Abstract

Infestasi serangga merupakan salah satu penyebab yang membatasi aktivitas pembibitan. Kumbang malam merupakan salah satu jenis serangga yang sering disebut-sebut sebagai hama di persemaian (Apogonia sp). Hal ini dilakukan karena serangan kumbang malam (Apogonia sp.), salah satu serangan yang terjadi di pembibitan kelapa sawit, dapat merusak perkembangan dan keragaman bibit kelapa sawit. Selain itu, bekas gigitan pada daun bibit yang terinfeksi dapat memberikan citra buruk dan mengurangi preferensi pelanggan terhadap bibit tersebut. Diperkirakan populasi kumbang malam (Apogonia sp.) di pembibitan kelapa sawit akan menurun akibat penggunaan perangkap lampu berwarna. Kumbang malam (Apogonia sp.) bersifat nokturnal, artinya aktif pada malam hari dan memakan daun bibit kelapa sawit. Di PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV, Perkebunan Adolina, dan Pembibitan Afdeling III, penelitian ini sudah berlangsung januari sampai Februari 2022. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi kumbang malam (Apogonia sp.) di pembibitan kelapa sawit untuk melihat seberapa baik perangkap cahaya dari berbagai warna bekerja melawan mereka. Teknik penelitian non faktorial dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) menggunakan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, sehingga jumlah sampel 25 alat. Perlakuan tersebut adalah P0 (cahaya putih), P1 (cahaya merah), P2 (cahaya biru), P3 (cahaya kuning), dan P4 (cahaya ungu). Untuk mengurangi penggunaan pestisida kimia yang dapat membahayakan organisme dan predator, temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pencerahan kepada masyarakat umum dan perusahaan perkebunan kelapa sawit tentang penggunaan perangkap lampu berwarna untuk mengelola kumbang malam (Apogonia sp.) dalam minyak. pembibitan sawit. pembibitan terdekat untuk kelapa sawit.Dari hasil penelitian bahwasan perangkap dengan lampu berwarna ungu memiliki tingkat kemampuan dalam hal menarik hama kumbang malam (Apogonia sp) lebih tinggi jumlahnya dengan lampu berwarna putih, biru, merah dan kuning.

Abstract

The implementation of the Community Service Program will be carried out in East Sambirejo Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency for approximately 2 months. In implementing PPM, we designed an innovation in making a Cutting Board as a base for chopping FFB along with a container that functions to separate impurities in the form of sand, soil and other solid impurities. The implementation of the Community Service Program regarding Making Cutting Boards for Cutting Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) was carried out on Tuesday 23 August 2022. The activities carried out while carrying out the community service program were social services, social service activities in cleaning and caring for PKK parks and socialization of the use of cutting boards Socialization activities regarding the manufacture and use of Cutting Board tools. Community Service activities carried out by our group have been carried out well and received a good reception by the community. And the community is very enthusiastic about this activity and adds to their knowledge about making and using cutting boards. This community service activity is very beneficial for the community so that the community wants this activity to be carried out for a longer period of time

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan di areal dan Rumah Kaca Kampus Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian Agrobisnis Perkebunan LPP Medan. Penelitian dimulai dari tanggal 1 Maret 2017 sampai 27 Juni 2017.Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor dengan 3 level perlakuan untuk faktor pertama, dan 3 level perlakuan untuk faktor kedua. Faktor 1 merupakan komposisi limbah kelapa sawit yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu : L1: 100% TKKS, L2 : 50% TKKS + 50% Pelepah Kelapa Sawit, dan L3: 50% TKKS + 25%Pelepah Kelapa Sawit +25% Batang Dalam. Faktor 2 merupakan dosis NaOH konsentrasi 20% dengan campuran Tanin masing-masing perlakuan sebanyak 14,8 ml yang terdiri dari 3 taraf , yaitu :N1 : NaOH 45 gr, N2 : NaOH 65 gr, dan N3 : NaOH 85 gr. Penggunaan limbah pabrik kelapa sawit TKKS 100 %menunjukkan adanya respon terhadap parameter pH green polybag dengan nilai pH 9,67. pHgreen polybag telah mendekati pH bahan organic yang telah dikomposkan sehingga mudah terdekomposisi didalam tanah.Pemberian dosisi NaOH sebanyak 65 g menunjukkan adanya respon terhadap parameter ratio C/N green polybag dengan nilai ratio C/N 6,06%.Interaksi antara penggunaan limbah pabrik kelapa sawit dan dosis NaOH menunjukkan tidak adanya respon terhadap semua parameter yang diamati.

Abstract

Suspension media is made of natural ingredients to multiply microorganisms that can accelerate the destruction of organic matter. Banana hump contains water, iron, phosphorus, calcium, carbohydrates, calories and protein, which are potential as organic fertilizers. Application of banana weevil fertilizer is expected to increase the carrying capacity of the soil for the availability of organic matter and nutrients. The purpose of this study was to determine the best concentration or dose of organic liquid fertilizer for banana weevil on the vegetative growth of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) seedlings in the Main Nursery. Based on this statement, this research was compiled with the object of oil palm in the Main Nursery. This research was conducted in the Nursery Practice Garden area at STIP-AP Medan. Soil analysis was carried out at the Soil Laboratory of the Agricultural Technology Research Institute (BPTP) of North Sumatra. The time of the study was carried out for 8 months, from January 2021 - August 2021. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 2 factors, namely Factor (1) Liquid Organic Fertilizer Banana Cobs and Factor (2) Compound Fertilizer (NPK) 16:16 :16. The treatment was repeated 3 times, with the number of samples being 2 plants so that the sample population was 54 plants. Parameters observed were seedling height, stem circumference, number of leaves, leaf width, root wet weight, shoot wet weight, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, total nitrogen nutrient content and C-organic nutrient content. The data obtained were analyzed statistically by analysis of variance (ANOVA) with 5% and 1% significant difference tests. The results showed that the treatment of banana weevil liquid organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer had no significant effect on the observed parameters. However, the biomass formed was significantly affected as indicated by the weight parameter. The availability of total nitrogen and C-organic nutrients in Ultisol soil showed a very low classification with total nitrogen values ​​of 0.07 – 0.09% and C-organic values ​​of 0.22 – 0.54%.

Abstract

Pengolahan citra digital dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara diantaranya adalah representasi dan pemodelan citra, peningkatan kualitas citra, restorasi citra, analisis citra, rekonstruksi citra dan kompresi citra. Metode Euclidean distance yaitu metode klasifikasi tetangga terdekatnya dengan menghitung jarak antara dua buah objek, perbandingan ini dapat dilakukan dengan cara menghitung jarak Euclidean (Euclidean distance). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisa deskriptif, dengan mengumpulkan sampel daun gulma sebanyak 400 daun gulma, yang terdiri dari 100 sampel daun gulma berdaun lebar, 100 sampel daun gulma berdaun sempit, 100 sampel daun gulma teki-tekian, 100 sampel daun gulma pakis-pakisan yang diolah menggunakan software image-j. Bentuk dan struktur ciri daun dari masing-masing jenis gulma memiliki struktur ciri daun yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

Palm oil processing in the Palm Oil Mill (PKS) is carried out by extracting the fruit flesh (mesocarp) of the oil palm fruit in the palm oil mill processing with a palm oil mill processing machine. Realizing the results of palm oil processing requires a machine that operates in good condition to produce the output the machine is following the desired achievement with good screw press machine performance without any problems experienced during processing. This research was conducted by direct observation of the state of the screw press machine and taking daily secondary data in the form of loading time data, total production, production targets, ideal cycle time, actual, cycle time, downtime, operation time, and problem data on the screw press machine for 6 months from June-November 2020 on 2 screw press. From the results of the study, it was found that the constraints that caused the low-performance value of the screw press machine based on the value of idling and minor stoppages and reduced speed which resulted in the machine often experiencing momentary stops and a decrease in rotation of the screw press every month due to the large capacity of the machine that was not following the capacity. factory and the condition of the machine and the lack of supervision and control in humans cause the machine to often experience a decrease in performance on the screw press machine. From the results of the analysis of the results carried out, it was found that alternative solutions to improve the performance of the screw press machine were caused by 4 factors based on the identification carried out using a cause-and-effect diagram by paying attention to the critical point of a machine caused by human factors, machines, materials and methods based on analysis. Screw press machine performance is based on the value of idling and minor stoppages and reduced speed.

Abstract

The cessation of the processing process at the palm oil mill will cause losses to the company, which can result inlow productivity of the plant. Damage to equipment at the palm oil mill requires more costs to repair the damage.For this reason, good maintenance is needed for each equipment used in the processing process using the normaldistribution method. In this study the tool used was Screw Press. The purpose of this study was to determine thevalue of Realibility and Maintainabiity by using a normal distribution and to determine the cause of damage to theScrew Press machine. This research stage was carried out by taking data on damage and repair of Screw Press inApril-June 2017 and processing data using normal distribution. The data needed in normal distribution is the valueof Realibility, Maintainability, and standard devisia. By doing this data processing, the Screw Press machine canoperate well with reliability value in April-June 2017 on screw press 1 machines at 98%, 98%, 99% andmaintainability value of 21.78 hours, 18.8 hours, 19 , 18 hours. Whereas in screw press machine 2 in April - June2017 the reliability value is 99%, 98%, 95% and the Maintainability value is 19.9 hours, 18.68 hours and 18 hours.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to calculate boiler performance by knowing energy losses during uap production.Technical analysis on the boiler is needed, as an effort to increase efficiency and know how much energy iswasted as a loss. Factors causing the greatest heat loss / heat loss in the boiler include: "heat loss due to dryflue gas, uap content in the flue gas, water content in fuel, water content in air supply and others". Heat loss /heat loss or also can be called energy loss is one of the important factors that is very influential in identifyingthe efficiency of the boiler.For that analysis study is carried out with the calculation of heat loss in order todetermine the magnitude of performance decline and the causes of decreased performance. Based on data andanalysis of the direct method it is known that the highest energy loss is 26.6% with an efficiency of 74.5%.There needs to be an improvement in the control of the fuel settings and the incoming air optimally by usingthe Oxygen Trim Control which functions to measure the oxygen concentration in the chimney andautomatically regulates the oxygen in the air entering the burner so as to produce combustion with optimalefficiency. And by using an economizer on preheating feed water temperature can increase boiler efficiency

Abstract

Occupational Safety is the protection of work security experienced by workers both physically and mentally in the work environment. The production process in the boiler division has a very large potential for danger, so it is very important to improve training in the field of work safety. Several things that have potential hazards include the use of incomplete PPE, safety equipment, operation and maintenance, and operator negligence. This study identified the hazards in each activity at PT XYZ. The research findings cover 9 work activities and 14 potential hazards. Scraping activity in the boiler kitchen has the highest work accident rate, which is 34.89% and the operation of the control panel does not cause accidents, with an accident percentage of 0%. The average level of low risk is 10 and medium is 3. However, the PT XYZ has not fully implemented the complete use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the Boiler Station.

Abstract

The burning of shells and fiber as boiler fuel in palm oil mills produces waste in the form of ash which is not utilized and managed optimally, resulting in environmental damage. Based on the chemical compounds contained in fly ash, its abundant availability, its cheap price and easy-to-obtain, fly ash can be used as a cheap raw material in claybaths as a substitute for clay and calcium carbonate. This study aims to determine the effective weight of boiler ash in reducing kernel and shell production losses at the kernel processing station. This study used variations in the weight of boiler fly ash, namely 3000 g, 3500 g, 4000 g, 4500 g, and 5000 g which were tested first in the laboratory. The application of boiler ash variations that were close to the norm was tested directly in the claybath. The best weight parameter for using fly ash is found in the weight variation of B5 (5000 g) with a loss of production in the sample of 3.98% or 0.159% of the oil palm fresh fruit bunches. At the time of application, boiler fly ash should be mixed with water at a ratio of 1:2 (fly ash to water) to result the best effect. Key words : Boilers, Clay bath, Fly Ash, Kernel, Shell
