Abstract

Quality control is something that needs to be done by the company in order to minimize and prevent the smallest possible damage to the product. This research was conducted with the aim of controlling and improving the quality of PT. KTP, especially in children's clothing products, uses the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) and the SPC (Statistical Process Control) method to determine the factors causing product damage. From the results of the analysis performed using the control chart, it is known that it has a Control Limit (CL) of 0.0015 with an upper control limit of 0.0154 and a lower control limit of -0.0124. Based on these results, it is known that there is no data that exceeds the control limit or it can be said that the quality control in the company is still within the control limit. It is known that based on the Pareto diagram, the highest percentage of defective products is loose stitches by 48%, followed by cracked screen printing defects of 39%, and the last is torn defective products by 13%. Based on production data obtained from PT. KTP is known that the total number of production from September 2021 to August 2022 is 373,351 pcs with the number of defective products of 548 pcs. The DPMO (Defect Per Million Opportunity) value obtained on average is 1451.43 with a sigma value of 4.55. This shows that the level of sigma at PT. The ID card has a good sigma level which is the average USA industry standard but still needs further improvement.

Abstract

Global warming is one of the most pressing environmental issues of the 21st century, with far-reaching impacts ranging from extreme climate change to threats to biodiversity and human life. The increase in the average temperature of the atmosphere and oceans, driven by human activities, particularly greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, exacerbates this situation. Negative effects such as polar ice melting, rising sea levels, and ecosystem disruptions threaten the survival of many species. Growing global awareness of the importance of understanding and addressing global warming has led to various initiatives, including scientific competitions focused on global warming. These activities aim to educate the public and promote innovation in finding sustainable solutions to this environmental problem. In these competitions, the role of judges is crucial in evaluating the quality and relevance of the scientific works submitted by participants. Through community engagement carried out by the Management Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia in collaboration with SMA Kristen Tunas Bangsa Sunter Jakarta Utara, this competition successfully inspired and nurtured young generations in facing the challenges of global warming. The event included presentations, discussions, and Q&A sessions aimed at developing creative ideas and making a real contribution to global efforts in combating global warming.

Abstract

Inventory management is a systematic approach to sourcing, storing, and selling inventory both raw materials (components) and finished goods (products). In business terms, inventory management means the right stock, at the right levels, in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost as well as price. Inventory management refers to the process of ordering, storing and using a company's inventory. This includes the management of raw materials, components and finished products, as well as warehousing and processing such items. For companies with complex supply chains and manufacturing processes, balancing the risks of inventory gluts and shortages is especially difficult. At the same time, inventory can be thought of as a liability (if not in an accounting sense). A large inventory carries the risk of spoilage, theft, damage or shifts in demand. Inventory must be insured, and if it is not sold in time it may have to be disposed of at clearance prices or simply destroyed. For these reasons, inventory management is important for businesses of any size. Knowing when to restock inventory, what amounts to purchase or produce, what price to pay as well as when to sell and at what pric can easily become complex decisions. Small businesses will often keep track of stock manually and determine the reorder points and quantities using Excel formulas. Larger businesses will use specialized enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

Abstract

As a place or area of meeting as well as interacting through activities that can be supported in it, the Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) can be explained to have a variety of quite complex work programs that are expected to be implemented well. There are at least 3 (three) aspects of the function of the RPTRA work program that must be implemented, namely services to children, services to the community and disaster services. This study aims to assist the RPTRA management in evaluating which work programs are the top priority that must be carried out. This research involved RPTRA administrators in the Sunter area, North Jakarta. Evaluation assistance is carried out when implementing community service activities with the same topic. The results of this study found that in the aspect of service to children, the performance of making RPTRA as a playground and forum forum for children became a priority indicator of all the existing indicators. Furthermore, in the aspect of service to the community explained that the performance to make RPTRA as a place for complaints of children and women became the main point. In the aspect of disaster services, it is explained that the RPTRA can be used as a container for disaster prevention at any time (for example: floods, fires, and so on). With the limitations of existing research methods, researchers expect further research to explore aspects of other important indicators that are considered by RPTRA administrators in carrying out work programs.

Abstract

Technological developments and globalization require foreign language skills. This phenomenon causes the high urgency of linguistic competence. This existence has also sporadically triggered the emergence of various foreign language courses in Indonesia. However, this phenomenon seems to be shifting along with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. The pandemic era forced foreign language institutions to survive financially to cover operational costs as a result of significant changes before and after the pandemic. However, financial problems are not the only problems foreign language course institutions face—changes from conventional learning models oriented from face-to-face learning to online-based learning. Creating a language course institution changes the various dimensions in it. Research on various problems of foreign language courses in the pandemic era was conducted qualitatively through interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving entrepreneurs of intensive foreign language courses in the Tangerang area and its surroundings. Through FGD, it was found that it was necessary to make massive and simultaneous adjustments by course institutions in this pandemic era. The adjustments referred to include changes in teaching methods and techniques and adjustments in terms of promotion. The findings in the FGD will be further developed through an enrichment program involving various parties, including students, teachers, and business owners, for intensive foreign language courses. Community Service Activities (PKM) are expected to have implications for competitiveness data and the ability of foreign language course institutions to survive during the pandemic but still maintain quality.

Abstract

Salted fish is one important product resulting from the process of catching fish. It is mostly produced by residents who live close to the sea. Besides being sold in large quantities to collectors, salted fish can also be sold independently by salted fish producers. This activity aims to identify the needs of salted fish producers in Kali Baru, Cilincing, North Jakarta, for increasing the selling value of salted fish. This is important so that salted fish producers receive better compensation for the salted fish produced. A community service team from Universitas Bunda Mulia carried out field observations to identify needs of producer partners. The team observed that partners needed more “irik” bamboo mats, especially when fish arrive in large quantities, so that fish could be dried in one batch. Additionally, for the boiling process of small fish, partners need “laha” baskets to support the optimization of the process. To increase the selling value of salted fish, partners need educational counseling support for making labels and packaging for their products. They could also benefit from counseling on how to sell salted fish online, especially in an online marketplace. After identification of the needs of salted fish producer partners, continued community service is planned to address these needs.

Abstract

The implementation of an occupational health and safety (K3) program can be an effort for mining companies to make efforts to prevent accidents in mining work activities such as coal hauling. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of K3 (occupational health and safety) on coal hauling activities by PT. XYZ with HAZOP and HIRARC methods. The research was carried out using data collection methods such as interviews, observations, and document studies. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using  the HAZOP and HIRARC methods, which are data analysis methods that aim to determine the potential hazards that exist in mining work activities. The results showed that through the HAZOP analysis showed that there were 12 sources of danger in 5 work activities in the Coal hauling section. These 12 hazard sources are divided into 4 hazard categories with 56% high risk, 24% moderate risk, 15% extreme conditions, and 5% low risk. Based on this, it can be seen that the potential hazard by causing work accidents is quite significant. Meanwhile, the HIRARC analysis shows that there are 6 sources of danger with 9 potential work accidents which are divided into 4 categories of hazards as much as 51% high risk 4 potential risks, 21% extreme risk with 1 high value potential risk, 18% low risk with 3 potential risks, and 10% medium risk with 1 potential hazard. This potential and source of danger has and will continue to allow for the occurrence of losses, both material and physical injury to employees.
