Abstract

Over the years, Dayak groups in Central Kalimantan, especially the Ngaju Dayak tribe, have operated in line with their traditional norms and expertise, preserving their cultural identity in the face of modern challenges. However, the pressures of technology and globalization often impede their ability to maintain business sustainability, creating a complex dynamic between tradition and adaptation. The Ngaju Dayak culture is characterized by robust ideals embedded in everyday life, such as solidarity, reverence for the environment, and cooperation. These traditional values significantly shape their daily lives and extend into their commercial practices. These cultural values deeply influence corporate practices, shaping thought processes and decision-making strategies within their businesses. By adhering to these principles, Ngaju Dayak entrepreneurs foster a sense of trust and collective well-being, which strengthens community bonds and supports business activities. The research methodology employed in this study was qualitative, involving in-depth interviews with 30 informants. The informants were selected based on their involvement in entrepreneurship and their ability to represent the diverse perspectives of the Ngaju Dayak community. The findings reveal that ethnic entrepreneurship among the Ngaju Dayak is intricately linked to both economic factors and enduring cultural values. Their cultural principles not only guide their business practices but also enhance the connection between ethnic entrepreneurship and broader corporate aspirations, ensuring that their businesses remain sustainable while staying true to their cultural heritage. This research underscores the importance of integrating cultural values into modern entrepreneurial strategies to foster resilience and sustainability.

Abstract

Enculturalization of entrepreneurship is an increasingly important element toovercome unemployment and poverty reduction. The Department of Labor and Transmigration of South Sulawesi have been conducting entrepreneurship training programs since 2001 known as Tenaga Kerja Mandiri (TKM) and Kelompok Usaha Mandiri (KUM). This article focuses on the extent of such a program and its’ability to produce successful entrepreneurs by assessing the impact of training that has been carried out. This thesis is based on entrepreneurial behavioral theory, achievement motivation theory, planned behavior theory, CIPP model, entrepreneur development model, entrepreneurship training performance model (E/P) and entrepreneurship education model (E/E). This the study was conducted among 217 entrepreneurs from Makassar City, who had graduated from entrepreneurship training in 2001. The instrument uses aquestionnaires include entrepreneurial success indicators, motivation, and training components. Descriptive analysis is used to classify the participant’s business profile and the entrepreneurship programs. Multiple regression analysis is used to determine the entrepreneurial success factors. The findings indicate that 94% of the participants have become successful entrepreneurs, while 6% have been unable to sustain their business. Overall, the study reveals that successful entrepreneurs are influenced by motivation, and fitness of the training topics, teaching ability, infrastructure, and the ability to master the content of entrepreneurship. A lack of sufficient capital is identified as a key factor in the failure of a business, followed by entrepreneurship knowledge, and educational level. Thus, sufficient funding and selection of appropriate participants could improve the effectiveness of this entrepreneurial program.

Abstract

Eco-enzyme is a liquid fertilizer resulting from the fermentation of organic waste such as fruit and vegetable pulp, sugar and water in the manufacturing process which is quite long, around 3 months. The eco-enzyme solution is dark brown and has a strong sweet and sour fermentation aroma. Eco-enzyme contain various types of enzymes such as protease, lipase, and amylase which are very beneficial for plants and contain many microorganisms. This type of research is quantitative with a field experiment approach, which was carried out on August 19-November 27, 2024 which is located next to the IAIN Ambon Student Center building. The object of this research is tomato fruit plants that are given different concentrations of eco-enzyme. The research design used is a randomized block design consisting of 5 treatments and 4 groups so that the number of observation units is 20 units. The results showed that the provision of eco-enzyme with different concentrations (100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%) was significant to the increase in plant height, number of leaves and number of flowers. In the provision of eco-enzyme concentration of 20%, the average increase in plant height was 53.25 cm, the average increase in the number of leaves was 13 strands, the average increase in the number of flowers was 3.25 buds. The difference test for each treatment using HSD-Tukey showed that the treatment of eco-enzyme concentration 20% (K5) was better than the other treatments.

Abstract

Pematang Kapau is one of the villages in the Kulim District of Pekanbaru City, which experienced rapid population growth and urban development as a result of the Pekanbaru City Government's policy of moving the Pekanbaru City Government Center to Kulim District. Rapid development without being supported by adequate infrastructure will have a negative impact on urban areas. One of the things needed is educational facilities. Therefore, this activity helps the community, especially the Darunnur foundation in planning and designing educational facilities through Darunnur Mosque Foundation’s Integrated Islamic Elementary School Building Planning Assistance Program with a Contextual Architectural Approach. Contextual Architecture is a planning and design approach that considers the environment, culture, community character, history, so that the designed building has the characteristics of the form, as well as the quality of the building and the environment. The method used is descriptive qualitative, where the researcher is placed as the key instrument by combining field data with inductive analysis. This activity uses observation, discussion and design analysis methods. The results of this activity obtained the design of the Darunnur Mosque Foundation's Integrated Islamic Elementary School Building with a Contextual Architectural Approach.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is a key element in Indonesia's economic development, but the excessive use of chemical fertilizers has led to a decrease in soil fertility and an increase in production costs. This research aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the people of Bentek Village through socialization of the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) made from mango leaves and palm sugar as an environmentally friendly solution. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study of socialization of LOF making in Bentek Village, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency. The results of the study show that the application of liquid organic fertilizer is able to increase agricultural productivity with rice yields increasing by 12% and vegetables by up to 15%, as well as reducing production costs by up to 25%. In addition, the use of LOF improves soil quality with the addition of organic matter by 10-15% and water retention by up to 18%, which contributes to the sustainability of agriculture in the village. This socialization program not only has a positive impact on farmers, but also increases the interest of the younger generation to be involved in environmentally friendly agriculture. The socialization of liquid organic fertilizer technology has succeeded in providing significant economic and environmental benefits, reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers, and strengthening the economic resilience of the community. Ongoing support from the government and related institutions is urgently needed to ensure the sustainability of this program and expand its implementation.

Abstract

Mathematics teachers in integrated Islamic schools in Maluku are having problems implementing the integration of Islam into mathematics learning. This study aims to develop a learning model based on Islamic Integrated Information Communication Technology (IICT) to help teachers increase creativity in mathematical problem solving and students' environmental awareness. The main output of this research is an ICT-based active learning model that integrates Islamic sciences into mathematics learning to support the development of creativity skills in solving mathematical problems and students' environmental awareness at an early age. The development of the learning model in this study is a combination of the Plomp (2013), Dick & Carey (2015), and Joyce et al. (2009). Plomp's model was used for the research and model development phase, Dick & Carey for instructional design, and Joyce et al. for the model's contents. The resulting model is an adaptation of the hierarchical and procedural combination of the three developments. The research subjects are mathematics teachers and students. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the instrument's validity, the IICT model, the practicality, and the effectiveness of the IICT model. Based on expert validation and testing results, the resulting model meets the needs of mathematics teachers and students of SMP/MTs in an integrated Islamic school environment. The results showed that the IICT learning model was qualified to help teachers integrate Islam in mathematics learning, increase creativity in solving math problems, and students' environmental awareness.

Abstract

The phenomenon today in schools is that teachers rarely build student arguments but only accept students' answers. However, teacher activities that always make students 'arguments and support each solution and defend students' arguments without long debates are relevant and exciting to study. This study aims to explain and explore the promotion of mathematics teacher reasoning in tasks in the classroom. The author surveyed teachers who teach mathematics at the junior high level. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with an experimental research design, which begins with a survey of teachers who teach mathematics at the junior high school level in Maluku Province. First, the authors conducted initial observations for one month in several junior high schools in Maluku Province with the guide of the observation instrument for the promotion of teacher reasoning in learning. Second, the writer states that there are three groups of attractive teachers who can promote mathematical reasoning in each of their teachings based on indicators of teachers' mathematical reasoning. Third, the writer created the same math problems for the three teachers and observed how they built students' reasoning and evaluated their thinking efficiently. Finally, the results and surveys were carried out by triangulation with direct trials on seven classes at the junior high level. The results show how teacher actions promoting mathematical reasoning give generalizations or justifications. Teacher actions supporting precise rationale are discussed in more detail in this article.
