Abstract

This study aimed to determine the phylogenetic relationship of coral trout groupers (Plectropomus spp.) in the waters of Liang Village, Banggai Kepulauan Regency, based on morphological characters. The research employed a descriptive exploratory method with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Samples were collected using purposive sampling, obtaining 15 individuals representing five species: Plectropomus leopardus, Plectropomus oligacanthus, Plectropomus maculatus, Plectropomus areolatus, and Plectropomus leavis. Morphological observations included 25 morphometric characters, 11 meristic characters, and 4 qualitative characters. Data were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to identify the main morphological characters contributing to variation among species, followed by cluster analysis using the Unweighted Pair Group Method with Arithmetic Mean (UPGMA) to assess phylogenetic relationships. The results indicated that the physicochemical conditions of the waters in Liang Village were suitable to support coral trout grouper populations. PCA results showed that the first two principal components (PC1 and PC2) explained 73.31% of the total morphological variation, with interorbital length, dorsal fin base length, and body depth contributing most significantly to species differentiation. The UPGMA dendrogram revealed that Plectropomus leopardus exhibited the closest phylogenetic relationship with Plectropomus areolatus and Plectropomus oligacanthus, while Plectropomus maculatus showed the greatest morphological divergence and formed a separate cluster. These findings demonstrate that morphological characters are effective in revealing phylogenetic relationships among Plectropomus species in the studied waters.

Abstract

Rheumatic disease (rheumatoid arthritis) is a degenerative disease that affects the productive age of 25-60 years which results in decreased community productivity. The immunological pathology process occurs several years before clinical symptoms appear. One of the causes of rheumatoid arthristis is the regulation of food patterns which is a triggering factor for arthritis. The purpose of this study is to help introduce rheumatic diseases and the right food for people with rheumatism in Liku Lambara Village, Tawaeli District. The method used in the socialization was face-to-face and lecture method in one of the residents' houses. The results of the activity showed that the community understood the socialized material well. In conclusion, the community

Abstract

The reason for this review is to portray imaginative reasoning abilities and science-critical abilities to think in middle school understudies by using issue-based learning models. The study was directed at class VIII students at one of Palu City's junior high schools. The population of class VIII consists of five classes totaling 160 students. Purposive sampling was used to select two classes as samples. Data on problem-solving and creative thinking abilities were obtained through essay tests. The instruments used were teaching modules, LKPD, and tests. Information investigation utilized an autonomous t-test with the assistance of SPSS variant 25.0. The findings revealed that the creative thinking skills in conventional classes were significantly lower than problem-based learning classes t(62)=13.56, p<0.001, and problem-solving skills in conventional classes were considerably lower than problem-based learning classes t(62)=14.63, p<0.001. Thus, this study concludes that the creative thinking skills and problem-solving abilities of Class VIII SMP students in science subjects can be empowered by implementing a problem-based learning model.
