store's necessities and to exhibit the product for sale. The Atumics model is a sustainable furniture design that combines elements of tradition and current design by combining many design references with pre-existing vintage goods. In order to process data from observations and literary studies, this research use qualitative methodologies. It is anticipated that the findings of this study will serve as the foundation for the development of new furniture innovations with broader designs that can be sold to a larger market. smaller in size and form, and simple to modify to fit the demands of the current market. Furniture is not only utilized in retail establishments; it can also be positioned in other establishments until the property is used as a storage facility

Abstract

This research endeavors to address the challenges faced by Special Learning Centers (SLBs), particularly SLBs-C, which operate in limited spaces and utilize room dividers to separate classrooms. The utilization of these dividers presents limitations and impedes the learning process for children with intellectual disabilities. This study adopts a design thinking methodology, focusing on the observations and requirements for flexible spaces at SLB-C Karya Bhakti. Data collection involved stakeholder interviews, questionnaires, visual observations, and a literature review. The gathered data was subsequently analyzed through a SWOT analysis and organized using a mind-mapping technique to develop a design concept for an optimal room divider that enhances room flexibility. The identified challenges served as the foundation for an iterative design process, resulting in a product tailored to the specific needs of SLB-C Karya Bhakti. This product underwent validation with stakeholders and experts before its implementation. The outcome of the design is a recommendation for optimizing the use of room dividers with materials and designs that cater to the requirements of children with intellectual disabilities. The implementation of an optimized room divider has demonstrated a positive impact on the concentration of children with intellectual disabilities, enhancing the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Literacy is a fundamental prerequisite for human comprehension. While Bandung boasts a diverse array of cafes that incorporate unique concepts such as movie, music, or nature themes, the presence of library-themed cafes remains a minority. Consequently, strategically incorporating the library cafe trend into contemporary life, encompassing aspects like lifestyle, presents a compelling strategy to promote literacy. By presenting the library concept within a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing cafe ambiance, this research employs a qualitative approach grounded in design thinking. Data collection involves questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Literacy is an indispensable aspect of daily life. One effective approach to enhancing literacy is through the design of short films that integrate literacy into the fabric of one’s lifestyle. By portraying literacy as a fashionable and engaging activity, short films can inspire college students and learners to incorporate reading into their daily routines, thereby reinforcing literacy culture.

Abstract

Coworking spaces have become an important phenomenon in the modern world of work, as they provide a space where individuals and teams can work collaboratively and independently. This research presents a new coworking space design in Bandung by adopting a place and activity use approach. This approach aims to create spaces that are not only functional, but also inspire and support creativity and productivity. Through environmental analysis research and potential user needs, and design spaces that can accommodate various types of activities and functions. This coworking space aims to become a dynamic center of activity with various zones, from open work areas to creative corners and meeting rooms designed to foster collaboration. 'Placemaking' describes the role of space as a place that can create unique experiences and enhance the well-being of its occupants. With this approach, hope that this coworking space will not only meet the functional needs of its users, but also become a central place for social interaction and innovation. By integrating uses and activities into spatial design, this project aims to respond to the dynamics of modern work development and support the growth of the professional community in Bandung. Abstract

Bogor City is a city known as a center for business, transportation, and tourism. One of the cities in Bogor that is a tourist destination with strategic potential for recreational tourism, staycations, and business is Sentul City, a city area that implements green city development with integration between nature, and the area provides a positive correlation with good health both mentally and physically, and is one of the cities in Indonesia that provides real access to nature. The significant growth in the number of tourists shows the need for adequate accommodation facilities to meet the needs of tourism accommodation. Therefore, with the presence of a 4-star Boutique Hotel with facilities according to user needs. Located on Jl. MH. Thamrin, this hotel targets tourists and business people. This design aims to create a 4-star boutique hotel with an attractive identity and has its own characteristics. The design of this hotel focuses on visitor comfort and meets hotel standards and the biophilic approach is emphasized to strengthen the design that describes the Sentul City area. The design methods used include data collection through literature studies, observations, and comparative studies with similar hotels. It is hoped that this design can provide benefits to the community, community, and educational institutions, and the field of interior science. Abstract

Salah satu Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang terdampak pandemi Covid-19 adalah usaha milik Kang Sujana yang merupakan warga Kampung Ciganitri Desa Lengkong Kabupaten Bandung. Kang Sujana menjual beragam jajanan tradisional khas Sunda dengan produk andalan yaitu Awug dan Surabi. Penjualan selama pandemi hanya bisa dari mulut ke mulut tanpa tempat berjualan yang representatif dan menarik pembeli. Perlu upaya dalam meningkatkan kualitas tempat usaha Kang Sujana melalui sentuhan desain yang diproses secara digital. Tim pengabdian masyarakat yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa Program Studi Desain Interior Universitas Telkom memberikan solusi desain sesuai perkembangan tren saat ini. Desain yang direkomendasikan merupakan representasi dari produk yang dijual dengan pertimbangan kebutuhan dan aktifitas pengguna. Hasil akhir berupa 3D model sarana usaha, desain grafis menu dan poster, serta logo usaha yang direalisasikan setelahnya. Hasil desain yang telah direalisasikan diharapkan membantu UMKM Kang Sujana dengan nama usaha Awug dan Surabi Pedo dapat bersaing dan lebih maju. Hasil desain dan realisasinya diharapkan juga dapat menjadi ajang promosi serta lebih menarik perhatian calon konsumenya.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara agraris yang terdiri dari banyak kepulauan yangtersebar diseluruh dan menjadikan Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan terbesar didunia. Setiap sudut pulau di Indonesia memiliki pelabuhan sebagai tempat bersandarnyakapal. Pelabuhan Merak merupakan salah satu pelabuhan tersibuk di Indonesia denganmelayani perjalanan 32 kapal ferry yang melakukan penyebrangan dari pulau Jawamenuju Pulau Sumatera. Terminal Penumpang Pelabuhan Eksekutif Merak merupakanterminal penumpang yang terdapat pusat perbelanjaan (mall) di dalamnya. Pada saatsuasana libur panjang seperti mudik lebaran atau tahun baru, di Pelabuhan Merakseringkali terjadi penumpukan penumpang pada terminal penumpang danmengakibatkan cross circulation antara penumpang kapal dan pengunjung mall.Berdasarkan latar belakang permasalahan di atas, maka dalam proyek tugas akhir inipenulis mengusulkan adanya perancangan ulang pada interior terminal penumpangpelabuhan yang dapat memenuhi fasilitas dan ruang yang dapat menunjang aktivitaspengguna, ruang interior yang ada harus dapat mewadahi pengguna dengan berbagaimacam latar belakang yang berbeda agar mampu melaksanakan proses kegiatan yang adapada pelabuhan dengan cepat, mudah, nyaman dan aman tanpa melupakan standarisasidari sebuah perancangan terminal penumpang pelabuhan.Kata kunci: analogi, pelabuhan, aktivitas, sirkulasi
