Abstract

Abstract: Science arises and develops by including roles between theory and experiment. Physics, as part of science, is seen as a process, product, and attitude that is called the nature of science (Nature of Science / NOS). Learners obtain and construct science products in physics learning should pay attention to the NOS through Science Process Skills (SPS). This study aims to determine the level of students' understanding of integrated SPS, namely identifying and controlling variables, hypothesizing, operationally defining, graphing and interpreting data, and designing experiments. The research conducted was descriptive quantitative research with survey methods. The research subjects were students of physics teacher candidates at the University of KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah. The results showed that the integrated SPS student physics teacher candidates were still low with an average of 60.20. This shows that students have not yet reached the level of formal operational cognitive development and have not been strong in basic SPS. Students have the highest ability in the aspect of formulating hypotheses while the lowest aspects are operationally defined. An integrated effort needs to be made to increase SPS for students. A. Wahab Hasbullah.

Abstract

The Pawindan Village Community, Ciamis District, has become aware of the importance of preserving the environment. It can be seen from the programs initiated by the Kampung Keluarga Berencana Magot and the Usaha Peningkatan Pendapatan Keluarga Sejahtera Flamboyan, such as the "Save the Environment" program, which implements the mission "Halaman Dirumat jeung Pipir Diurus." Unfortunately, information on technology for processing waste into valuable goods has not yet arrived, especially regarding techniques for processing waste cooking oil. Therefore, introducing this technology is essential to convey through Community Service activities. This activity aims to apply Appropriate Technology to process waste cooking oil into scented candles, which are economically valuable goods. This activity is a solution chosen by the team and partners to provide additional knowledge and skills in utilizing waste materials into valuable products. The method used in training activities is a lecture method, question and answer discussion, followed by a demonstration and practice of processing waste cooking oil into scented candles. The activity results show the Pawindan Village Community's new knowledge about processing waste cooking oil into scented candles. Data was also obtained on participants' responses before and after participating in the activity, which showed that there was positive interest from the community in using this technology. In the future, this program is expected to help the community, especially in Pawindan Village, Ciamis District, to continue to preserve the environment and acquire new skills

Abstract

Educators at Nurul Yaqin Islamic Junior High School and Cihuni Islamic Junior High School in Tasikmalaya Regency face challenges in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for in-depth learning due to limited understanding and practical skills. This community service activity aims to improve teacher competency in utilizing AI to create meaningful, enjoyable, and conscious learning. The method used is a participatory approach involving 20 teachers in a series of activities from July to November 2025, including socialization, intensive training, workshops on the use of Gemini AI, implementation, and mentoring. Evaluation used pre-test and post-test instruments to measure competency improvement. The pre-test results showed that initial pedagogical understanding was better than technical mastery of AI, with weaknesses in exploring advanced features and joyful learning strategies. After training, the post-test results showed a significant increase in understanding and skills in using Gemini AI, especially in aspects of processing teaching device results (score 1.00) and feature utilization (0.96). Understanding of meaningful (0.96) and joyful (0.85) pedagogical concepts also increased significantly, although the mindfulness aspect (0.67) still requires further strengthening. This activity was highly positive among participants and successfully addressed partner issues, serving as a model for effective and sustainable AI technology implementation in rural schools
