Abstract

This Community Service Program seeks to improve students' caring attitudes towards the environment at SDN 6 Padang Sambian Klod through the application of the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) concept. The main problem in focus is the student’s low level of knowledge and participation in appropriate waste disposal activities which results in pollution of the environment. This problem is solved through direct observation, counseling, discussions, and practical work including waste sorting and recycling workshops. The students’ improved awareness and behavior is profound. More than eighty percent of students have shown improvement in waste management understanding, practiced waste segregation, and recycling. Teachers and parents also noted that students were actively participating in cleanliness activities at school and at home. Even so, there are still problems such as a greater proportion of these facilities need to be provided and sustained waste management practices need to be more deeply entrenched. The conclusions drawn are that further education and better facilities would help children develop better environmental attitudes.

Abstract

ustrial waste, especially from food and beverage packaging, has emerged as a pressing environmental concern. Among the challenges is the limited awareness and understanding among students regarding appropriate recycling practices within industrial settings. This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and awareness of recycling management systems, with a focus on fermented beverage packaging in industrial environments. Conducted by students of Universitas Pendidikan Nasional (UNDIKNAS), the program included a company visit to PT. Yakult Indonesia Persada in Mojokerto, where participants engaged in interactive counseling sessions, educational media presentations, focus group discussions, and direct observations of recycling processes. The activity resulted in high levels of student engagement, with participants actively discussing and questioning the presented material. Observational learning allowed them to grasp the practical application of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Overall, the activity proved effective in deepening students’ environmental awareness and understanding of sustainable industrial practices while fostering stronger academia-industry collaboration.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines how cybersecurity resilience can be strengthened by integrating technological capabilities and human factors. Specifically, it explores the role of cybersecurity technology and digital security awareness in enhancing cybersecurity risk management, using a combined perspective of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Resource-Based View (RBV). Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from digital companies operating in Denpasar to test the proposed relationships and moderating effects. Findings: The results indicate that cybersecurity technology significantly improves cybersecurity risk management. In addition, digital security awareness strengthens this relationship, suggesting that higher awareness enhances the effectiveness of technological tools. Research limitations/implications: The study is limited by its focus on a single geographic area and a cross-sectional design, which may limit broader applicability. Future research is encouraged to involve multiple regions and longitudinal data. Practical implications: Organizations should not rely solely on technological investments but also prioritize improving employees’ digital security awareness to achieve stronger cybersecurity resilience. Originality/value: This study contributes by integrating TAM and RBV to highlight the interaction between technological and human capabilities in cybersecurity risk management. Abstract

The fast-changing business landscape poses challenges for Human Resource (HR) teams in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in terms of risk and performance and maintaining stability in uncertain times. Continuity and team performance depend on effective risk management. Managing risks in the literature has involved HR teams with performance and operational continuity in the business with little or no citations on the HR leadership style, which has been the primary focus of this study. This gap in understanding limits the extent to which businesses can help HR teams improve their operational performance. This study attempts to fill this gap by measuring the effect of risk management on the effectiveness of HR teams and how leadership affects this relationship. For this purpose, a quantitative survey research based on PLS-SEM was conducted on 200 HR employees and Balinese frontline operational workers in SMEs in teams oriented toward the collection of PLS-SEM data in specified domains of operational risk management. The data was collected by means of a survey employing standardized questionnaires and analyzed through focused area PLS-SEM and customized bootstrapping techniques for testing moderation through interaction terms. The results showed that the effectiveness of HR teams can be significantly enhanced through the adoption of appropriate risk management strategies. Furthermore, leadership styles that are more active in a hierarchy not only directly increase team performance but also strengthen the impact of risk management. This integration of perspectives demonstrates the practical applicability of the Resource-Based View alongside Contingency Theory: the context of leadership and organizational resources shapes team output. Looking ahead, the extension of this research could focus on longitudinal designs, additional organizational culture, and employee motivation variables for moderation or mediation, and research on a context larger than SMEs to test the breadth of this conclusion.

Abstract

In the advanced digital age, consumers engage with new technological interfaces that provide value in the form of personalization, convenience, and efficiency while exposing them to possible threats such as data insecurity, privacy breaches, and system failures. These opposing threats highlight the importance of understanding how consumers perceive technology-related risks and how this perception impacts their psychological experiences. Although the technology acceptance model and user satisfaction have been extensively studied, little is known about the psychological variables—particularly the construct of digital curiosity—that buffer perceptions of risk associated with technology. This study aims to fill this void by analyzing the effect of technological risk perception on consumer experience and the role of digital curiosity in this relationship. A quantitative approach involved using a structured questionnaire distributed to active digital consumers on different online platforms. Data analysis was performed using SmartPLS 4.0. The measurement model attained satisfactory validity and reliability. It was established that perceived technological risk negatively impacts the consumer experience. This suggests that a higher perceived risk correlates with diminished satisfaction, trust, and emotional ease. Among other variables, digital curiosity positively impacted consumer experience and interacted in such a way as to lessen the negative influence of perceived technological risk. This suggests that curiosity may serve as a psychological buffer that allows consumers to emotionally reconcile with technological risks, enabling them to retain a positive experience in situations where technology imposes a high risk. These findings indicate the need for organizations to offer digital experiences that provide a level of assurance concerning security while simultaneously fostering curiosity. Allowing exploration and more interactive engagement may help users navigate and trust more complex technological systems. The model proposed in this study may provide the basis for future studies to include additional variables, such as technostress and digital self-efficacy, to capture a more comprehensive theoretical perspective.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk memperkuat kapasitas sebuah UMKM jahit di Kota Denpasar yang selama ini menghadapi berbagai hambatan operasional, seperti penataan ruang yang tidak terorganisasi, keterbatasan keterampilan teknis, serta tata kelola bahan yang kurang efisien. Melalui program pendampingan selama dua hari pada Agustus 2025, tim pengabdian melakukan serangkaian aktivitas mencakup observasi langsung, pelatihan teknik menjahit dan obras, penataan ulang area produksi, serta pengenalan prosedur perawatan mesin yang lebih sistematis. Tahapan kegiatan dirancang untuk menjawab kebutuhan spesifik mitra, sekaligus mendorong terbentuknya alur kerja yang lebih ergonomis dan terukur. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nyata pada aspek produktivitas, kualitas jahitan, dan stabilitas mesin, disertai perbaikan signifikan pada kebersihan serta kerapian ruang kerja. Selain itu, pengelolaan limbah kain dan pemanfaatan ulang material sisa mulai diterapkan sebagai langkah awal menuju efisiensi yang lebih berkelanjutan. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendampingan berbasis kebutuhan riil UMKM mampu memperkuat kompetensi produksi, mengurangi kesalahan kerja, serta meningkatkan kemampuan mitra dalam memenuhi permintaan pelanggan. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan yang dapat direplikasi pada unit usaha sejenis di wilayah perkotaan Bali.

Abstract

In today's digital era, influencer-marketing pervades consumers' perceptions and behavior—particularly in destinations such as Bali, where consumer culture online is intensifying with growing local digital subcultures. Follower tribes are frequently rife with toxic loyalty, where followers aggressively rush to the defense of influencers or brands even when there are obvious cases of ethics breaches or product failure. The current study examines the role of digital narcissism and the impact of flying monkey behavior—supporters who echo manipulative messages and suppress criticism—on irrational consumer loyalty. Despite increased emphasis on influencer power, there is sparse literature structurally capturing how narcissistic manipulation, mediated through flying monkey behavior, affects consumer behavior. This study bridges the gap by building a prediction model through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The data were collected from 200 social media users in Bali between 18 and 35 years old who were actively following domestic or national influencers. Measurement instruments were adapted from the Dark Triad Scale, relational aggression theory, and consumer susceptibility models. The findings indicate that digital narcissism highly predicts flying monkey behavior and irrational consumer loyalty, with flying monkey behavior partially mediating. The findings reveal the poisonous social dynamics that are codified within digital marketing ecosystems. Theoretically, this research bridges narcissistic communication theory and consumerism through a novel framework for exploring persuasive processes in online subcultures. In practice, it emphasizes the critically important need for ethical regulation of influencer communication and online community management. Following studies could assume longitudinal designs, investigate platform-based differences, or enlist biometric tools such as eye-tracking or sentiment analysis to expose deeper psychographic patterns. The present study also confirms the usefulness of subjecting the effects of digital communication power structures on loyalty, identity, and consumption in emerging digital society to critical examination.

Abstract

Economic uncertainty has become an unavoidable feature of contemporary economic life, intensifying pressure on financial decision-makers to balance short-term stability with long-term sustainability. Despite growing attention to sustainable finance, prior studies report inconsistent findings regarding the effect of economic uncertainty on sustainability-oriented financial decisions, leaving a critical gap in understanding the underlying mechanism. To address this gap, this study examines the mediating role of value polarization in the relationship between economic uncertainty and sustainable financial decision-making. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a structured survey and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that economic uncertainty does not directly influence sustainable financial decision-making but significantly intensifies value polarization, which in turn shapes sustainability-oriented financial outcomes. These findings highlight the importance of value-based processes in explaining heterogeneous financial behavior under uncertainty. Future research may extend this model by incorporating longitudinal designs or institutional factors to capture dynamic value shifts across different economic contexts.

Abstract

Environmental problems related to organic waste management remain a major challenge in many elementary schools. Limited knowledge, inadequate facilities, and the lack of practical environmental education often result in improper waste disposal practices. This condition reduces students’ awareness of environmental sustainability and limits their involvement in waste management activities. Therefore, effective and applicable solutions are required to strengthen environmental education at an early age. This community service program aimed to improve students’ environmental literacy and practical skills through the socialization and implementation of compost bin technology at SD Desa Padangsambian Klod, Denpasar. The program was conducted on February 6, 2026, using a participatory approach that combined socialization sessions, practical demonstrations, guided practice, and continuous mentoring. The preparation stage included preliminary observation, coordination with school authorities, and the development of learning materials. During the implementation stage, students were introduced to waste sorting concepts and trained to process organic waste using compost bins. The reflection and evaluation stage was carried out through observation, discussions, and feedback from participants. The results showed significant improvements in students’ understanding and behavior regarding organic waste management. After participating in the program, students were able to distinguish between organic and inorganic waste, actively use compost bins, and demonstrate greater responsibility in maintaining a clean school environment. Student participation increased noticeably, and teachers became more involved in supervising and integrating composting activities into daily learning routines. These changes indicate that hands-on learning supported by simple technology can effectively enhance environmental awareness and sustainable practices among students. In conclusion, the implementation of compost bin technology serves as an effective educational tool for promoting environmentally responsible behavior in elementary schools. The program successfully achieved its objectives of increasing environmental literacy, strengthening practical skills, and fostering sustainable habits. Future community service programs are encouraged to expand environmental education initiatives to strengthen long-term environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Teacher staff development in the understanding of personal and professional financial management, especially related to the correct use of credit, is quite important. Hence, this paper discusses improvements in the level of understanding and knowledge of credit management among responsible teachers and employees at SD Kuta Badung through a program of financial education. The methodology was a mix of quantitative and qualitative research, as knowledge improvement was measured with pre-tests and post-tests, and the participant feedbacks were obtained with interviews and group discussions. High improvements in credit types, financial planning, and debt management accompanied by high satisfaction levels of participants reflected that it had helped in reducing stress levels and had enhanced the teachers' and staff members' well-being in their financial lives. This program thus implies that the incorporation of financial literacy in education will have a positive impact on how individuals manage their finances.
