Abstract

Cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age might inspire youths to pursue entrepreneurship. Introducing the entrepreneurial spirit is crucial for high school students. You are expected to have a business plan ready to be implemented when you become an undergraduate student. Faculty of Economics and Business at Pancasila University (FEB UP) mandates its academics to engage in community service as part of their responsibilities. One type of service involves fostering an entrepreneurial mindset through social interaction. FEB UP lecturers conduct entrepreneurship outreach lectures to help high school students understand entrepreneurship. Abstract

The rapid development of digital financial services has significantly influenced students’ financial behavior, particularly in managing personal finances amid limited allowances and the increasing use of paylater services. This study aims to analyze the effect of allowance constraints and paylater usage on students’ financial management, with financial literacy as a moderating variable. The population of this study consists of university students domiciled in the Greater Jakarta area (JABODETABEK). The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling using the purposive sampling method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that allowance constraints have a positive and significant effect on students’ financial management, while paylater usage does not have a significant effect. Furthermore, financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on students’ financial management. However, financial literacy does not moderate the relationship between allowance constraints and students’ financial management, nor does it moderate the relationship between paylater usage and students’ financial management. The R-square value of 0.896 indicates that the proposed model has strong explanatory power. These findings suggest that students’ financial management is more strongly influenced by allowance constraints and financial literacy than by the use of paylater services

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect dividend policy in companies in the energy and basic materials sectors listed in the Kompas100 Index. The independent variables used are profitability, solvency, and liquidity, while the dependent variables are dividend policy, and the moderation variable is market ratio. This study uses a quantitative approach with 5 samples of companies in the energy and basic materials sectors listed in the Kompas100 Index for the 2019-2024 period. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. This research uses secondary data, namely the company's annual financial statement data. The analysis method used was multiple regression analysis using Eviews12. The results of the study show that profitability, solvency, and liquidity both partially and simultaneously do not have a significant effect on dividend policy. In addition, the market ratio variable is not able to moderate the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables.

Abstract

The study intends to evaluate the influence of peer-to-peer lending (P2P lending) on banks performance, focusing on differences in core capital classifications. Using data from the Financial Service Authority and Bank Indonesia websites, the analysis spans the fourth quarter of 2021 to the third quarter of 2023. The results reveal that P2P lending negatively affects bank performance, with more significant adverse impacts observed in banks with lower core capital, categorized under KBMI 1 and 2, compared to KBMI 3 and 4. These findings underscore the need for regulatory policies tailored to address the vulnerabilities of smaller banks, including measures to promote consolidation and capital augmentation. This study offers valuable insights into the interplay between financial technology and banking regulations, providing practical implications for policymakers and stakeholders.

Abstract

The Effect of World Oil Price Fluctuations and the Rupiah Exchange on the Profitability of Oil and Gas Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2025 Period This study aims to analyze the influence of global oil prices and the rupiah exchange rate on the profitability of oil and gas companies. This study used quantitative methods using secondary data in the form of annual reports from oil and gas companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination (R2), and hypothesis testing using SPSS 25. The results showed that global oil prices had a significant partial effect on profitability, and the rupiah exchange rate also had a significant partial effect on profitability. The Adjusted R Square value was 0.579. This means that the variability of the global oil price and rupiah exchange rate variables only explained 57.9% of Return on Assets, while the remaining 42.1% was derived from external factors not included in this study.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the effect of financial sector development on the financial and social performance of MFIs. This research is a quantitative research. The population is all MFIs listed on MixMarket. This study uses purposive sampling with MFI criteria that have complete data needed from 1999 to 2019. This study uses panel data because it uses MFIs from nine countries but in different years. Data collected using data from MixMarket with a research period between 1999 and 2019. The results show that the revival of the financial sector has a negative impact on the independence of MFIs. On the other hand, progress in the financial sector also has a negative impact on MFIs for the poor. This condition indicates that there is competition between the two, as developments in the financial sector have a negative impact on the MFI's ability to generate higher incomes. The implication of this finding is that policy makers are more careful in determining the operational reach of the traditional financial sector and MFIs.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pengembangan sektor keuangan terhadap kinerja keuangan dan sosial LKM.
