Abstract

An academic information system is an application that can facilitate to processing of data and information related to academic problems. Currently, SMK Negeri 1 Tondano as one of the vocational schools in North Sulawesi still uses manual methods in processing the data and information needs, so it feels less effective and efficient. This causes the data process to not be integrated properly, and it takes a long time to process data or information. This research was conducted to develop a web-based academic information system at SMK Negeri 1 Tondano. Where this information system is expected to be able to help the data and information processing process. In developing the system to be built, the research method used is the prototype development method and Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling to simplify the design of the system to be built. Based on the results of system testing using black-box testing, it is stated that the system can run as well as expected.

Abstract

Technology in the field of education can now be utilized with the aim of solving various existing problems, including students' learning problems at school. The aim of this research is to develop interactive learning media in network service technology subjects at Christian Vocational School 1 Tomohon as a tool in the learning process. The development method used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. This development method consists of 6 stages, namely: (1) Concept, (2) Design, (3) Material Collecting, (4) Assembly, (5) Testing, (6) Distribution. This learning media testing includes 3 tests, namely compatibility testing by media experts, material suitability testing by material experts, and usability testing by users. Making this learning media itself uses the Adobe Animate application. From the tests that have been carried out, the results show that interactive learning media in the network service technology subject at Christian Vocational School 1 Tomohon has no problems and is suitable for use as a tool for students and teachers in the learning process.

Abstract

Learning should help people become more like themselves, says humanistic thinking.Assuming the learner has a firm grasp on both himself and his immediate surroundings, we may say that the learning process has been fruitful. Put another way, pupils are able to reach their full potential as individuals. Among the numerous advantages of incorporating humanistic approaches into equitable learning are the following: the cultivation of a more complete person, a more developed conscience, a shift in societal attitudes and phenomena, the establishment of routines that are more democratic, participatory, dialogic, and human, the promotion of an atmosphere of mutual respect in the classroom, the promotion of free speech, and the submission of ideas. Reading, taking notes, and organizing research resources are all part of library research, which is a way of gathering library data. Learning within the context of humanistic philosophy, this study's findings support the premise that students perform better academically when they are emotionally and psychologically well-supported. It also confirms that students develop greater resilience and self-assurance when they are more comfortable opening up about their thoughts, feelings, values, expectations, and aspirations. Personality and conscience development, attitude and thought shifts, examination of social phenomena, democratic and participatory learning, interactive and human nurturing are just a few of the many advantages of using humanistic methods to equitable learning.

Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh kompensasi dan komunikasi terhadap kinerja guru telah dilaksanakan pada guru SMK Negeri 1 Kakas. Berdasarkan analisis data, pengujian hipotesis serta hasil pembahasan yang telah dikemukakan peneliti, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kompensasi terhadap kinerja guru SMK Negeri 1 Kakas. Hal ini memberikan arti bahwasanya kompensasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan komunikasi terhadap hasil kinerja guru SMK Negeri 1 Kakas. Hal ini memberikan gambaran bahwasanya komunikasi dapat menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan kinerja guru. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan kompensasi dan komunikasi terhadap kinerja guru SMK Negeri 1 Kakas. Dengan demikian, maka kompensasi dan komunikasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking ability and learning independence of elementary school students. This research aims to develop STEM-based animation learning videos that are feasible, practical, and effective in improving these two aspects. The research uses a research and development (R&D) method with a 4D development model consisting of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate according to the Thiagarajan model. The subject of this study involves elementary school students as the main users. Data collection is carried out through feasibility tests, practicality, and effectiveness by involving material experts, media experts, teachers, and students. Data analysis uses independent t test and MANOVA for effectiveness. The results of the study showed that the learning videos developed were considered feasible by material experts (91.7) and media experts (80). The effectiveness of the product can be seen from the results of the independent t test and MANOVA with a significance of 0.000. The practicality of the video was rated high by teachers (88) and students (92.8), with a 100% implementation rate. The conclusion of this study is that STEM-based animation learning videos are able to significantly improve the critical thinking ability and learning independence of elementary school students, so that it can be implicated in learning.

Abstract

In the midst of the challenges of modernization and globalization, character education is an important component in forming students' personalities. Various problems, such as environmental influences and lack of special training on character education, make the teacher's role not optimal in instilling student character. This research aims to analyze the role of teachers in the character education process and provide recommendations for developing example-based educational practices. This research uses a qualitative method, a type of literature study. The research results show that teachers have a strategic role as role models in instilling positive characters, such as honesty, discipline, responsibility and tolerance. The teacher's example is reflected in daily behavior, interactions with students, and the application of values in the learning process. Thus, character education through teacher example is very effective in building positive attitudes in students. Additional support in the form of training, supportive policies, and collaboration between schools, parents and the community is needed to strengthen the role of teachers as role models in character education.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang pengembangan model pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar dalam upaya mengintegrasikan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D) yang bertujuan untuk merancang, menguji, dan mengevaluasi efektivitas metode pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai alat bantu dalam proses belajar mengajar. Dalam pengembangan ini, penulis mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi di kelas serta merancang strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif dan interaktif, sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Proses pengembangan melibatkan beberapa tahap, yaitu analisis kebutuhan, perancangan model pembelajaran, uji coba, dan evaluasi untuk memastikan relevansi dan efektivitas model yang dihasilkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa, memperkaya materi ajar, serta memfasilitasi pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan kolaboratif. Artikel ini juga menyarankan beberapa rekomendasi praktis bagi para pendidik dan pemangku kebijakan dalam mengoptimalkan integrasi teknologi di sekolah dasar untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang lebih berkualitas.Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Inovatif, Integrasi Teknologi, Kualitas Pembelajaran.

Abstract

Education at the elementary school level has an important role in shaping the basis of students' knowledge and character. Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in Indonesia aim to introduce social, cultural, and geographical concepts, as well as connect local knowledge with global dynamics. In the era of globalization, it is important to integrate local wisdom with global phenomena so that students can understand these two aspects in a balanced way. Digital media, with its ability to disseminate information quickly and widely, offers a potential solution in overcoming this challenge. This study aims to explore the use of digital media in social studies learning in grade 4 elementary school to build a connection between local wisdom and globalization, as well as to see how digital media can enrich students' learning experiences with local and global cultural contexts. This research uses a literature study approach, by collecting various secondary sources related to the use of digital media in education, especially in connecting local wisdom with globalization in social studies learning. Data is collected through searches for relevant articles, books, and research reports. The results of the study show that digital media such as digital scrapbooks, digital comics, e-story books, and multiplatform media are effective in introducing the values of local wisdom to students. In addition, digital media is also able to bridge local knowledge with a global context, providing a more interactive and relevant learning experience to the needs of the times.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan rancagan proses pengembangan media video materi keanekaragaman: meningkatkan tolerasi dan kebhinekaan pada peserta didik sebagai tugas mata kuliah Pengembangan Materi dan Pembelajaran PKN SD. Sehingga dengan hasil penelitian ini dapat memudahkan guru dan peserta didik dalam proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagaradjan. Model 4D terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu: 1) Define (Pendefinisian) merupakan tahap untuk mengidentifikasi tujuan pengembangan, sasaran audiens, konteks pembelajaran, dan analisis kebutuhan pengembangan media video, 2) Design (Perancangan) sebagai tahap untuk pemilihan format, konten, fitur media video, serta skenario, 3) Develop (Pengembangan) merupakan tahap yang melibatkan produksi, pengeditan, dan pengujian media video oleh para ahli serta mahasiswa sebagai sasaran audiens, 4) Disseminate (Penyebaran) merupakan tahap untuk mendistribusikan atau menyebarkan media video yang telah selesai dikembangkan kepada mahasiswa pada mata kuliah kompetensi pembelajaran. Tahap penyebaran (disseminate) tidak dilakukan dikarenakan waktu serta kondisi yang kurang memungkinkan, dan pada tahap pengembangan (develop) tujuan penelitian telah tercapai dimana media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah diketahui sejauh mana kelayakannya untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran diketahui dari hasil validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media.

Abstract

Kualitas pengajaran di sekolah dapat ditingkatkan melalui metode pembelajaran yang efektif, salah satunya dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran seperti Big Book. Proses pendidikan di sekolah sangat penting dalam membentuk kinerja dan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan produk pembelajaran Big Book yang efektif dalam pembentukan karakter siswa sesuai nilai-nilai Pancasila. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di sekolah dasar. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Big Book yang diperbesar dengan teks dan gambar menarik, serta warna yang mencolok, dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Selain itu, Big Book terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter seperti kejujuran, gotong royong, dan nasionalisme yang terkandung dalam Pancasila. Big Book tidak hanya memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran tetapi juga menciptakan efek psikologis positif yang meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman siswa. Kesimpulannya, Big Book sebagai media pembelajaran berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan pembentukan karakter siswa di sekolah dasar. Implementasi Big Book dalam pembelajaran Pancasila dengan materi "Aku Cinta Pancasila" efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter siswa sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila, menjadikan mereka lebih termotivasi dan berkarakter. Oleh karena itu, Big Book layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran dalam pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar.
