Abstract

The people of Kalikejambon Village, Tembelang District, Jombang have several kinds of potential in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry and natural resources. Therefore, during the Covid-19 pandemic, people must always maintain their health and hand hygiene. One of the things to maintain cleanliness is by using hand sanitizer. During the pandemic, the need for hand sanitizers continues to increase so that solutions are needed, one of which is by making hand sanistizers using natural ingredients. The ingredients used are betel leaves and lime. One of the uses of these materials is a bacterial killer substance. Both ingredients contain essential oils and anti-bacterial substances. The purpose of this service is to invite the community to innovate in using appropriate technology (TTG). The discussion and lecture method is carried out in this activity with intensive assistance. The results of the questionnaire for making hand sanistizers are that 70% of this activity can improve the community's economy, 10% of residents consider hand sanitizers as natural disinfectants and as community innovations, 8% practice skills, and 2% as experiences. However, in reality on the ground, it turns out that residents still need to learn and continue to practice their skills in making betel leaf extract and lime hand sinitizers. After this service activity, it is hoped that the community can practice skills in making the hand sinitizer. The public knows the importance of making hand sinitizer and can be made using natural materials so that people do not need expensive costs in using hand sinitizers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between student learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to ecosystem material. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study population was all 10th-grade students of Mojoagung State Senior High School, Jombang, with a sample of 36 10th-grade students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data on student learning activities were obtained through observation sheets, while cognitive learning outcomes were measured using a learning achievement test. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test using SPSS version 26 software. This is because the learning activity data is ordinal in scale. The results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between student learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes with a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.943 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which is in the very strong relationship category. This finding indicates that the higher the student learning activities in problem-based learning, the higher the cognitive learning outcomes achieved. The implications of this study confirm that the application of PBL which emphasizes active student involvement plays an important role in improving conceptual understanding, especially in ecosystem material which is complex and contextual.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between student activities in learning and cognitive learning outcomes. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a correlational design. The population in this study were junior high school students, with a sample of class X-5 SMA Negeri Mojoagung Jombang using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through observation of student activities and cognitive learning outcome tests. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive correlation between student activity and learning outcomes. This is indicated by a Pearson Correlation of 0.536 (moderate relationship) with a p-value of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05, indicating a significant relationship. The Spearman Correlation is 0.578, which also shows a moderate but slightly stronger relationship. Since the correlation value between student activity and learning outcomes is within the range of 0.40 - 0.599, the relationship that occurs is in the moderate category. This means there is a relationship between student activity and learning outcomes. The implication of this research shows that increasing student involvement in the learning process can contribute to improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

The integration of digital learning technologies has become increasingly important for fostering interactive and student-centered learning environments. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Kahoot as an interactive learning medium in improving students’ motivation, learning activities, and mathematics learning outcomes. The research employed a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design involving 32 seventh-grade students and two mathematics teachers. Quantitative data were collected through pre–post tests, motivation questionnaires, and classroom observation sheets, while qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews and documentation. The results showed significant improvements in students’ learning outcomes, with the mean score increasing from 52.33 to 78.67 and mastery achievement rising from 33.3% to 90%. Learning motivation increased from a mean score of 61.2 to 82.5, while classroom participation improved from 30% to 100%. These findings indicate that Kahoot effectively enhances cognitive, motivational, and behavioral aspects of learning. The study contributes to the literature by integrating cognitive and engagement dimensions within a mixed-methods framework and recommends integrating gamified digital platforms into mathematics instruction.

Abstract

The Kurikulum Merdeka emphasizes project-based and differentiated learning tailored to students' individual characteristics. However, in the biodiversity topic at MAUWH, instruction remains conventional and has not yet integrated a scientific literacy approach, resulting in student disengagement and difficulty in grasping key concepts. This study aims to describe the validation results of a Grade X biology teaching module based on scientific literacy and supported by an e-booklet, as assessed by media and content experts. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used were validation questionnaires completed by two validators: a media expert and a content expert. Data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The validation results showed a score of 86.67% from the media expert and 92.5% from the content expert, both falling into the "highly valid" category. These findings indicate that the scientific literacy-based teaching module supported by an e-booklet is suitable for use in Grade X biology instruction, particularly for the biodiversity topic, offering an innovative alternative that supports the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This media development is motivated by students’ low comprehension of leaf morphology material and the limitations of conventional learning media, such as physical herbaria that require special care, large storage space, and limited accessibility. The aim of this study is to develop a digital learning medium in the form of a leaf morphology herbarium of dicotyledonous plants, utilizing Instagram as a visual, engaging, and flexible platform suitable for student use. The herbarium was developed using leaf specimens collected from the campus environment of Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah (UNWAHA). The research adopted the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), although the process was limited to the Develop stage due to time constraints. Validation was carried out by media and content experts, yielding feasibility scores of 86% and 89% respectively, both categorized as “highly feasible.” The study concludes that the Instagram-based digital herbarium is a feasible alternative learning medium that is effective, innovative, and aligned with the characteristics of learners in the digital era. The implications of this development include strengthening visual literacy, enhancing access to technology-based learning, and expanding the use of digital platforms in science education.

Abstract

Dependence on inorganic fertilizers remains a global problem often faced by farmers. Inorganic fertilizers provide quick results but have a negative impact on the environment if used in the long term. Therefore, environmentally friendly fertilization alternatives are needed, one of which is the use of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) derived from natural materials that can be processed independently by farmers. In Mentoro Village, most farmers and local communities still have minimal knowledge about the use and production of POC. The community service team held a socialization and training session for villagers on how to make POC from kitchen waste, namely shallot skins. The community service activity was held on August 20, 2025, at the Menturo Village Hall. The activity successfully increased participants' understanding of the use of household organic waste to produce liquid organic fertilizer (POC). Participants were able to practice making POC directly, from selecting materials, fermenting, to applying it to plants. The use of household organic waste to produce liquid organic fertilizer (POC) makes it easier for the community to obtain environmentally friendly fertilizer at a more affordable cost.

Abstract

The majority of the population in Kedungpapar village work as farmers, as evidenced by the large amount of agricultural land available, but these rice fields have not been optimally utilized, as evidenced by production results that do not meet planned targets. One factor contributing to suboptimal rice or corn harvests is that the soil used has a pH that differs significantly from the optimum pH, which tends to be significantly different, making the fertilizer applied difficult for plants to absorb, thus disrupting plant growth. Therefore, researchers created a smartphone-based nutrient detector that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. The approach method for implementing community service activities in the KKN-PPM program uses a community-based research method, namely explanations from resource persons to partners. Through socialization and direct practice in the field, farmers gain new knowledge about the importance of soil pH, how to use digital pH measuring instruments, and steps to handle if the soil pH is not appropriate. This activity is expected to improve harvest quality, fertilizer use efficiency, and farmer welfare in a sustainable manner

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 mengutamakan pendidikan yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Peserta didik harus lebih aktif dalam mengembangkan kompetensi yang dimilikinya. Pengembangan kompetensi dapat meliputi sikap, pengetahuan maupun keterampilan peserta didik, salah satu keterampilan yang dimaksud adalah keterampilan proses peserta didik. Keterampilan proses peserta didik di kelas X MIPA 2 pada pembelajaran biologi di MA Unggulan KH.Abd. Wahab Hasbullah Tambak Beras Jombang belum pernah dinilai. Penilaian dapat dilakukan melalui kinerja dalam kegiatan praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discoveri learning melalui pembelajaran praktikum kingdom plantae terhadap keterampilan proses peserta didik di MA Unggulan KH. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah Tambak Beras Jombang. Metode penelitian jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Eksperimen Design dengan bentuk desain One-group pretest-posttest design. Pretest diberikan sebelum adanya perlakuan dan posttest diberikan setelah adanya perlakuan. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA 2 MA Unggulan KH. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah Tambak Beras Jombang dengan jumlah 33 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan angket kinerja keterampilan proses peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain: panduan wawancara, perangkat pembelajaran, lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan lembar penilaian keterampilan proses peserta didik. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan rumus uji korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis uji korelasi product moment diperoleh nilai rhitung = 0,801 dan rtabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% α = 0,05 sebesar 0,345, maka diperoleh rhitung ˃ rtabel dengan demikian Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, data tersebut menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan pada implementasi model discovery learning dengan praktikum kingdom plantae terhadap keterampilan proses pesera didik di MA Unggulan KH. Abdul Wahab Hasbullah Tambak Beras Jombang. Kata kunci—Discovery Learning, Praktikum, Keterampilan Proses.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry models through practicum learning on the psychomotor abilities of class XI MIA students in MAN 10 Jombang. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and performance tests. The instruments used include interview guides, guided inquiry-based learning tools, learning implementation observation sheets, and students' psychomotor ability assessment sheets. The interview guide was used to conduct a needs analysis and interviews were conducted with biology teachers at MAN 10 Jombang. Guided inquiry-based learning tools were used to carry out guided inquiry-based practicum learning in this study. The number of samples of students used in this study was 15 people. The observation data on the implementation of learning were analyzed descriptively, while the data on the psychomotor abilities of students were analyzed parametrically using SPSS version 25.0 software. Guided inquiry-based practicum learning in this study was carried out well with a percentage of 79.4%. The psychomotor abilities of students at the posttest stage increased by 40% compared to the pretest stage. At the pretest stage, six students had very poor psychomotor abilities, while at the posttest stage there were no students with very poor psychomotor abilities. The results of the product-moment analysis show that the guided inquiry model through practicum learning has a significant effect on the psychomotor abilities of students, with a value of 0.769 and a significance level of 5%. The results of the regression analysis showed that guided inquiry-based practicum learning had an effect of 59.1% on the increase in students' psychomotor abilities. Based on the results of this study the teacher can apply guided inquiry-based practical learning to train or improve the psychomotor abilities of students.
