Abstract

Technology like the Google Meeting platform, Zoom Meeting, Google Classroom, Webex, and other apps were extensively used for online learning. These platforms or programs are still utilized today, even after the pandemic, and they significantly aid in the learning process. Due to the requirement for knowledge and skills in using these programs and platforms, this condition presents additional challenges for children in kindergarten and elementary school. As a result, parents are crucial to their children's academic performance. This community service has as its goal educating and informing parents about the value of being involved in their children's educational journey. 23 parents attended this service activity, which was carried out in the form of a workshop. The implementation method is carried out by interactive lecture methods, brainstorming, sharing experiences with students' parents and discussions. The results of the online survey revealed the participants' satisfaction with this activity which provided enlightenment and knowledge to them.

Abstract

The study examined the violation of the maxim of cooperation in early childhood conversation be means of a pragmatic case study, which is an important undertaking given the strong influence of the surrounding environment on children’s language development. Previous studies have delved into this area, particularly with regard to children with special needs, but have not widely explored how such a violation emerges in the early childhood period. Here, we adopted a qualitative approach using a pragmatic case study design, and over seven months collected data by observing, listening to and recording the conversations of a 4-year-old boy. The results of this process were used as transcripts for conversation data. Specifically, we found that of the 40 conversation data items concerning the form of cooperative maxim violations, there were 13 (32.5%) conversation data items. These results indicate that children in the early childhood period already possess pragmatic abilities, as evidenced by the ability to answer questions relevantly, but are constrained by their ignorance in answering questions correctly, thereby leading many children to violate the maxim of manners.

The electronic-based archive management workshop activities, in principle, are carried out in three stages, namely: the initial stage, the core stage and the final stage. The initial stage, as a beginner stage where the assessment of the material needed by community service participants, is in the form of delivering material about the concept of excellent service. Core stage, delivery of core material and best practice, the third stage, namely the final stage is the conclusion and evaluation of the importance of archive management in a non-formal educational institution

Abstract

To enhance the quality of vocational education, the Indonesian government has prioritized two projects: Teaching Factory and Technopark. Teaching factory model integrates vocational school learning with industry standards and   procedures in a setting that mirrors real world industrial environments. Technopark serves as the hubs of several teaching factories connecting industry, educational institutions and pertinent agencies to foster collaboration. These two initiatives are intertwined and interdependent one another. The study's objective was to explore the impacts of the deployment of the teaching factory and technopark to students’ skills, educational outcomes and their teachers’ competencies. Data were garnered from four public vocational high schools in Indonesia through non participant observation and semi structure interviews involving principals, curriculum vice principals, teaching factory coordinators and seven students. Research has revealed that pupils developed their creativity by producing items such as wooden products, and drone and enhanced their entrepreneurship skill by creating startups and selling product online selling. The study's findings suggest that government policies should promote stronger industrial relations and involve industry in designing vocational school curricula to meet national and international industry standards.
