Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of card sort learning strategies in improving biology learning outcomes on the concept of the human digestive system of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Seram Barat. The type of research used in this study is Classroom Action Research. Activities carried out in each cycle include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were grade VIII2 students at SMP Negeri 6 Seram Barat with a total of 33 students. To obtain data on learning outcomes, it is necessary to use instruments in the form of tests and observation sheets. This research is said to be successful if, the learning outcomes achieved by students in the implementation of the test have reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria, namely individually, namely student test results have reached a value of 67 and classically student learning completeness has reached 75%. The data analysis technique used by the authors in this study is descriptive analysis.  Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning using the card sort method on digestive system material in humans can improve student learning outcomes in grade VIII SMP Negeri 6 Seram Barat

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of web-enhanced learning on eighthgrade students' learning independence in the human movement system subject at SMPN Sinjai. Using a nonequivalent control group design, selflearning questionnaires and observation sheets were employed for data collection. Descriptive and inferential analyses included prerequisite tests and independent sample t-tests. Results indicate that students taught with the web-enhanced learning model achieved a high average learning independence score of 124.8, compared to a medium average score of 108.1 for students without this model. The inferential analysis yielded a significance value of tcount 0.000 < 0.05, supporting the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. This finding implies a significant influence of webenhanced learning on students' learning independence.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini menyelidiki pengaruh web-enhanced learning terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran sistem gerak manusia di SMPN Sinjai. Penelitian ini menggunakan non-equivalent control group design, kuesioner kemandiarian belajar, dan lembar observasiuntuk pengumpulan data. Analisis deskriptif dan inferensial dilakukan, termasuk uji prasyarat dan uji t sampel independen. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran web-enhanced mencapai skor kemandirian belajar rata-rata 124,8 (kategori tinggi), dibandingkan siswa yang todak diajar dengan model tersebut dengan skor rata-rata 108,1, kategori sedang. Analisis inferensial menghasilkan nilai signifikansi thitung 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti H0 ditolakvdan H1 diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari web-enhanced learning terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the characteristics, validity, and practicality of the bioedutainment-based Jenga board game for teaching the digestive system topic to eighth-grade students of SMPN Sinjai. This research employed the research and development method with the ADDIE development model, involving 25 eighth-grade students as subjects. The ADDIE development model comprises five stages: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The research instruments were questionnaires to obtain data on practicality and test items to obtain data on effectiveness. The analysis showed that the media had an attractive design and received a 100% validation rating. It was determined as highly practical by students and educators. The score of effectiveness was 77, reaching 96% completeness. Thus, the bioedutainment-based Jenga board game is valid, practical, and effective for classroom learning.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, validitas, dan kepraktisan media permainan papan Jenga berbasis bioedutainment untuk pembelajaran sistem pencernaan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN Sinjai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan berdasarkan model pengembangan ADDIE, dengan melibatkan 25 siswa kelas VIII sebagai subjek. Model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu menganalisis, merancang, mengembangkan, menerapkan, dan mengevaluasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket untuk data kepraktisan, serta soal tes untuk data keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media tersebut memiliki desain yang menarik dan mendapat nilai validitas 100%. Itu dinilai sangat praktis oleh siswa dan pendidik. Data keefektifan menunjukkan skor 77, mencapai ketuntasan 96%. Dengan demikian, media permainan papan Jenga berbasis bioedutainment valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

The success of a learning process depends on the teacher’s mastery of materials, strategies, and media. Teachers need to possess high creativity to maintain their students’ interest and motivation in learning. The integration of effective learning models and appropriate media, such as using plastic waste as realia, can be one of the alternatives to improve the quality of learning. This study also aimed to examine students' awareness of environmental issues. The quantitative and qualitative data of the study were collected simultaneously to answer the research problems. Interviews were conducted during the implementation of the learning process and quizzes. A pre-experimental one-shot case study design was employed to gather the quantitative data which were then analyzed descriptively. The results of the current study showed that the students' intuitive thinking started to develop in phase 3, where they were asked to identify the type of plastic glass they were holding. Phase 4 that allowed the students to separate parts constructing the glass, determine the name of each part, and set a point of view or the purpose underlying the material presented was the phase where the students performed an analytical thinking process. In phase 5, the students were allowed to solve a mathematical problem using analytical thinking. The interaction between students' intuitive and analytical thinking shown in the identification and labeling of each type of three-dimensional form will be discussed in this article

Abstract

Liver cirrhosis, as a significant chronic liver disease, exhibits a rising global prevalence, demanding more effective preventive approaches. In an effort to enhance early detection and patient management, this research proposes the development of a liver cirrhosis risk prediction model using machine learning technology, specifically comparing the performance of three ensemble tree models: Ensemble Boosted Tree, Ensemble Bagged Tree, and Ensemble RUSBoosted Tree. Utilizing clinical and laboratory data from adults with a history or risk of cirrhosis, the study reveals that Ensemble Bagged Tree achieved the highest accuracy at 71%, followed by Ensemble Boosted Tree (67.2%) and Ensemble RUSBoosted Tree (66%). Analysis of clinical and laboratory variables provides further insights into the most significant contributors to risk prediction. The findings lay the groundwork for the advancement of a more sophisticated liver cirrhosis risk prediction tool, supporting a vision of more personalized and effective preventive strategies in liver disease management

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi pembiayaan syariah dalam pengembangan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di di Kawasan Pesisir Kecamatan Surade dan Ujung Genteng. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi dalam pengambangan UMKM. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pembiayaan syariah memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan UMKM, dengan menawarkan alternatif pembiayaan yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam. Implikasi dari pengabdian ini adalah pentingnya pengembangan dan sosialisasi pembiayaan syariah kepada pelaku UMKM agar dapat meningkatkan keberlanjutan usaha mereka, sekaligus mendorong perekonomian nasional yang berbasis pada keadilan dan kesejahteraan

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the performance of Human Activity Recognition (HAR) systems by implementing the Stacked Sparse Autoencoder (SSAE) algorithm combined with Support Vector Machine (SVM). The objective is to enhance the classification accuracy of human activities using sensor data. The materials for this study include a dataset collected from wearable devices equipped with accelerometers and gyroscopes. These devices generate time-series data representing a range of activities, such as walking, running, sitting, and standing. The raw data were preprocessed through normalization and segmented into fixed time windows to ensure uniformity and reliability for analysis. The methods utilized involve employing SSAE for automated feature extraction. The SSAE algorithm extracts hierarchical and abstract features from sensor data, enabling the model to learn complex patterns that traditional methods might overlook. The extracted features are then input into the SVM classifier to perform activity classification. SSAE was trained using unsupervised learning techniques, followed by supervised fine-tuning with labeled datasets. The results demonstrate that the SSAE-SVM model achieves superior performance compared to traditional SVM. The SSAE-SVM achieved 89% accuracy, 87% precision, 89% sensitivity, and 88% F1 score, significantly outperforming the traditional SVM’s 37% accuracy, 75% precision, 37% sensitivity, and 36% F1 score. These findings underscore the potential of SSAE in enhancing HAR systems by effectively extracting features from sensor data. Future research should focus on the real-time implementation of SSAE, leveraging diverse sensor modalities, and exploring its applicability in broader fields, such as predictive maintenance and personalized health monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of PT. Japfa's Partnership Management Information System based on Android in supporting operational efficiency and enhancing partnership transparency in broiler chicken farming. The research focuses on three main variables: ease of use of the application, security and reliability of the application, and the benefits of the application for farmers. Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive design, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 farmers partnered with PT. Japfa, and in-depth interviews were conducted to gather further insights into user experiences.The findings indicate that the application facilitates the management of farm operational data through an intuitive interface, and automation features that enhance financial reporting efficiency. However, some farmers requested more intensive training on how to use the application. In terms of security and reliability, the application successfully protects sensitive data and handles system errors effectively, though routine updates are still needed to improve security. Additionally, the application provides significant benefits in terms of partnership transparency, accelerating harvest reporting, and organizing feedstock management more effectively.This research contributes valuable insights into the development of technology-based applications for the livestock sector, particularly in information-based partnership management. Recommendations for future research include enhancing poultry health monitoring features and integrating data more comprehensively to support more efficient management.

Abstract

Indonesia diakui sebagai negara maritim oleh UNCLOS sejak 1982, menegaskan mengenai kekuatan dan potensi kemaritiman Indonesia. Provinsi Kepulauan Riau, khususnya Pulau Bintan, memiliki peran penting karena letaknya yang strategis berbatasan dengan Singapura, Malaysia, Vietnam, dan Kamboja. Pulau Bintan memiliki sejarah maritim yang kaya dan menghubungkan erat masyarakat dengan laut sebagai sumber penghidupan dan identitas budaya. Untuk melestarikan warisan tersebut, diperlukan wadah edukasi, pelestarian, dan rekreasi yang belum tersedia dengan baik dan memadai. Museum Maritim hadir sebagai tanggapan potensi Pulau Bintan sebagai daerah pesisir/maritim. Perancangan Museum Maritim bertujuan untuk beberapa hal, 1)mengidentifikasi fasilitas penting, 2)menerapkan prinsip-prinsip arsitektur tepian air, serta 3)merumuskan konsep desain yang koheren dan selaras. Menggunakan metode historical study (studi sejarah) dengan aspek utama yaitu see, learn, dan preserve (melihat, mempelajari, dan melestarikan). Museum Maritim tidak hanya menjadi tempat penyimpanan artefak, tetapi juga sebagai ruang publik interaktif yang menumbuhkan apresiasi budaya maritim lokal serta meningkatkan daya tarik wisata Pulau Bintan.

Abstract

Indonesia dikenal dengan keanekaragaman wisata dan budaya yang kaya, termasuk Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi yang memiliki potensi pariwisata unggulan, khususnya festival Pacu Jalur yang sangat diminati wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara. Lonjakan jumlah wisatawan memunculkan kebutuhan akomodasi yang memadai, namun belum terdapat hotel berbintang di wilayah ini. Oleh karena itu, dirancanglah hotel berbintang tiga di Taluk Kuantan dengan pendekatan Arsitektur Tepian Air. Desain hotel ini mengusung konsep Serenity yang tercermin dari bentuk lengkung massa, pemilihan material alami, serta zonasi yang terintegrasi dengan lanskap tepi sungai. Prinsip arsitektur tepian air diterapkan melalui orientasi bangunan ke arah sungai, area publik yang terbuka, serta integrasi fungsi-fungsi rekreatif yang harmonis dengan alam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Case Study Research untuk mengkaji hotel serupa dan potensi lokal. Hasil rancangan diharapkan mampu menjawab kebutuhan akomodasi dan meningkatkan daya tarik pariwisata Kuantan Singingi secara berkelanjutan.
